On the quest to become a mother, you’re willing to do anything and everything. You spend endless hours at doctors’ offices and online searching for answers—no sacrifice is too great.
But there’s a reason this doesn’t it’s stressful. Research shows that your state of mind impacts fertility. Still, the mind–body connection is rarely discussed.
In Fertile Ground, Spenser Brassard brings the research to life with a new, compassionate approach to conception. After an eight-year fertility journey, Spenser found that trading shame for compassion and restriction for growth strengthens the mind–body connection and can increase fertility by up to 55 percent. With a stronger connection, becoming pregnant is no longer a problem but an opportunity to reconnect with yourself before becoming a mother. Fertile Ground is your fresh start, a book you need to get your body and mind on board so that you can get your baby on board.
If a book could win an award for the number of highlights and takeaways and journal prompts… this would be it for me. I’m still processing this and will keep coming back to it but this is such an amazing read for any person who is trying to conceive and honestly anyone who isn’t because the concepts in this book are about so much more than getting pregnant.
I found this to be the most useful book I have read so far while TTC. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone. It is a change of perspective that I needed and whether it results in greater success or not, it completely changed how I am looking at this journey!
Ok I absolutely loved this book and it was such a fresh perspective about just chilling out, living in the now slowing down etc. BUT the audio was sooo cringe and so hard to listen to. Glad I stuck with it though!!
