IN A TOWN PARALYZED WITH FEAR,
IT TAKES COURAGE
TO START THE DANCING AGAIN!

Ren MacCormack is a city-bred boy with terrific energy and big dreams. When he meets Ariel Shaw, the troubled but beautiful daughter of the fire-and-brimstone Reverend, he decides to fight to free her, and the town, from the constricting bonds that tie them down. Together, they take on Bomont, Oklahoma, a town afraid of change, a town that's locked out the joy and sealed in the pain.
Bomont is a town where dancing is prohibited, music is silenced and books are burned-a town where an underlying, abiding love for life is smothered by unreasonable fear. When a handsome young man and a desperate young woman with enough spunk join forces, fear turns into energy, whispers into shouts, stumbles into dance.
A love story of courage, a test of wills, and a testament to the indomitable spirit of youth and trust, Footloose is sure to get everyone on their feet and dancing.

Ren (the main charter) moves from chicago to the midwestern. As he enters his new school he kinda struggles to fit in with everything they do over there. Ren is that kind if teenage boy that likes to dance and listen to music but where now lives they arre not aloud to listen to any kind of that music type. With the help of his new friends they try to change things up. That's all ' gonna say right now because i don't want to spoil everything else.

I really like this book. If you see the movie first and then read the book it gives a feeling of how the charter looks like. I rated this book a 4 cause i would rather see the movie.
