⊹ The idea? I’m obsessed.
⊹ Illustrations? So grateful i’m not sightless because this was such an adorable masterpiece.
Characters development wasn’t very developed because we were mostly focusing on their trauma and healing journey, but was there even a healing journey? I don’t think so. As a cute, fun graphic novel, it was amazingly done. But even though the main theme IS trauma, healing process is creative and intriguing, but not very believable or realistic—i het that you cannot exactly fit the whole paragraph of words into one bubble but this?

Summarized? Read it. Maybe you’ll like it. Maybe not. But those illustrations… you have to!!

PT Abordei este livro com alguma hesitação, já que inicialmente não estava a gostar muito. Apesar de parecer direcionado para um público mais jovem, a história revela-se surpreendentemente complexa, tornando-a igualmente adequada para leitores mais maduros.
Em essência, a trama acompanha quatro pessoas enviadas para o Heartbreak Hotel, uma entidade que existe fora do espaço e do tempo, onde enfrentam as suas desilusões amorosas. Depois de curados, podem voltar à vida real sem que ninguém perceba que estiveram ausentes.
No entanto, a história é muito mais do que esta premissa inicial sugere, servindo como base para desenvolvimentos narrativos mais profundos.
Apreciei especialmente os elementos de "Alice no País das Maravilhas" presentes na história, que lhe conferem um toque simultaneamente encantador e comovente.
No final, revelou-se uma leitura envolvente, culminando num desfecho emocional e satisfatório que gostei imenso.

Mentre scrivo sento gli occhi inumidirsi e il petto farsi un po’ più stretto. Inizialmente può sembrare un fumetto banale (lo stile di Agnese inganna) ma non lo è affatto: il colpo di scena arriva come una pugnalata inaspettata e la storia, da quella vignetta a pagina 91, prende una piega profonda e non scontata. Ho amato questo fumetto dall’inizio alla fine: mi ha tenuto incollatx sin dal principio, cosa non da poco, e mi ha fatto sorridere, piangere, arrabbiare, ricordare la persona tanto innamorata quanto illusa che anche io, anni fa, ero e che ha imparato che cosa vuol dire avere il cuore spezzato. Dei ragazzi poco più giovani di me si interfacciano in Heartbreak Hotel con situazioni, ma soprattutto, emozioni che sono tutt’altro che infantili: sono umane e sono in particolar modo vere e importanti.
Leggere Heartbreak Hotel anni fa avrebbe guarito il mio più giovane cuore di allora ma questo capolavoro parla comunque alla me di oggi. Grazie Micol e grazie Agnese.
P.S: ho preso la variant al Lucca comics e la amo, fa molto Fire Walk with Me, film che adoro e che è ormai parte di me per diversi motivi <3

Ho fatto proprio bene a fidarmi del mio istinto. L'ho comprato di getto e Heartbreak Hotel è arrivato al momento giusto. Sento che ha tanto di me e non me lo sarei aspettato mai. C'è una Laura, tanto per cominciare, e c'è un'amicizia femminile che è, invece, qualcosa di più. Ha spezzato il cuore anche a me, avendolo provato. Poi ci sono tanti riferimenti ad Alice nel paese delle meraviglie. E una biondina che ama la danza classica e la sua storia è un continuo parallelismo a Black Swan così come a Odile e Odette - oh, e non dimentichiamoci, la biondina è del segno dei pesci, fin troppo facile immedesimarsi.
Poi c'è un tipo di lutto che viene così illustrato e ci passi attraverso sentendolo tuo.
Così come i protagonisti, finisce che fa bene al cuore aver pianto con loro - e sì, non mi commuovevo da tanto leggendo semplicemente una graphic novel.

