What's the only thing worse than being thrown into the middle of a multi-dimensional battle between good and evil? Not knowing you are being thrown into it. This was the first sci-fi, fantasy book I have read so I didn’t know what I was going into with this book. At first. I struggled to read it and was trying not to DNF it. But once you get to a certain chapter, things seem to take off and my godly, I loved the characters and seeing where things went and what happened. I’m hoping for a sequel since it ended in a way that I wish there was more to see what happened.

Sci-fi fantasy in all sorts of unexpected ways
3.5 starts on this book.
First off I feel this story really has fairly narrow target audience and while I enjoyed some of those aspects others were not really for me. This is going to be enjoyed most by those who are more nerdy and geeky.
There are a lot of different things going on that makes it feel in places like a clashing of fandoms. So when I was reading the prologue I was actually suer excited for what was going on but I also was very confused after having ready the character profiles because they did not feel like they all fit in where this story started.
I understand mostly what the author was trying to get to but jumping around with all these characters and they way they all come together in not very clear until much later. At times I was very confused about what I was reading and how it had anything to do with what felt like the main story.
There were points in this story I was actually not sure if I was going to finish reading it but I am glad I got to the end as it did find a way to all come together and make more sense.
If you are a fan of Dungeons and Dragons, old video games and movies I think you will absolutely love this story. If you are looking for a big fantasy adventure this is not going to be what you are looking for.

The Slithering Bite by TC Smith is a hilarious and imaginative sci-fi adventure that will leave you wondering what you just read (in the best way). Sci-Fi is not what I normally read, but I took a chance on this one after the cover and blurb caught my eye. The prologue starts with a bang and has me questioning all sorts of things and then the story of Delta begins. It does take a little bit to connect all of the dots and figure out how the prologue and Delta's story finally intersects, but once you get there, this story really packs a punch.
The best part of this book is the amazing characters that this author brings to life. They are unique and quirky, and once they join forces, the hilarity ensues. I love the creativity of the worlds they come from and the author's snarky wit when telling their backstories.
How this book unfolds is totally unexpected, so make sure you stick with it so you can revel in the payoff at the end. I cannot wait to see where the next book in this adventure takes us!

This sci-fi book was a wild ride from start to finish! I absolutely loved Delta, the main character. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen to next. If you're looking for a book with great characters and an exciting plot, you definitely need to check this one out. Highly recommend!
