“It isn’t stalking if it’s for her safety,” and other lies Theodore Grady has been telling himself for the last twenty years.
Charity Lawson does not want to be in Forest Falls. Unfortunately, it’s the only place left for her to go. In an attempt to drown her sorrows, Charity stops at Peaks Sports Bar for a drink, and who should she run into? None other than Theodore Grady. He’s still pure sunshine wrapped in a six-foot-six body, and she does not know what to do with that. Thankfully, Theo doesn’t leave the decision in her hands for long.
Theodore Grady has One True Love, and she just walked through the door of Peaks. The problem is Charity Lawson doesn’t know she’s the object of Theo’s obsession, and he doesn’t know how to tell her without risking everything he’s ever wanted.
Distraction is the name of the game, and Theo is very, very good at being distracting.
This novella is book two in the Forest Falls series. Book one is CALLUM by S. Manship.
Theo is a dark romance/Mafia romance novel. Theo didn't want to join the Mafia, but he would do anything for Charity Lawson, including joining the Mafia so she could have her freedom to leave town. After all, she is a Legacy, and Legacies never get to leave. Twenty years later, Charity is back in town after a bad breakup, and Theo is there to comfort her. Sparks begin to fly instantly, and Theo can't resist the woman he has loved since he was a teenager. But is Charity willing to put down roots?
While I am not much of a dark romance fan, I did find myself enjoying the storyline of the book. Who doesn't want a man who would do anything to make sure they are safe and happy, to please them at every turn? My biggest problem was the crude language, but if you don't mind, this book is for you! There is romance, action, adventure, laughs, and much more!
Disclaimer: While I received a free advanced reader copy of this book, the thoughts and opinions on it are my own.
What girl wouldn’t love a man who cares so much about her pleasure above all else, in all aspects of life🫠🫠 Theo is THAT MAN.
Charity picked up her life and decided to start fresh even though that wasn’t in her future plans. That’s so hard to do, with the mere fact that her brother still lives in this town as well, so of course something pulls her back. Something draws her back to home, and now we know it’s Theo🥰
Theo is down for his girl and I loved that so much!! He removed all the bad things in her life, literally💀 Anything that was causing her turmoil, he fixed or changed for her, and he was so protective even when she was hundreds of miles away.
If you want a if you want a spicy mafia romance that makes you 🥵, this this THE ONE. Thank you for this story S. Manship!🖤
Theo was definitely a fast paced dark romance/mafia novella. The spice was GOOD and I would literally die for Daddy Theo at this point! He quite literally would do absolutely anything for Charity and knowing that is so damn hot. I also loved how more of the story emerged as we kept reading. There is a little background info in the beginning of the book for readers if you haven't read the first book, Callum, which is also perfect so you aren't too confused. But I will absolutely be going back to read the first book after how much I loved this novella.
Thank you to S. Manship for sending me an ARC of this novella! I loved it and all opinions are my own!
Well I have found a new book boyfriend that will be Theodore Grady. Man where do I start he is a giant of a man that will not hesitate to kill you but has been obessed and in love with charity his whole life. This man Jesus what he did for her, what he dies for her and what he continues to do for her. A micro troupe I live for is when a love interest gives you everything without the other partner knowing. He gave me all the feelings. I loved the banter with charity. She cracked me up and so so so happy she is back in Forest Falls. What a great world Suzanna is creating.
ARC Review:- Can I say that I'm officially hooked into this series and it's only book-2?? Theo is well every fvcking thing you get. He is amazing, a true gentleman, but also stalker in some way🤐🤐.. I was hooked from chapter 1 onwards till now and obviously both Charity and theo had me hooked on their pinkies🤩🤩 I didn't expect the ending though..It was an overall and amazing read and if there's a 3rd book in this series then I can't wait to read it🤩🤩
🖤 black cat x golden retriever 🖤 some stalking 🖤 MCs are over 30 🖤 “Daddy” 🖤 Spicy 🖤 “it’s always been you”
❀ I absolutely loved this, and want moreee so clearly I should go back and read book 1 and wait for book 3 to come out!
❀ This is one to definitely check trigger warnings for! I also appreciated how all the characters are written out with their roles & there was a mini summary of book one.
❀ I am a sucker for a good dark romance or mafia romance! It had a storyline that incorporated both what Theo does and the romance with him and Charity.
❀ I love Theo! He would/will do anything for Charity. Another book boyfriend to add to my list!
❀ The spice! There was quite a few chapters with it and I was here for it.
❀ I received an e-arc of the book. All opinions are my own.
THEO is a *novella*. I expected it to be quick and dirty, and it absolutely was, Theo Grady jumped right into my top 5 book boyfriends list. That man knew all the right moves and then some.
I did not expect to get attached to the characters or feel for them the way I did though.
In just 151 pages I fell for these characters so hard that there were a few parts where my chest ached because I hurt so bad for them and there were other parts where I was laughing fondly at their antics like they were old favorite characters.
I would absolutely read hundreds more pages about these two and recommend this so much, you're denying yourself joy if you dont read THEO. And, based solely on this novella, I'd feel comfortable recommending anything S. Manship writes. I know I'm on my way to read CALLUM right now.
I don’t even know where to start with THEO. Maybe with how obsessed I am with Theodore Grady himself?
The author somehow managed to make all of the red flag characteristics desirable? I mean how is that possible?! The way Theo stalked and obsessed over Charity had me swooning. Of course, in the real world, it would be weird and creepy, and have you running in the opposite direction, but that’s the beauty of books. Books have the power to teleport us into different worlds, and I do not mind one bit being in Forest Falls with Theo.
