Thrust into a world beyond her wildest imagination, Aria Torvel’s simple life abruptly shatters after learning she is a Portalis. The only one of her kind and gifted with an ancient portal magic, she has become the unwitting bridge between the Three Realms.
But now the doorways are open and more importantly, exposed. Mages, elves and prowling demons have become part of her new reality and Aria has little choice but to traverse lands both beautiful and sinister in order to survive.
Accompanied by a plucky mage, a stuffy elven General and her harried grandfather in tow, Aria’s task is to seal these magical doorways before the infamous Lord of Shadows can hunt her down.
Friends will reveal their true forms, enemies will seek to break her, and witches will emerge whose appetite for human flesh is a haunting reminder of the wrongs of the mortal world. With an impending war looming on the horizon, Aria must embrace her newfound power and unravel its obscure secrets, or risk the encroaching darkness destroying all that she holds dear.
An enemies-to-lovers tale, this is the first instalment from the exciting Portalis Runes fantasy trilogy brought to you by A.G. Brogan.
- romantic and deep - LOTS of plot twists - slower pacing - interesting magic and bonds - deep world building - love triangle - FMC coming into her powers - Handsome fae generals and dark broody shadow daddies
I enjoyed this book immensely, but it did drag in some parts. It isn’t spicy, but it definitely doesn’t lack in the angst and romantic tension department. I loved the character development and felt each of them were deep and real, and that the prospect of a ‘portalis’ that seals portals to other realms sooooo intriguing. I enjoyed this, and am excited for the next!
An absolutely enchanting story from page one. A. G. Brogan nailed the world building, and gave great imagery, while shifting between the mortal and elven realms.
We get three pov’s and follow our main character Aria, a stuffy elven general Eron, and the sinister Vylnor, who will stop at nothing to capture Aria for his evil master.
Aria goes through so much growth as she steps into her unleashed power & it was moving to read. She’s such a loyal and family focused MFC. I can’t wait to see how she continues to shift moving forward.
I loved the plot twists, and my mind will be in a state of unrest until I know what happens after that ending!
4.5⭐ This is a creative fast paced YA epic fantasy adventure. Just when you think it's heading one direction, it throws you the other way. It's action packed, contains violence and trauma, but it's a journey of self discovery, resilience and love. Filled with lots of suspense, banter and twists, can't wait for the next book! ✨Chosen one ✨Enemy to lover ✨He falls first ✨Fated mates ✨Unique magic ✨Villain with corrupted dark magic ✨Protective and grumpy general
You want a book with a non-stop plot that keeps you engaged and up way later than you should be? Look no further, because that book is The Portalis Runes.
This book was so unassuming. I received it as an ARC and it didn’t even have a cover yet! I started reading and Could. Not. Stop!
Aria Torvel is a caring, compassionate, feisty, stubborn girl who captures your heart immediately. She grew up totally unaware of the power living right within her. Through a series of events, she discovers the truth; she is the Portalis, a powerful individual only seen once every 400 years. The Portalis has the ability to open and close portals that go between the three worlds: Elavon-world of the elves, Oromos-world of all things evil, and Arckus- world of the mortals.
Eron is the elvish general sent to collect Aria and bring her back to the elvish land of Elavon, where she can be safe and start her magical training. A handsome male with flowing locks and silver eyes, he wants nothing more to ensure Arias safety and the safety of the realms.
Vylnor is the Lord of Shadows, sent by the evil master of Oromos to capture the Portalis in order to control all of the portals scattered between their three worlds. His lack of empathy and total arrogance are put to the test with each encounter he has with Aria. (His snark and condescension endeared me to him and he quickly became my favorite 😍)
Thus begins an epic adventure worthy of any and all fantasy-readers time.
There’s also a host of excellent supporting characters, including a devilish mage, motherly housekeeper, and an elvish healer, among others.
The plot is a 5/5 as it is so well thought out, keeps you interested and intrigued, and leaves you with just enough to be craving more.
The characters are a 4.5/5 because they are the best! Such a fun cast and so entertaining. My only issue was how quickly Aria was able to just use her magic. While it was uncontrolled it still did exactly what she needed, which felt too easy. Though that also helped move the book along so it is the tiniest of deals.
There is no spice in this book (0/5), although there is some will-they-won’t they; just in this first book it is a hard “they won’t.” Honestly didn’t bother me at all, I enjoyed the majority of the focus being on the plot and the characters.
