When a gold flash in deep blue eyes captures Aurora's attention, she can't deny the instantaneous bond connecting her to the man who can shift into a massive, ancient beast. Nor can she resist calling him Daddy when he fulfills her secret dreams.

Drake watched the mountains around Wyvern erupt from the ground. With his fellow dragons, he has guarded all who settled there from harm, waiting for the one who is meant to be his. The one only he can pleasure and protect. The woman they call Aurora.

Now change is coming to Wyvern. A centuries-old pact between the founders and their powerful allies could save the inhabitants of the city once again, but only a dragon Daddy can truly guard his mate from harm.

I never thought…

That I would DNF a Pepper North book. I made it to page 26. There was just something off with the writing. It was weird. The fact that they just mate until they die, then replace them immediately felt gross and emotionless. He basically just walked up to her during a funeral, marks her, and then forces her to leave with him later that day. Shudder. So much ick. I definitely will read this author again, but not this series.

I’m just going to add ‘Dragon Daddy’ to my list of things I didn’t know I needed til now. Drake was a big and sexy dragon shifter after my own heart. When he sets eyes on on Aurora his young mate their bond takes over and fate steps in. 𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗞𝗘 was an engaging read from start to finish and as the start of a new series, promises great things to come. I’m giving it the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

-10! Awful! The plot is non existent, it’s not a proper DDLG and the writing is awful.

If I could mark this book as a minus I would! I can’t explain how awful it is, but I’ll try. The dragons mate for their human lives, and when the human mates die the dragons get another one! In the case of Drake he meets her at his MATES FUNERAL! He kisses and marks her hand and she’s marked as his. Later that day after he’s burnt all his old mates things, ie clothes etc, he collects Aurora later that day and takes her to live forever in his tomb I mean home. Aurora isn’t ever allowed to go out again on her own, she has to stay in his house, unless he takes her out. 😡😡😡😡 WTAF AM I READING??? POOR AURORA IS BASICALLY A PRISONER IN HIS HOUSE! SHE EVEN HAS TO WORK AT HIS COMPANY FROM HIS HOUSE/TOMB!

This is not a daddy dom book. Putting that label on it lures poor saps like me to read it. Yes he slaps her bottom and she stands in the corner, she’s not allowed to cook, clean, wash herself, or clean her own teeth! (I kid you not!( Apart from that she has a stuffed gold dragon, ( Yes of course she does.) and that’s it! She doesn’t ever play with toys, they don’t go over any boundaries as he’s a dragon and tells her what he’ll do!

HATED IT!

Who is Aurora? Who is the mysterious man she runs into? Where is she and what happens at that encounter? I got so engrossed in this story, I forgot to stop and make notes of my thoughts on the book as I read. This story was INTENSE!!! The concept of the series was/is unique. I have read over 2500 books and reviewed them since June 2015. I have not read anything like this. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the next book!

What a start to the Fated Dragon Daddies series. This is Drake and Aurora's story. There is an amazing amount of intensity and intrigue. I loved how the story and world building unfolded. I can't wait to read more about the world and the characters in it.

not great but not awful

I did struggle a decent bit with this book. Honestly, my rating is closer to 2.5 stars, but I like to round up.

The overall story is interesting, and I do enjoy parts of the DDLG relationship between these two.

However, I don’t love the idea of having multiple fated mates, one after the other. Especially since Drake had literally just lost one mate and was then immediately thrust into another. I don’t know, I just don’t like the concept. Also I dislike when DDLG books don’t have at least a boundary discussion. The ‘daddy dom’ relationship Drake has is very much ‘do it because is say so’ but he doesn’t communicate very well at all, and there’s certainly no discussions on limits. A lot of unnecessary problems could have been avoided had the author added what is an extremely vital part of being in any kind of D/s relationship.

The writing is very juvenile and desperately needs an editor. There are so many missing transitions and scenes that it makes the story confusing. I had to reread several parts just to try to piece together what is happening when the author chose to leave out important scene information.

I think I’ll try the next book simply because I am slightly intrigued by the story, but I really hope it’s written better.

2.5/5 stars and 1/5 spice.

Having just graduated from college, Aurora has moved back home temporarily as she gets ready to start her new life. But, when she meets a handsome stranger her life’s path literally changes in an instant.

Drake has just lost one mate only to find another. It’s an instant attraction and bond, and it’s now his job to provide for and love Aurora as part of the old ways that the dragons above the small town of Wyvern have followed for hundreds of years . . . keeping the town safe in exchange for a fated mate from the founding families.