Although I didn’t read book one of the Forest Falls novella, Callum (changing that ASAP!), the author gives you just enough information at the beginning of the book to help you get an idea of where we are and who the characters are and their roles.
I just think maybe—definitely—the list of fictional characters I’m obsessed with is getting a bit too long for any one sane individual to have. It’s for sure a problem, but I’m not sane so I’m fine with it.
This is all healthy. Totally normal. Nothing to see here.
Moving on…
Someone is going to hate me, but this novella had what I felt like I was missing in Callum. That something that makes every single book from this author so good that I reread them constantly when I’ve never really reread books for pleasure before. Very few have ever made that list—unlike the list of fictional people I’d never abandon in an online cart, but rathersmashthe “Buy Now”/instant purchase option immediately. The same thing that makes me love Nordika Night books so much.
That ability to take something that is considered rougher, darker, and quite a bit feral and unhinged, and make it… softer? I don’t know if that’s the right way to explain my inside thoughts on the outside… Maybe “devoted, not deranged”?
Yeah. That one. The story is gritty, but the absolutely rock-solid romance has shaken all of it off so there’s nothing to clean up or make anything uncomfortable. The darker parts are just like… emo glitter. Fancy, extra goodness.
It’s not stalking/creepy/obsessive, it’s just being rabidly protective—however that needs to be accomplished.
And we are L I V I N G for it.
We are also living for the ~forever perfection~ that is the mouths on the men this author writes, and the snarky, hilarious, take-no-shit women in their lives. The banter is never off and neither are the vibes. Energy is pretty fucking amazing, too.
5/5. Absolutely perfect and I am ATTACHED to these characters now. I love everything about them and can’t wait to keep diving into their world.
[**I received an ARC directly from the author. All opinions, ratings, and reviews are my own.**]
This book gave me the goosebumps…a couple times. Theo Grady is in a league of his own - the way he gives everything for Charity just to make her happy is so incredibly sweet, yet he’s FLITHY at the same time. I really enjoyed how the story unraveled through the book, you’re not given everything up front - you learn about and piece together their whole relationship as you go which I liked a lot. It’s a very quick novella, fast read. I was giggling throughout the whole thing. This man brought kinks out in me that I didn’t even know I had! 😅 The spice.. 10/10. Must read. Will always recommend. Fucking loved it!! On a side note… thank you so much to Suz for sending me the ARC to read, Theo is everything you promised and more. Get your copy April 29th!!
DADDY THEO…has my whole @$$ HEART 🥹 Easily one of my top 3 book boyfriends.
Theo & Charity’s novella was amazeballs. It’s as simple as that. I don’t make the rules 🤷🏻♀️ The plot was plotting and the spice was spicing. The writing in this novella made me feel so immersed and connected to the story, the characters, and their world! I easily got attached to Theo & Charity. And as always, the banter and sarcasm was TOP NOTCH!! The way I cackled at points throughout their story 😂
🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/ The spice—oh yes it was delivered and THEN SOME! *fans self*
Overall I cannot recommend Theo (or really any book by S Manship) enough!! READ IT! RIGHT NOW! You will not be disappointed, I promise!
Viper and Dickbag? Those are the nicknames we're going to use?!
Between the overuse of some of the worst nicknames ever and the fact that a 35-year-old woman who grew up with a father in the Mafia, went to college in Paris, has been in several sexual relationships, and yet has never used a sex toy, I just cannot. This penchant that authors have for making women so innocent that despite her previous relationships she might as well be a virgin has got to stop.
It's got me so mad that this review has just boiled down to a stream of consciousness.
Good gracious.. if there ever was a mafia love story that could make you melt… this is it. The MMC Theo is the ultimate book boyfriend.. he’s OTT for the FMC and a deliciously filthy mouth. The FMC is a total firecracker and gives the MMC a run for his money. The banter between these two is top notch and so is the spice! This book will have you on the edge of your seat one minute and then clutching your invisible pearls in the next!
I needed a cold shower after reading this forest falls novella. Theo gives off the biggest Daddy vibes and baby does he earn every bit of them! I loved how well Suzanna was able to tell a well rounded story in such a short package(unlike our mmc). Definitely read Callum first! Please give her books a read if you haven’t already. You won’t regret it!
This second book in the Forest Falls series did not disappoint! Theodore and Charity were perfect and I cannot wait to see bits and pieces of their story in the future books!
This was so much fun to read getting to know Charity and Theo. Did Marco win my heart and im obsessed with her cameo? Yes of course. I can't wait to meet more of the characters in the Forest Falls world.
The way Theo loves Charity and will quite literally do anything for her is unmatched! 🥵🔥To say I’m obsessed isn’t enough. They will forever be living rent free in my head.🖤
This book was such a good read and I loved the spice. It was hot but not so overwhelming that it drowned out the story line and the amazing character interactions. I suggest you read the first one it makes the characters just a little bit more familiar (plus it’s good)
I have not found a more perfect he falls first, will and does do anything for her ❤️ absolutely worth your time!!!! 3/5 🌶️ Theo and charity were the perfect pair of snarky and swoon!
Charity Lawson returns to Forest Falls to recover from a breakup. She is looking for a fresh start but it is hard because her brother also lives in that town. She goes to a bar for a drink and runs into a person from her past. Theodore Grady has loved Charity since they were in high school. Sparks fly between Charity and Theo. Will they be able to make a relationship work or has too much time passed?
This is the second book in Forest Falls series. This book has the tropes of stalking, mafia, daddy, and it's always been you. I didn't the read the first book in the series, but I was able to understand the story. I want to read the first one and the rest of the books in this series. I loved the character of Theo and how he was willing to do whatever was needed for Charity. This a dark romance and check your trigger warnings before you start reading.