All that to say, this book is excellent. It is one I will recommend to everyone for all time, and I CANNOT wait for the next installment!!!
The portalis runes was such a fun and action packed book!
The main character Aria is just adorable. She is compassionate, caring, feisty and stubborn. She is not there to give up to something she believes in. She discovers the throught about who she is and her character develops but deep inside she is still that caring stubborn girl which I absolutely adored..
And may I just say the MMC 🤭. All broody and snarly. Absolute loved that.
I liked the plot and the action this book had to offer! I did perhaps wish there was even more info about the world and magic system but perhaps we get that in book 2! Cant wait to finish book 2 and get answers to my questions.
Thank you to the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. 😌

The Portalis Runes is an epic YA fantasy with portals to different realms, a unique magic system, and non-stop action! It kept me on my toes the entire time.
It follows the story of Aria, a seemingly normal mortal girl, who happens to be the key to opening portals to other (rival) realms and is now being hunted by all sorts of creatures - elves, mages, demons, and more. This story gave me Lord of the Rings and The Witcher vibes. I loved it!
At times however, I found the dialog a little awkward. It didn’t quite flow for me. I also felt the world building could have been fleshed out more which would have made it an easy 4 star read for me! I found myself constantly wanting to learn more about the magic system and the three realms throughout the book.
All in all, I had a ton of fun while reading this unique story and I can’t wait to see where book 2 takes us!
This book gives you: ✨Fated mates ✨Unique magic system ✨Multiple POVs ✨Hot Villain ✨Set up for enemies to lovers
Spoiler Free Review: The Portalis Runes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️
First of all, thank you to Alice for reaching out and providing me with an arc copy of her book to read and review. I am honoured and also I am MAD BECAUSE I NEED THE NEXT ONE NOW! I am not just recommending this book, I am telling you that if you don’t read this book you are MISSING OUT! You can preorder it now…it releases on the 26th April!
I don’t know where to start. Spectacular. Incredible.
This book holds my entire heart and is actually my first five star read this year. What Alice has done here is magnificent. She has created a world so vibrant and engrossing that I’m actually gutted I can’t get stuck into the second book right away.
I’m a fan of the macabre and scary, so reading about Oromos was definitely my favourite of the three worlds. I could picture it so vividly, and the monsters (especially the witches) were genuinely terrifying.
How she came up with this plot and crafted such an intricate world and well rounded characters is utter genius. Aria is up there as one of my new FMC’s of all time! She’s brave, sassy, soft and sweet all at the same time. ( Do not get me started on the scene in the inn where she puts an asshole in his place, such a badass moment.)
The relationship between characters is also brilliant, and I have to say I’m absolutely living for the banter between Monroe, Jacoby and Eron. Of course I can’t not mention Vylnor…what can I say, I am a sucker for a well written villain.
It’s a slow burn for sure, but I cannot wait to see where the author takes these characters. The tension is 🥵
Epic fantasy, attention grabbing plot, enemies to lovers, badass FMC, magic system and a world that made me think of Lord of the Rings and Throne of Glass. I will shout about this book until I lose my voice. Utterly amazing. Send help, for I am floored by this.
This is a story about Aria and the world she suddenly find herself to be apart of after going to a fortune teller at the festival. Eron and Monroe help her navigate the world she now needs to protect from Vylnor. You get the perspective of Aria, Eron, and Vylnor. I am so excited for what direction the story takes because of having those three perspectives. This has no spice actively in the book, just thoughts of wanting. It is a slow burn that I am curious to see how that develops as the series grows.
I found myself cheering for Vylnor throughout the story and because of that cliffhanger. He is the villian I will gladly cheer for!
This is a review from an arc read, but I would gladly have reviewed it if I found the book on my own

First things first… that CLIFFHANGER?! I’m clapping at Alice’s writing because I have been left needing to read the sequel. Immediately.
Okay so the review.
Characters - Aria is a sassy, young heroine, with a heart of gold. Though let it be noted she doesn’t take any crap, and I love that. Also shoutout to Aria when she was super me-coded. It made me cackle. Me @ all my book boyfriends.