Cztery złamane serca, tajemniczy hotel i przerażająca rzeczywistość, do której nie chce się powrócić — ,,Heartbreak Hotel” opowiada o tym, jak szybko całe nasze życie może się zmienić i jak trudno poradzić sobie z tymi zmianami, ale także o tym, że trudne doświadczenia są uniwersalne i, choć w danym momencie mogą wydawać nam się końcem świata, jesteśmy w stanie sobie z nimi poradzić.
Urzekła mnie ta powieść graficzna od strony estetycznej, zanurzyłem się w jej atmosferze i zapragnąłem natychmiast poznać całą historię. Nie spodziewałem się, że mnie zaskoczy, a wiele razy to zrobiła. Mimo że nie potrzebowałem rodzaju wsparcia, jakie oferowała, bawiłem się przy niej świetnie i była to naprawdę przyjemna lektura, więc myślę, że jeśli próbujecie teraz poskładać swoje złamane (w jakikolwiek sposób) serce, tym bardziej trafi do was ta pozycja. Zaciekawiły mnie historie bohaterów i chętnie towarzyszyłbym im trochę dłużej, podomykał więcej wątków, by być w pełni usatysfakcjonowanym i ten niedosyt jest właściwie moim jedynym zastrzeżeniem. Czy mieliście kiedyś złamane serce? Czy czuliście w związku z tym tak wszechogarniający smutek, ból czy rozpacz że mieliście ochotę zniknąć? Wyobraźcie sobie, że istnieje hotel, który może zaopiekować się waszymi zranionymi duszami. Dostajecie pokój na wyłączność, w nim praktycznie wszystko czego zapragniecie. Witamy w Heartbreak Hotelu. To właśnie tam trafia, dziewczyna, której odebrano odwzajemnioną miłość, chłopiec, który udaje, dziewczyna, która nie chce dorosnąć i chłopiec, który niczego już nie chce.
„Heartbreak hotel” to komiks, który przepełniony niewyobrażalnym bólem i smutkiem, pokazuje jak sobie z tym radzić i jak przebaczać.
Nie zliczę ile razy miałam łzy w oczach czytając o losach bohaterów i ile razy chciałam wejść do książki i po prostu ich przytulić.
Oczywiście poza piękną historią mamy również cudowne ilustracje, kreska i barwy idealnie oddają klimat komiksu.
Bardzo się cieszę że mogłam objąć „Heartbreak hotel” swoim patronatem i mam nadzieję, że sami chętnie sięgniecie po ten komiks

4 osoby, 4 złamane serca, na 4 różne sposoby i jeden hotel który który ma im pomóc.💔🏩
Po pewnych sytuacjach z ich żyć nasi bohaterowie budzą się w swoich pokojach, a przynajmniej przez jakiś czas tak myślą. Tak naprawdę to pokoje Hotelu Złamanych Serc, które są odzwierciedleniem ich idealnych pokoi. W tych pokojach mogą przeżywać ten jeden, bardzo ważny dla nich moment na nowo. Mogą go przeżywać i dowolnie nim manipulować. Z pozoru idealne rozwiązanie, co? Spokojnie Hotel Heartbreak zaraz udowodni im, że tak nie powinno być. 💔
Ta historia idealnie pokazuje nam, że niezależnie, czy dzieje się u nas bardzo źle, czy też dobrze to zawsze sobie z tym poradzimy. Czasem potrzebujemy więcej czasu, ale damy radę. Dolcissima e struggente storia di come si rammenda un cuore spezzato, che lo sia per poco amore verso se stessi, verso un’altra persona o per la perdita di qualcuno o di un ideale.
I disegni sono di una dolcezza e perfezione unica, la storia si dipana facendosi strada nel tuo cuore con un calore immenso, raccontandoti della fragilità dell’amare e dell’essere amati, dell’amarsi e del lasciarsi andare al prossimo. Una chicca.

