My entire future is dependent on the answer. If I don't find the connection, I might lose these two psycho alphas and I can't let that happen. They've ruined me for anyone else and I have to do whatever I can to get the proof I need.
Whoever you think killed him...you're wrong. And so was I. But I should have guessed. I should have seen the signs. After all, I'm the daughter of a serial killer.
5 all my questions were answered stars! Part 3 in this series definitely delivers the crazy. By now I'm used to it and have fully embraced how out there the main characters are in this omegaverse. There's a mystery to be solved, a social order to overturn, kinkery and f*ckery abound in this off beat 3 book story. The mmf relationship was different and unique and well developed. The world building was exceptional and unfolding. I look forward to what the author has planned next for this series.
I hadn't realised until this book but the main characters aesthetic was different to anything I had seen before. Think punk, emo, gothic and aggressive. I wasn't the usual only buff alpha vibes, but steel and sinew, doc martin's, dark lipstick and crop tops on men.
Lucy’s story comes to a conclusion in this book; it’s not a standalone, and yes you absolutely need to have read the first two books in this series.
Now that her mating frenzy is over, Lucy can finally focus on the murder of Liam’s brother. She will have to work fast, because both Liam and Cas are prime suspects, and she needs to clear their names. It quickly becomes apparent that there were secrets held by Gerard, that even Liam wasn’t privy to, and Lucy knows that only by uncovering these will she reveal the answers they are desperately searching for.
This story rounds out Lucy, Liam, and Cas’ romance, and we finally see a light at the end of the tunnel as far as figuring out the murderer. In fact, there are lots of questions answered in this book, including a few regarding Lucy’s own history. It’s been an enjoyable, and quite steamy read, with some steamy MM scenes too. This is for those romance readers who enjoy omegaverse tales with more than one alpha, and a side helping of mystery.
And Emma Dean #$&ing aced this omegaverse. The details, the plot, the character development, the finale, everything was *chefs kiss*
I don't write reviews, I read a lot but never review but I just had to for this.
I was so upset when I finished the second book and it just ended on a cliffhanger and it was supposed to be a duet. Luckily I only had to wait a month and the final book was released and I couldn't be more satisfied with the conclusion to Lucy's story.
Make sure to read the trigger warnings, but this was the perfect series for me and I cannot wait for Frankie's.
Not gonna lie, when I finished book two and found out there was going to be a book 3, I might have thrown a small tantrum! But it was worth the wait!! Some authors you can tell that they are getting tired and rush the ending, but that was not the case here with Emma. She did an amazing job wrapping up this story. Am I sad there wasn't an epilogue? Yes. Do I wish there were more books? Maybe a novella just to see how their new pack settled in and the relationship with her dad went. But the story really comes to a great natural stop. What an amazing series Emma, can't wait to read Frankies!
There’s a lot of OV out there, many with different plots and designation characteristics and I LOVE this series focuses on two very new designation traits! I also love that Lucy is a detective, this entire series was chock full of mystery and solving of the case she was hired for, which brought her back into the arms of a very important person from her childhood. There was so much growth with her character throughout this series, found family, acceptance, and reconnection with a family member that she thought was lost to her. So much ❤️❤️❤️ In this series! If you haven’t read it yet what are you waiting for!! Happy Reading Friends!
Emma will you marry me? You have gained a new follower! You had me from book one to the end. I’m usually not a series kinda girl because it’s not complete and it usually lacks in the story line. But you are very detailed. I loved every thing about this series! I can’t even point out a favorite. Everything was my favorite lol I look forward to reading more. I was skeptical at start you guys. But if you are considering this series, don’t be hesitant. Every curiosity, every question, all of it is answered throughout the series. There is no room for disappointment!!!
I love Lucy she is feral and loving while also being unapologetically herself!! As she and Frankie worked on this murder I just knew it would end in a bloodbath how I was right and wrong at the save time. I loved the ending and it almost made me cry 😢 😭 but now I'm so excited to see where Frankie's story is going to go. I also wonder if Lucy will have little demons for her alphas. Cabby wait to see what emma will do next in this series!!!!
I loved the story and for an omegaverse, it was very unique and kept me interested. I did not think it needed so much detail regarding their internal thoughts. It felt like it took forever for them to have any kind of conversation and I know if the author had cut down, they could’ve easily had a duet.
This series was quite delectable. I'm not going to lie, this last book was a little spice heavy for me, but it was a wonderful conclusion to the twisted tales that ran through our group. I don't know that I'll read Frankie's story, but I am sure glad to have had her along for the journey.
The murder plot to this series so so well written. I wish I could say the same for the dialogue. Especially in the 🌶️🌶️ scenes. The redundancy of some of the inner monologue felt like the author was simply trying to fill pages. However, that definitely does lot take away from the grit and gumption of our omega and how well this story wraps up.
I have read alot of omegaverse, and this trilogy was really outstanding. Touching, scary, thrilling, hot, complex, and psychotic AF. More psychological depth than most mainstream fiction as well as very original twists to the usual omegaverse tropes. Time well spent, but not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach.
What a ride. This was a beautifully crafted. I love the take on an omegaverse. So many lovable psychos. The character development was beautiful. The story didn’t feel rushed, perhaps a bit long, but thorough.
Dang!! Love, love, love!! And I get two unapologetic, psycho, devoted Alphas! And Lucy just reaffirms how important it is that being yourself is enough and never compromise or settle for less.
This series hits all my psycho kinks! I'm so happy with this third book! It wrapped up everything so good and I'm excited that this world is still expanding and I can stay in it longer
I would put 10 stars if I could. This series has been the absolute best omegaverse that I have read. I love a good murder mystery. This series delivered that plus my new favorite genre omegaverse!
3.5 stars for the finale. This installment was the best plot wise, but I really can’t stand how the fmc manipulates the mmcs. It’s supposedly for their good and all but I don’t like it. I am intrigued for Frankie’s story though.
DNF - This book was so boring. The whole series was focused on them having sex and trying to show how over the top psychotic and obsessive they were, which just became boring and repetitive. Trying to solve the murder is like 5% of this entire series, not enough to keep me engaged.
I don’t know why but this one just seemed to drag a little bit for me. I was under the impression the series was supposed to be about an omega as a private investigator looking into a murder. But it’s more about her relationships than anything else.
Wow! So many details to follow, but so when try the wait to get to the happy ever after that they deserve. Definitely a longer story, since there are 3 books, but worth it. Some great spice n see in too 😁🔥
I’ve loved this series so much!!! Great twists, and turns. I love the development of the characters and all their quirky traits that were added . I also love the connections . Can’t wait to read more books from this author.
I absolutely devoured this book! I love Lucy's snark and gives no F*** attitude! She does not back down, she never stops fighting and she has the skills to back it up. Her Alphas have their hands full - in all the right ways! Fantastic conclusion to Lucy's story!!
Why would you do that to me at the end. Such a good series, pulls you all the way through. You feel ALL the emotions. And yet I still want more from them.