“and I idly wondered if there were any elves who were average in appearance. So much beauty threatened to hurt my eyes and warp my vision”
- Monroe is CLASS. Potentially my favourite character. As comic relief, sidekick, friend… I just think he’s so quotable. A breath of fresh air every time I read him, and I also loved the banter between him and Jacoby. “He may be a great mage, but he is an even greater nitwit and I mean to keep an eye on him” - most notable Jacoby quote at Monroe. I look forward to hopefully much more Monroe in the sequel!
- I feel like this is one of the better enemies to lovers tropes with Vylnor. I think that there’s so much more of him to discover. I’m a sucker for a morally grey / shadow daddy. Don’t come for me.
- I just know I am gonna want to fight Eron. I know he means well but he’s a classic one track mind guy.
World Alice’s world building is pretty darn good. I’m obsessed with the descriptions of Elavon, and the Elves. It all felt magical, and whimsical!
Oriella explained that each property was etched in intrinsic designs based on the families in which they housed.
The one above really sucked me in. Like imagine these beautiful Elven houses with all specific yet intertwined designs per each family. I love that and I want it IRL.
All contained the arched elven windows that I had come to associate with their architecture and, clearly noticing my gawping, Oriella explained, “They are arched that way so your eye is drawn skyward and to the stars. A reminder of our history and whose legacy has been left for us to covet and protect.”
Like stop? This is so lovely. I love it.
The magic system in this is something I can’t wait to explore more of. I think we all are questioning alongside Aria herself. WE WANT TO KNOOOOOW.
Just a super enjoyable fast-paced fantasy read! Go consume.
Now I will sit and await the sequel.

I want to begin by kindly thanking the author for allowing me to read an advanced copy free for a review. It is a joy to be asked and even more so when the book turns out to be a favourite of the year! I felt I had been transported into a D&D, Lord of the Rings world where the banter truly got laughs out of me, the fighting intense and the world building immersive. This story and characters has really captured my heart and continues to ruminate in my mind after reading it. The writing style is so beautiful and captivating with the author using such descriptive and lyrical wording to bring this world to life. “His dark magic clung to the guard like a second skin and dragged him across the worlds, desperate screams of terror echoing from his lips, before they were both summoned into the unmerciful realm of Oromos and the suffering that lay waiting within it.” ^^^ Chills ^^^ I adore this writing style. Our main character Aria is feisty but innocent which she keeps throughout the storyline whilst growing in strength with her magical abilities. As she enters the worlds of elves and dark magic we get a great will they won’t they from not one but two characters. You have the traditional handsome, protective and strong elf General; Eron who throughout is both kind yet controlling and then the dark, unforgiving and cruel Oromos Lord of Shadows Vylnor. I know from his first chapter that he was my favourite and I am so glad the author took this arc the way I’d hoped it would go. Cursed to serve his power hungry and evil Master, Vylnor goes from being a truly ruthless villain willing to do anything to capture Aria to sympathetic, brooding ally that you truly root for in the final chapters! I look forward to reading more about him in the sequel.
Also the final sentence… “Let’s go piss off some elves” 🧝♂️ really just brilliant! Can’t wait for the next instalment.

The Portalis Runes by A.G. Brogan is the first book in a captivating upper YA fantasy series. The story centers around Aria Torvel, a young human who recently discovers that she is a Portalis, a being with the ability to manipulate portals between worlds. With these portals now open, the malevolent master of Oromos seeks to exploit Aria’s abilities to conquer all three realms. Teaming up with a mage, an elf, and her grandfather, Aria embarks on an adventure to close the portals, facing obstacles including the infamous Lord of Shadows sent to capture her.
Firstly, I really enjoyed the author’s writing style. Each sentence flows effortlessly into the next, which allowed for a seamless reading experience. Additionally, the pacing is quick, allowing for the story to never lose its momentum. It’s safe to say that I was thoroughly engaged the entire time while reading.
One aspect that particularly impressed me was the world building. I really appreciated that we gradually learned about the intricacies of the world and its magic system alongside Aria. I also loved the incorporation of potions into battle scenes. The use of potions as a boost (for extra strength, healing, etc.) was a refreshing twist that sets this book apart from other books that I have read.
Lastly, I loved the dynamic between Aria and Vylnor. Their evolving relationship, from true enemies to being reluctantly tolerant of each other to saving each other, is extremely enthralling. I’m eager to see how their relationship will continue to develop in the next book.
Overall, The Portalis Runes is a thrilling and thoroughly enjoyable read that promises an exciting journey into a world of magic friendship. I look forward to reading the rest of the series and following Aria’s adventures further!