But can Aurora trust in the bond and the old ways she didn't even know existed until she met Drake?

I love that Pepper North is giving readers a new type of Daddy as she tackles a series of dragons finding their “little” mates! Drake and Aurora were so sweet to watch together. Drake is both a dragon shifter and a Daddy Dom. Aurora is young and innocent and definitely gave off “little” vibes even before she realized who Drake would be to her. The book includes some spicy moments as they deepen their relationship as well as explore their power dynamic between Daddy Dom and little girl. It was lovely watching Aurora blossom as she learned to trust in Drake and their bond and explore her little side.

Things get very interesting at the end as all of the dragons protecting Wyvern are brought together to protect the small town. It's a bit of a cliff hanger as you know this threat will carry into the rest of the series, but Drake and Aurora as a couple have a happily ever after to their romance. 4 stars.

Aurora had her life planned. She was going to work for the firm that she interned. But to her surprise it didn’t happen. Now she is lost in the shuffle till a dark handsome stranger comes along and changes her world literally. Drake didn’t expect to find his new mate so soon but fate had other plans. Now he has to bring her to his world and show her what it means to be not only a mate but to be his little one. This story is a bit different. We are now in the realm on dragon shifters with littles. I think it is kind of sweet. Aurora isn’t a foolish girl. She is intelligent but just hasn’t had great luck. Drake is a hot gold dragon and shows her all there is. I am liking the connection these two have. The story starts off sweet but there is something amiss. You know something is not right. When Aurora unveils more, THAT is when it really begins. We learn a bit more about Wyvern and what is means with the Dragons protection. I do love that things are all joyous. We learn that there are seven dragons that have no mates. And what of the looming issue. I knew the silver dragons story would be next. When you read the book you will know why.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Firefly the comforter

Wow. What an amazing start to the Fated Dragon Daddies series.
Drake is complex and a perfect daddy. Grieving for his mate, he meets Aurora. His fated mate. Their lives are about to change dramatically.
Aurora has come home, having not gotten the job she was banking on. Tail between her legs, she moves in with her grandparents and meets an intoxicating man who captures her mind and body.
As Aurora comes to understand the greater history of their town, she finds herself swept up and away to a lair in the sky.
This story captured my heart. I have loved dragons as long as I can remember, and Drake makes me wish yet again I could find my dragon.
This story is creative and detailed. The characters are lovingly written with passion and thought. The greater world is honoured in this story, and it is going to be complex and captivating as it changes forever. I am looking forward to the other dragons stories and the growth that will come to all the characters and the town.
I highly recommend this book and author. I will try and wait patiently for the next chapter in what is going to be an epic series.

I was so excited for this series. I love Pepper North and I love dragon shifters. And while it didn’t blow me away it was good. Drake is one of the dragons that guard the valley where Aurora grew up and lives. But most of the village has forgotten the old ways and forgotten the dragons. So learning she is a dragon mate was a surprise for Aurora. It is a slower moving story about them learning about each other and what exactly the mate bond can do. Then near the end it sets up the catastrophe that I’m guessing will be discussed more in the rest of the series.
I did like it. The age play was barely touched on for those who prefer books not heavy on age play. There are a few steamy scenes but they aren’t graphic and there are spankings.
I did find some of the scene transitions a little abrupt, normally they are a bit smoother, and I personally didn’t understand why Aurora got so mad at Drake. So that part of the book seemed a bit forced to me. But it was still a good story and I want to read some more to see who the rest of the dragons end up with.

Wow! What a fantastic story that left me wanting more. This is the first book in the series of many to come. This is a story about Aurora who has just returned home from university with no employment. As she’s coming home, she stopped at the local cemetery where a funeral was being held, there she met a man who touched her hand and left her feeling highly aroused, unlike any other way she had before. I loved how her father and grandmother knew the signs that she was touched by a dragon and became his fated mate. There’s a lot going on in this story where Aurora has to get used to having someone in her head and being always with her and that is her mate Drake. I’m really looking forward to reading what is happening in the world where all technology has stopped and the dragons need to protect the village where they have always done so.

I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.

Interesting dragon fated mates read!

