Wonderfully sweet story about best friends on the day of their graduation from high school. Ally has been a little distant from Marissa for a couple of months because her feelings for her friend are no longer that of friendship.

This is young love beautifully expressed in a really evocative way.

Endings was like an all you can eat buffet for the price of a dollar. This shortie hits all the feels, the description of feelings that Allison has towards Marissa is poetic, strong and beautiful. When I declared my feelings towards my then gf at that age, she was about to treat me lunch and immediately changed her mind after..can't blame her, I was looking directly at the 2 pieces of chicken with mashed potatoes and coleslaw instead of her. I wasn't smooth then. This storyline is quite popular but Endings deserved its own spot in the hall of fame as it was perfectly executed.

One dollar for a feel good romance, miracles do happen.
Thank you Joc and Carrie 💕

After reading a not so stellar book I needed a pick me up and what's better than to read a short story that fellow reviews loved. These ladies were right to point out how well written and sweet this story is. Definitely read this little gem if you're a hopeless romantic who loves the idea of two best friends falling for each other.

I hate to admit it but the cynical, jaded, jerk that I can be sometimes actually chuckled once or twice while reading this thinking "oh you sweet summer child". *shrugs*

Perfect short story

I loved this.

Ally is graduating and heading off to California to go to college in two months. She should be excited but she has to be honest with her best friend, Marissa, before she can move on.

This was written exceptionally well. I had all the feels through 3/4 of it.

It was emotional, sweet, and full of young passion.

The only thing wrong is that it isn't a full length novel.

Highly recommend. Too short and beautiful to pass up.

A short and sweet scene of two bff's standing on the cusp of a new beginning, going their seperate ways after summer to go to college. But what if one of them feels so much more than friendship. Does she dare to give voice to her feelings or will she lose her best friend forever if she doesn't feel the same way.

Only one way to find out.

f/f

Themes: the dunes, it's now or never, coming out, young love.

Such a sweet short story. When the love of your young life tastes like strawberry chapstick and cherry cola. I hope the author continues the story of best friends, Marissa and Ally, who fall in love just before going off to separate colleges. I’ll certainly read it.

Thanks, everyone, for bringing this one to my attention.

3 stars. Very cute little story about best friends Ally and Marissa confessing their feelings to each other and then things get pretty steamy. This was sweet and the writing was good but I didn't love it. Wish it was just a little bit longer.

A good short romance (less than 30 pages) where you can see all the basic prerequisite for a good story: a plot, an introduction, a plot twist and a closure.

really great book but way too short. I want to know what happens in the future for them. Still worth the read

I'm crying
I thought i wouldn't enjoy it that much since I was coming from a third pov book and this was first pov but i didn't mind it so much

/Spoiler maybe

I was so worried at first that Marissa wouldn't return Ally feelings and i was also concerned about both of them going to different places but it was played nicely.

THE KISS THO THE KISSSSSS i felt my face heat up with only the kiss it was so well written i could feel it . One of the best.

So short it's bitter. I wish there was more to it 😓

I read it so fast i was impressed with myself. Totally would recommend and would read again!
Thank you so much author!

goshhh
I'm having so much trouble getting to reading again but I remembered this short sweet story and I thought it would be a good idea to start.

I didn't remember how much I loved this one 😭

The yearning and lamenting is on point, the fear of missing out and screwing up makes the story so believe and beautiful.

I'm really happy

But, I found out the author "was willing to expand upon these characters if readership demands" .. 😭 didn't it work?
I would have loved to see a full story of these two, I'm so sad

Thanks and I'll probably be back next year 🫡

Wonderful!!!

More? Yes, yes, yes!!! Beautiful words, beautiful story, beautifully written. Stephanie has a way with the written word that so many writers do not. I can picture every scene so perfectly from her words. Wake up people. Read this author. And if you readers have not read "The House at the End of the Street", what are you waiting on?