Thank you so much A.G. Brogan for sending me an arc of this book!!
I was completely enthralled by "The Portalis Runes" by @agbrogan . This book brilliantly blends romance, fantasy, & action into a captivating narrative. From the very first page, I was hooked & couldn’t put it down until the end. Aria Torvel, the protagonist, is exceptionally well-crafted. Her discovery that she is a Portalis, a unique being with ancient portal magic, sets the stage for an epic journey. Aria's evolution from an ordinary girl to a powerful bridge between the Three Realms is masterfully portrayed, making her relatable and inspiring. The world-building is phenomenal. Each realm is vividly described, with intricate details that bring the settings to life. The magical elements are seamlessly woven into the story, creating a rich & immersive experience. The scenes are intense and gripping, making me feel as if I were right there with the characters. The slow-burning romance is a highlight. The dynamic between Aria and the enigmatic Lord of Shadows is electric. Their chemistry & tension are beautifully crafted, with the transition from enemies to lovers handled with finesse. The supporting characters are equally compelling, adding layers to the plot. Their interactions with Aria enhance the story, making their development as engaging as the main storyline. The book balances intense action with moments of reflection and emotion. Amidst gruesome battles and sinister creatures, moments of hope, friendship, and love shine brightly. Plot twists and revelations kept me on the edge of my seat, with perfect pacing throughout. This is a spectacular read that I wholeheartedly recommend. It is a testament to author's storytelling prowess and creativity. This book will transport you to a magical world filled with danger, passion, and wonder..
The Portalis Runes is an action-packed adventure, world-crossing adventure, with touching familial bonds, all wrapped in a fun magic system!
We follow Aria, a seemingly normal, mortal girl who is just excited that she gets to help with the farms profit counting for the year. The reader (and Aria) quickly find out that she is very much not mortal and in fact she houses a very rare gift that can help save her realm as well as others.
We also get to follow two other POVs in the First General, Eron, and the Lord of Shadows, Vylnor. Vylnor is our resident villain and Eron is our straight laced, elven general.
What is so fun about these POVs is that they will switch mid chapter, and it gives that movie effect of seeing scenes unfold from across the room. I loved getting to see what Aira was going from her POV and then Eron or Vylnor's, and it created a really cool visual.
Family bonds plays a really important part to this storyline, and to Aria as a person. She is strong in her convictions and stays true to who she is. She is strong-willed and stands up for herself throughout while also acknowledging where she needs to change or grow.
The plot of this story, Aria needing to close multiple portals and save the realms, builds nicely. The explanation behind it is complex but the way that it is built on, it doesn't feel overwhelming.
The writing style is also unique, putting the reader more into the assumed time period rather than using current day speech but in a different time.
This story created suspense, quite a few twists, and some gasp out loud moments that I can't wait to get more of with the next installment!
Thank you to the author for sending me a copy of Portalis Runes!! This is my honest review. 😊
3.5 stars ⭐️
This is book one in a fantasy trilogy following Aria whose life is upended when she discovers she is a rare Portalis and that makes being her very dangerous. Many seek to use the Portalis for their own purposes regardless of the cost, and Aria has to question everything when she finds out she doesn’t even know her own family.
The doorways between rival realms are open and a collection of creatures are hunting her: think elves, mages and demons. I’m definitely looking forward to continuing this series and seeing how things shake out!
This is super short for a fantasy book, and that alone made it a great read and makes it stand out in the genre. The great thing about the length is id say 80% of this book is action - there is very little world building which is not everyone’s favourite thing. Unfortunately though the speed of the book felt break-neck and I very rarely felt settled in a scene or with a new character before the story had moved on. Did I know the information I absolutely NEEDED? Yes. Did I feel immersed in the world or invested in the characters without the extra pages? No.
Dare I say multiple POVs are over-used? I love a multi POV book by the chapter but perspective in this book shifted every few pages at times, which I appreciated because it allowed me to see the same scene from multiple perspectives without having to reread the same events in the next chapter, but it just felt like a little too much.
I enjoyed the different characters and just wanted to spend more time with each, especially in their own realms! I am hopeful this will be something focused on in the next book. 🤞🏻
The important takeaway is that I actually this would be an INCREDIBLE fantasy pick for some readers who want go-go-go! The banter is beautifully executed and it promises a classed enemies-to-lovers tale.