I was on the fence where to rate this, between a 3 and 4. I went with the 4 as there were amazing things, such as the world building, the uniqueness of the dragon shifting, how the mates work, and some other things. The spicy scenes are well written, sometimes you feel the chemistry, and sometimes you don't. There are some editing issues, wrong name in place, little things like that. I like some daddy books, but when it comes to cribs and things like that it is not my forte. The storyline is interesting, but there isn't a lot of it. You are left with somewhat of a cliff hanger, little bit of happy for how, but wanting to have answers for what is happening. I would recommend this book as there are a lot of unique things with the dragons and world building, that I haven't read in other dragon shifter books before. There are a lot of sex scenes, more so than story, but that doesn't bother me.

I love dragon shifters and I love Daddy books so when I found out that Pepper North was combining these two things, I knew I would like it. And yeah, I loved it. Aurora is no helpless woman. She's smart, independent and knows what she wants. Drake has been waiting for his mate for awhile. One thing that took me back a bit was he had had other mates before Aurora who had passed away but I guess when you live as long as dragon shifters, that's to be expected. Anyway, she goes to her grandparents to stay for awhile and Drake "marks" her without her knowing what it means. Of course Grandma is gonna know and the story begins with her going with Drake to his place. Their connection was on point and I love that she gave back as good as he put out! This was a wonderful story and now I can't wait for more!!

What an excellent start to a new series! Aurora has come home to Wyvern with her tail between her legs, her words, because she had neglected to apply for a job after graduating. After all, she was certain the company she interned with would hire her. They didn't. She meets a mysterious man, Drake, in the streets. Aurora has no idea who Drake is, but when she goes to live with her grandparents, she is told he is one of Wyvern's dragon guardians. Aurora is his fated mate, and she moves in with Drake, and their life together begins.

This was an excellent story. I enjoyed Aurora's relationship with Drake. He was her Daddy, but he allowed her to do the job that she trained for in college. I liked the story, and I'm looking forward to the next books in the series.

Loved this one ... Drake and Aurora were so cute. The sudden impact, the connection ... Sad how some of the dragons are still without that one special person. I was in Aurora's place back in the day, of not getting the job you were sure would be yours when you graduated, and then reality of need to come back home - it totally sucks, especially having to deal with a bratty sister. And then to lose your number one before you're ready to lose them so sad and tragic. I still think Aurora gave into him to quickly, but the fantasy was great. Wish sometimes real life took after the fantasies we build in our mind. This was a quick read, I didn't want to put it down; I got to the end and was disappointed it was over and would have to wait for the next one.

The first book in the Fated Dragon Daddies is off with a fiery roar. Aurora is home after graduating to find a job but what she finds is so much more…a history and things are not what they seem. Drake has guarded the mountains around Aurora’s hometown for a long while and when his mate passes, he lucks out by finding a new mate in Aurora. Their attraction is instant and now it’s just a matter of bonding to ensure that the rules that were put in place years ago are maintained. As Aurora is new to everything, will she be able to trust in the old ways? This is a very interesting melding of paranormal meets daddy dom/little girl dynamic, and Ms. North gives readers a well written storyline with characters that are intriguing that will have you wanting more.

This is a new, different direction for Pepper North...Dragon Shifters..and omg it's good! Drake has a flavor of her Magic Of The Twelve series...if you haven't read it you really should...it's not the same as but it just has a taste of that magical feel. I guess that is the best description of this book..Magical. Drake and Aurora are wonderful characters. I enjoyed their interaction. I loved that Aurora didn't hesitate to call Drake out on his BS. As always, Pepper's world building is impeccable and the storyline is engrossing. I cannot wait for the next book! This series is going to be amazing!

A wonderful new series to devour.

I love the magical aspect of this story. Dragons are not my first genre choice, however I will happily read all future books in this series. The entertaining and quirky relationship that develops between the fated mates makes it all worthwhile.

I enjoyed the impending danger that was added into the plot, allowing the Dragons to demonstrate their dedication to the protection of Wyvern, it's citizens and hopefully have an increased chance to meet their fated mates.

Pepper North has a unique style in creating an imaginative yet fantastically almost believable love story. She never disappoints with her strong female characters and hunky Daddies.

5 stars - as long as you suspend your analytical mind and just enjoy the story. There is very little background as to when/where this story occurs - the village Aurora comes from and returns to appears to live in the past, yet she has gone off to college and returned. The dragon apparently runs corporations to increase his treasure - but the main story is the DD/lg relationship between Aurora and her mate, the dragon. If you have read and like Pepper North's books in the past you will immediately recognize the writing style, and in true Pepper North style, she delivers.

I received an ARC and freely offer this review.

