Reeling from a traumatic event, Lydia Stone needs space from her overbearing but well-meaning family. When the opportunity arises, she jumps at the chance to investigate a clandestine group hunting for shifters. Traveling to the wilds of Alaska is daunting, but Lydia is a well-trained Gargoyle. Soon after arriving, she finds herself embroiled in a clan war. Full blurb coming soon.
Faith Gibson's love of books started early on. So much so that she decided to write her own stories. When a college professor told her she had a gift, she took him at his word and put pen to paper (because back then, there were no computers. Shh, we don't mention her age.)
Her love of all things paranormal mixed with crazy dreams led to her first series, The Stone Society, about Gargoyle shifters in search of their mates while protecting humanity from unhinged beasts known as The Unholy. The Hounds of Zeus MC series was born from one of their own being a mate of a Gargoyle. The Rebel Moon Shifters are the next generation, all the kids from the first two series.
Faith also abbles in MM worlds and contemporary suspense, but her first and forever love is fantasy.
When Faith isn’t hard at work on her next story, she can be found reading, cooking, playing in the dirt (planting stuff) or playing with her staffy pup, all while listening to hard rock music.
This book is well written with a nice flow and amazing characters. Beck is a blue collar working polar bear shifter who meets his fated mate in Lydia who is a kickass Gargoyle. The secondary characters are also just as great as the main characters. There is plenty of action and adventure to keep you engrossed in the story line. There is just enough back story so that you may read this as a standalone, but when the other books in the series are as amazing as this one why wouldn’t you read them all. I would recommend this book.
Blades of Ice:A Paranormal Shifter Romance (Rebel Moon Shifters Book 3) by Faith Gibson. This is Lydia's story. After what happened, she is still dealing with the fact that she took a life. Regardless of the fact she was protecting the new queen, it was still a life. Now, in Alaska, on an assignment, she is hoping the time away will help her come to terms with what she did. What she didn't expect was to find her mate. Beck is a pilot for his mother and sister's tourist business. As a polar bear shifter, women are superior, and he is in a subservient position. His mother, who once was the queen of their pack, is now missing, and her has been instructed to find her. When Beck and Lydia's path cross, they discover that they are mates. So we get to see them two navigate, them being mates, being from two different species, helping Lydia deal with her issues while trying to discover who is responsible for the disappearance of Beck's mother. There was so much going on. I really wasn't looking forward to Lydia's story. She just wasn't one of the next generation children, I thought, was interesting. However, her and Beck's story had a lot going on and kept my attention. I also enjoyed the other children of the next generation, and seeing the original characters is always a treat. 4 stars for me. I am curious as to who the next book will be about. Regardless of who it will be, will that not deter me from wanting to read it.
This is the best of this series. Lydia, a kick-ass gargoyle is looking for space away from her overprotective parents. Beck is your average blue-collar worker except that he isn't. He is a polar bear shifter and his mother is the leader of their pack. Lydia calls on her pack, tribe, and a few others to fight for their lives.
The story is intriguing and has all the elements of a good story—angst, love, and interfering family members. There are just enough backstories to pique your interest to read. The entire Shifter series is amazing.
Can Lydia get over her past and find a possible future?
I loved how strong Lydia is. Even though she's trying 2 get over her past she went on a mission 2 Alaska. When she gets pushed onto the ground, she got one hell is a surprise besides being sick at her stomach. What caused it though? She finds others that she's willing 2 help after what happened 2 her. The more she finds out and more determined she is 2 find sum truths. There were sum unexpected things happened. I loved it. Read it u won't b disappointed. It keeps u wanting more!!
Lydia takes a mission in Alaska to find other shifters, but most of all to get over the past. She is mowed down by a stranger and when another comes to help her up, she feels suddenly nauseous. Her goyle knows what that means, but she is slow on the uptake. Beck is just your average working class guy, but he is holding a secret. He is a polar bear shifter, and his mother was the queen of their pack. Now the former queen is missing and Beck is tasked with finding her and Lydia comes along because they feel this undeniable pull towards each other. Will they find his mother? Will Beck go back with Lydia toAtlanta? I can’t wait for the series to continue!!
This is an excellent story. I only gave it three stars because I felt she inserted her own thoughts and opinions on religion that really had no bearing to the story. As a reader I felt the author was making a political statement which I don't want to read. Any personal ideology should be kept to herself. I noticed she did this same thing in the previous book as well. I want to read the fantasy of the story taking me away from real life issues not be a part of them.
Great follow up with reconciling emotions all around. Storey hits the ground running and doesn’t let up through out. There are some twists that you may or may not see coming. I love the family vibe that is present through out of what it should be and a not good example to contrast. Characters are fun and I even wanted a recipe. Enjoy this story. I am looking forward to the next one!
Blades of Ice is by far the best in the 3 book series Beck and Lydia journey is a easy to follow story that ebbs and flows smoothly with a constantly evolving plot full of conflict drama action love and unexpected twists to keep things interesting and exciting. I received a advance readers copy of this book via the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Love keeping up with the progeny of the clan as they grow up and find their fated mates, discover new species and have great adventures with perilous encounters and heart pounding experiences and happily ever afters. These stories never disappoint I will always say yes to the good vs evil and love takes all that occurs in ms Gibsons books
I thought Blades of Ice was delightfully spectacular!!!! I absolutely loved Beck. Faith brought the story to life so much I wanted to stab his family with Lydia's blades of ice!!! Another great one for the books.

An amazing story that will have you binge reading. Another great by a talented author. Lydia jumps at the chance to go to Alaska. There she finds a Shifter clan that was new to her. Will she find romance and danger? Not to be missed , totally enjoyable.
Another five-star story in the Stone Society. Lydia and Beck story did not disappoint. It was romantic, steamy, and full of action with an amazing happily ever after. I can't wait to see who gets the next story.