If you like fast paced fantasy adventures then this book if for you.
I got Eragon, Shannara Chronicles, The Witcher vibes throughout the whole book. It's fun, it's magical, it's an adventure.
The characters are what made this story 🤌
Aria, the FMC, is a strong character. Very well written. She is a character that learns and adapts from mistakes and actions made by not only herself but others too. Her Grandfather is a star. It was refreshing to have him join in on the adventures and not be the stereotypical old guy that has all the knowledge and sends the MC on their way. No this man was there every step of the way, the ever-loving grandparent who can kick ass too.
The other MCs are such a beautiful contrasts to each other. One ice, one fire. And the balance we see they both provide Aria and her learning experiences is expertly written.
The banter is *chef's kiss*. It showed beautifully (and hilariously) how close the characters and what foundations of relationships and friendships hold strong no matter what.
The only thing I wish was there was a little more of was world building. I would have loved to see more distinction between the realms that are travelled. I wanted to feel more like I had travelled to another one myself whilst reading.
Other than that, i loved it. It would make an excellent tv series. A fun, fast-paced fantasy adventure.
I really enjoyed this book! It is fast paced, high stakes, and the story twisted in ways that I couldn’t have even predicted! It is true enemies to lovers, and I didn’t expect it at all! The battle scenes were so descriptive I felt like I was in the middle of it and I LOVED that it changed pov during so that the reader had a better overview as to what was happening. Aria, the FMC is sassy and strong and I loved that about her! Even though she goes through a lot of internal and physical troubles, she is such a badass! I can’t wait to read the next book to find out more about her powers. The relationship she has to the other main characters in the book is so lovely! And the side characters are so quirky.
I hope to see more of Oromos as the darkness of the story really intrigued me and I hope that book 2 takes us there.
Alice’s use of description throughout the book is second to none. Creating such a colourful world. I was instantly sucked in and felt like I was watching the whole book play out through my eyes.
I can’t wait for book 2. Thank you again for giving me an advance copy.
Wow! What an incredible book! I am seriously blown away by A.G. Brogan’s writing style! Her immaculate use of descriptive language had a film playing in my mind as I read. I was drawn in quickly as Aria’s little world swiftly expanded, portals to realms previously unknown to her opened, & ancient battle for the soul of the legendary Portalis began anew. I enjoyed how no one quite knew what to expect of the new Portalis’ powers, including Aria herself. Her journey of self-discovery with her power & her confusing feelings towards the man who, by all rights, should be her enemy, made the book all the more engaging to read. The banter & easy companionship between Aria & her family was so fun & made the suspenseful, dramatic scenes even more emotional. I am a very thorough reader & it’s hard to throw a twist at me that I don’t see coming. So when a twist is truly shocking & well placed I get SO excited! I can’t wait for you all to read “The Portalis Runes” & gasp at the twist(s) just like I did! I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the trilogy to see what’s in store for Aria & company!
“-in times of great fear, we find even greater courage”
It took me a few chapters to get used to the formality of the character dialogue but once the action of the story started taking place, it didn’t even matter anymore. The plot really sucks you in and leaves you wanting more.
I love the use of potions in this magic system, it is super cool and honestly not something I see a lot of authors using. It reminds me of a video game! I also love that there are so many different types of creatures.
I absolutely adored this book. I couldn't put it down! You follow Aria who is a feisty FMC who believes her life is one way and is thrusted into the truth pretty quickly. She goes on a grand quest to save three realms from horror with her Grandfather and a witty mage as her side kicks. This book is different from any fantasy books I've ever read and kept me surprised through the whole thing! Don't pass up The Portalis Runes! ✨
⚔️Action ⚔️Magic ⚔️Enemies to Lovers ⚔️Character Development ⚔️Elves ⚔️Demons ⚔️Witches ⚔️Slow Burn
I devoured this book! It was so uniquely interesting. The dialogue was so engaging, the insults were hilarious and the plot was so good and so unexpected. The way things ended has left me just here, hanging on, waiting for more. This book is witty, engaging, plot driven and the magic system is so cool. Loved it so much I had to buy the physical copy.