Aurora and Frames wonderful story as mates in Wyverng

This is a simply wonderful read as we learn of the Dragon families that have been loyal to the dragons since they originally arrived in Wyvern.

Drake had never expected to bump into his mate so soon after the death of his last mate but as she had brushed her hand against him the beginning of a Dragon tattoo started.

Their mating and bonding had been very special and as you learn about the history of dragons and the place and families they care for you will love them and this story as much as myself.

I am looking forward to the next book in the series

Now that she has finished school Aurora finds herself back in Wyvern seeking employment while staying with her family. When she meets Drake, he shows her a lifestyle that she had never considered both when it comes to dragons and themselves.

Drake has endured a devastating loss and is unprepared when Aurora comes into his life. He knows that they are mates but not only is there all the things that Aurora doesn’t know but the intrigue aspect of the story of well.

The story is unique and theirs is a story of self discovery as they learn about themselves and each other as they fight for the safety of the town and themselves.

Drake by Pepper North is an engaging and fiery addition to the spicy romance genre. Set in the charming small town of Wyvern, the story features the charismatic male lead, Drake, and the sweet, sassy heroine, Aurora. The dynamic between them is full of flirty banter and magnetic chemistry. Pepper North masterfully weaves kinky elements with tender moments, creating a story that’s both hot and heartfelt. The colorful cast of characters adds charm and humor to the vibrant setting. I’m looking forward to continuing the series and discovering more about Drake, Aurora, and their mischievous town. A must-read for fans of sassy small-town romances with a touch of magic and spice!

This book is the first stand-alone book in the Dragon Daddies Series and it looks like another winner for Pepper. This book starts out with Aurora going to live with her grandmother in Wyvern then meeting Drake at a cemetery and then learning Dragon Daddy history and about fated mates.
Drake is the gold Dragon and comes to take Aurora home with him.
I loved the fantasy world that Pepper has created here and the characters and pace of the storyline. And of course that bit of steam and spanking are delicious to read.
Can't wait for Silver Dragon Daddy's story next!

This book gets this new series off to an intriguing start. Drake and Aurora are the featured couple in this story, and I liked them both. Their chemistry was solid, and they generated some delightful DDlg heat. As this is the first book in a series that is going to have an overarching storyline playing out over it, a lot of groundwork is laid out, the lore is explained, and we get a brief introduction to the other dragons. Overall, it was an enticing and satisfying first foray that has me eager for more.

Drake

The town of St den is protected by dragons. This has largely been forgotten in this age of technology but some people remember. Aurora has to return home until she finds a job after college. All of a sudden she is claimed by the gold dragon! That's the beginning of this tale, which tells her story. This first book leaves us with a bit of a cliffhanger, all technology has been stymied worldwide. What, who, why are questions to be answered. The dragon part is just added spice to an excellent romance.

Drake and Aurora's story really pulled me and I loved it. I loved that Drake is the gold dragon and he didn't just want Aurora to be with him but also to do something she loved. Aurora had a lot to take in at first but she fit so well with Drake and she didn't cower. Together they had a lot of spice. I have to say it took me a moment to be okay with the thought of him living long after her but I never felt like she was compared to previous mates in any way. I look forward to finding out what happened to the town and how the dragons protect them in the next book.

Fated Mate to a Dragon!

WOW Different is the word. The concept of a Fated Mate is not normal in our society. I have to say that I was not real comfy with Aurora not being given more info before being swept off by Drake. It could have been handled differently..

That said, it just as sweet & loving as her other Daddy / Little relationship stories. As with any relationship there are issues to work through.

If you enjoy her other Series then I think you'll enjoy this Series! And if you haven't read any of the other books by Pepper North, what are you waiting for?? LOL

While this is the first book in a brand new series, it can be read as a standalone. This is not your typical Pepper North book at all! While it still has elements of her previous writings, this one brings us dragons and fated mates! Our fmc Aurora is home from college and not sure what she wants to do now. A chance encounter and a brush of a hand sets her on course for being a dragon's fated mate. It was an excellent story, I loved the way the world written!

Ms. North has brought us a sweet Dragon Daddy, and I'm in love. Drake is sweet, patient, kind, protective, and a dragon. Aurora is a bit of a lost soul. She's smart, strong, a bit of an innocent, and Drake's mate. Their story is an insta-love romance that has a lot of sweetness blended with the heat, with some added drama. It's not overly complex or suspenseful, but there are secrets that need to be discovered. I'm looking forward to learning more about the other dragons and their mates.
