The Secret Haven Inn has opened, and the witches that plagued Brigid's existence are defeated. Whoever said running an inn would be fun, never took in supernaturals. The challenge is enough on it's own, but a new threat arises to challenge Brigid's power. After her best friend is attacked and left for dead, Brigid and company must find who the new villain is in town, and what that threat means to her power, her allies, and her inn.
If you like stories about women learning their own power, supernatural creatures and hijinks, some fun and laughs, lots of action and adventure, and a touch of romance, then you'll love Splintered Magic—which is full of griffins, dragons, fae (to many politics), unicorns (real dicks), and a snarky and powerful Splintercat.
Jilleen Dolbeare is the author of the Shadow Winged Chronicles, an urban fantasy series about a shape-shifting bush pilot in Alaska.
She loves riding horses, warm ocean beaches, and long walks in the mountains, none of which she can do in the Arctic, so she writes.
Her activities are riding her four-wheeler on cold ocean beaches (often frozen or covered with ice), and long walks to and from work when it’s 40 below—in the dark. She does keep her stakes sharp for those vamps that show up during the 67 days of night.
Jilleen lives with her husband and two hungry cats in Barrow, Alaska where she also discovered her love and admiration of the Inupiaq people and their folklore.
Brigid and her friends are happy they have finally gotten rid of the witches, but then, a new enemy shows up. To top that off she has to worry about problems with the Griffins, pain in the butt guests, and dealing with dragons, among other things. This is a very good series, I enjoyed all the characters and storylines and am looking forward to reading more from the author.
What does everyone want, really want? Someone who loves us and will be there unconditionally. Enter Mr. Mittens, no ordinary Rag Doll Cat that has Ben around since childhood. He's actually 400 pounds of predator, a Splinter Cat. This book has all the fae/paranormal sources you could want and a few with large personalities. It leaves room for more, I just hope the author keeps writing. Honestly, I could read another 20+ of this series.
I know my title was not great, but I REALLY enjoyed these books. Lets just say I am over 70, but this story would appeal to any age. It is fast pace with exciting characters . and friendships. Their are twins and turns . lets just say a great read to be enjoyed for anyone who likes adventure and fantasy. Good verse evil.
This series was so entertaining that I stayed up until 2 in the morning to read every night. I liked the characters and I enjoyed the story. At the end of the last book they gave a sample of another series and I got so caught up in it that I purchased it and continued reading. I will be following this author

I can't believe the story is over . I have gone through all the emotions that these characters have. The storytelling is good and for all of us that believe , A wonderful reprieve from the normal world !
I thoroughly enjoyed this set. It’s a roller coaster ride for sure. Good strong characters and a well developed storyline. Lots of witty banter, action scenes aplenty and while there is romance, there’s no open door scenes.
Loved the series and couldn’t wait to read the next page! So much happening. Loved it all. Will be adding the author to my favourites list and look forward to any more books written, lovely.
But WHY! ***SPOILER*** did they really have to kill Luke? Bummer on a Grandy scale seriously. It was nice to see our girl finally getting her crap together for someone who was supposed to be so strong. Satisfaction at least at the end.
I’ve loved this series so much. It brings lots of my favourites into one amazing story (across 6 books). Brigid has a difficult life but a wonderful best friend and their adventures culminate in a wonderful series.
What a fantastic read. Could not put it down. Ironing, cooking, housework all neglected, but oh boy did I enjoy these 6 books .Mr Mittens I so need a cat like you. I also want a griffin and a dragon. Loved it