This in the end was a good read. Story is essentially three realms, one dark, one elvern and one mortal. The FMC Aria turns out to be a portalis which is essential a magic wielder with the ability to close or seal portals connecting the realms. The crux, when she awakens all pre existing portals open across the realms. The premise I think is actually really good, the execution was a little interesting at times though. The FMC started displaying unique qualities even for a portalis, I was worried it was a bit overpowered initially but actually by the end I thought the slow trickle and short bursts of power really worked well for this story. I I really ended up enjoying the magic system and the characters.
I thought the characters were well written and the interaction in the story was interesting enough to keep you engaged. It was an enemies to lovers story but I actually think it was handled super well, slow, not in your face and the enemy had a pretty cool back story.
I think the flow and pace suffered a little at times, the story jumped a bit here and there and felt a little broken but the premise was there and I thought for an indie book overall it was a good read.
This was a quick read but I really enjoyed the unique world and magic! It’s fast paced with high stakes, Monroe is easily my favourite character and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
I was kindly sent a arc of this book too read and review I absolutely loved it 5 stars this book is so entertaining its completely different too anything I've ever read before and I've read alot of fantasy it kept me gripped till the end and that ending why would you do that too me I need book too now if you like fantasy love triangle enemies too lovers magical creatures you will love this and need too read it had elves witches the works and I love the different worlds she goes too I love all the characters I can't help it but I love vylnor I'm not ment too but what can I say I love bad guys you need too read this now it's so good we'll done alice on your first book
First of all, I want to thank Alice for reaching out and providing me with an ARC of this beautiful book. Overall, I really enjoyed the story. We get multiple POV's which was a great choice as it added depth to the story and helped with the world building. I loved that I was guessing who could be trusted almost right to the very end. I did have trouble with the dialogue. It was fairly clunky and just didn't flow for me. I also wanted this book to be longer because the world is not as fleshed out as it could be. I feel like this could have been a solid four stars if we had a bit more world building and more depth to the magic system. Overall, I enjoyed this and will read the next book because I want to find out what happens next!
This was a fun, action packed YA fantasy book all squeezed into ~250 pages which is amazing. Things definitely aren’t always what they seem in this book and it keeps you hooked with the twists and turns and non stop conflict.
This book gives you: 🗿secret identity 🗿fates mates 🗿enemies to lovers 🗿elves, mages, witches 🗿portals
Synopsis: Aria is getting ready for the harvest festival, worrying about counting the wheat for the harvest, when all of a sudden her life is turned upside down. She quickly learns she is not who she thought she was and that there are more than just humans living among them - including elves, mages, witches, and nasty creatures. She is the key to keeping all the realms safe from the darkness lurking, so she must learn to hone her immense powers to save herself and the ones she loves (while constantly being captured by Vylnor, a servant of the master of the darkness).
Thank you to the author for an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
This is a debut novel by Alice and What she gave me was a 5 star fantasy with all my favorite things, witches, elves, mages, portals, realms, hidden magic and everything else I hoped for. The book begins with a simple house on the farm, where lives our Aria, with her grandfather and some trusted people, The setting was so simple that I immediately loved. But she is pushed into a world beyond her imagination as she finds out that she is a portalis, one who can control the portals to other realms. And there come our elf Eron from the elavon realm and Vylnor, Lord of Shadows from Oromos. One trying to protect Aria and the other to get a hold of her. But Aria needs no help. She is a strong willed hero, who even with her newly discovered powers and some that are yet to be discovered will do everything she can to protect all the realms. It is full of action, a strong and fast paced fantasy, and no spice which was great. The plot was great. The villain Vylnor for sure has a backstory and I am hoping he will be a good guy, well he has already showed signs. There were so many twists, I kept gasping. The fights were beautifully written, each and every character was well thought of. Loved the last sentence of the book, "Let's go piss off some elves". Hilarious. I cannot wait for the next books to come out.
What a whirlwind of a book this is!! I loved how this book came alive on the pages! I felt like I was watching a movie at times. One of the things that really drew me in was a lot of the side characters! They really helped with comedic relief and I loved her found ish family. Also the love triangle 👀, not a huge fan of them but I liked this one!!
I also enjoyed the multiple POV, I loved how I could see all sides. The three POV creates a lot of world building. And this book is slower paced and then all of a sudden BOOM it explodes.
I loved the villain in this book as well. He was different and unique! This book was also a short read too which I liked-it wasn’t overwritten to extra long, it was just right!
I definitely recommend this to fantasy readers. There is no spice so if you’re spicy girly this may not be for you, regardless I loved it.
