😅 I read it, but did I READ it? I think not. I kept thinking I was following along and then suddenly I’d be like “who the hell are you?” or “where the hell did that come from?” Maybe I grabbed the wrong translation for me? Or maybe it’s just how it was written to begin with. It flows, but it’s also choppy. And there’s nothing that breaks it up, or maybe it’s stories within stories? I think if you have a background in reading Shakespeare, you’ll have a better time with this. I’ll try again sometime down the road. In the meantime, I’m gonna try to find a good movie version to help me out.

This is a classic, and it is an important piece of literature, so I have to give it 5 stars. With that being said, if I'm being honest, I had a hard time retaining all of the information that I was absorbing. Luckily, this version that I read had a lot of helpful information at the front of the book.