This is a book that dives into teenage self-discovery, acceptance, and the often-painful journey of coming out.
Loved the exploration of gender identity and the struggles many young LGBTQ+ teens face: the anxiety, the fear of judgment, the desperate need for support as they navigate their identities and try to find their place in the dating world. But it's so much more than that. It's a poignant reminder of how profoundly our interactions with others can shape their lives, for better or for worse. Every scenario presented felt, in its own way, utterly heartbreaking, living up to the book's evocative title.
Fiona's story in particular felt incredibly personal; there’s a vulnerability there that’s both captivating and deeply affecting.
The story was also reminiscent of a Lonely Castle in the Mirror in its exploration of complex emotions and interconnected narratives. Essentially, urging us to be present, to acknowledge both the joy and the sorrow, and to avoid getting bogged down in regret. It's a call to embrace the full spectrum of human experience.
I love the message about the people we think we've lost often find their way back to us, perhaps transformed but ultimately present, is incredibly powerful. It encourages us to embrace growth and to let go of what no longer serves us, trusting that what is meant to be will return, enhanced and ready to support us on our journey. It’s a beautiful testament to the cyclical nature of life and relationships.

Książka skupia się na przedstawieniu historii czterech osób oraz ukazaniu powodów, przez które trafili do hotelu. W tym miejscu bohaterowie mają jedno życzenie do wykorzystania – działa ono wyłącznie w hotelu i nie ma wpływu na rzeczywisty świat.

j'ai acheté ce livre hier au salon du livre, et j'ai eu la chance d'échanger avec l'autrice et l'illustratrice. "you're going to cry", elles m'ont dit, "but you will laugh, too". ce livre est rempli de douceur, parsemé de petits messages d'espoir pour tous ceux qui pourraient se reconnaître dans les obstacles rencontrés par les personnages principaux, mais aussi de moments aussi crève-coeurs qu'injustes. l'utilisation des couleurs permet de contraster la vie au heartbreak hotel avec la vie réelle, et on est vite happés par ce monde imaginaire aux tons pastels. là-bas, le temps semble mis sur pause pour permettre aux personnages de tirer les leçons que leur insuffle l'hôtel. ici, pas de grande leçon philosophique; Heartbreak Hotel, c'est une lecture agréable, qui réchauffe le cœur autant qu'elle le secoue.

les illustrations sont sublimes, avec une colorimétrie qui accompagne à merveille les émotions de chaque récit. on est plongé dans l’univers de chaque personnage avec beaucoup de douceur et de sincérité
ça faisait un moment que je n’avais pas lu de roman graphique, et Heartbreak Hotel m’a rappelé à quel point ce format peut toucher droit au cœur

J'ai adoré cette petite bande dessinée queer. Les références à Alice au Pays des Merveilles, le Heartbreak Hôtel qui est comme un no man's land et qui pousse les personnages à la réflexion, des destins qui malgré leurs différences, se réunissent. Les illustrations sont supers douces. Bref, à lire des 15 ans !

we have four different teenagers and four different rooms and four different stories. this is really about connection and healing and understanding other perspectives.
I don't want to say too much without giving things away but it is queer and a really solid graphic novel. I really liked the art style and the storyline.

Questo fumetto è così prezioso e delicato ❤️🩹 il tema principale è quello dell'affrontare il dolore, la perdita e perdonare sé stess*, cercando di andare avanti. Partendo da 4 storie di amore (queer e non) e di amicizia, Micol Arianna Beltramini e Agnese Innocente ci fanno ragionare sull'elaborazione di traumi, sulla rabbia e sulla tristezza. Il tratto e i colori di Agnese Innocente sono sempre di una bellezza unica (Agnese pls insegnami 🙏🏻) e il ritmo della storia di ti culla fino ad un climax potente. Nota a parte: necessito di quel coniglietto e di quel bruco, sono troppo carini 😭😭😭 davvero tanto tanto tanto bello!

Sto piangendo a dritto da neanche pag 20. Davvero bello, sono stata fortunata a incontrare l'autrice al Salone del Libro. Lo avrei voluto ancora un po' più lungo, ma solo perché non riuscivo a staccarmi dalla storia. Quando avrò rimesso ordine tra sentimenti e pensieri farò una recensione seria
