Terror in the Trees

Rate this book
A young boy named Steve and his family go on a camping trip up Cherryton Canyon. At a gas station Steve notices a newspaper headline stating people had been attacked up the canyon. His mom tells him there is nothing to worry about and it was probably just some college kids pulling pranks on each other. Once at the campsite unusual things begin to happen. Unbeknownst to them they are being dragged into a frightening drama that will rock the nearby college town and rural community for years.

Decent debut thriller

Terror in the Trees is Chris Olson's debut horror/thriller novel about animal attacks in a Colorado valley. The tension builds slowly to start, but rapidly intensifies when two college students go missing, then a boy is taken from his families' campsite. The book involves both animal attacks and, in an interesting twist, has human villains as well. Not bad for a debut novel, I'll be interested to see what Olsen conjures up for his follow up.

Really suspenseful book, I really enjoyed reading it.
Once you start you just can’t put it down, it’s so addictive, although it’s Chris Olsen’s first book, it was so good.
I was sucked into the world of “ Terror in the woods”
I was surprised on how well written it was, and i quite enjoyed how you could be almost transported into the world of this book.
Definitely recommend to anyone who likes a little story about Sasquatch.

Different!

This was certainly a different story than I normally read. It involves "creatures" attacking campers. A lot of the story is family togetherness, police procedure and search parties. The twist at the end is a bit wild, but all in all, not a bad story.

Definitely different

For this being the author's first book, the plot was actually really good, but I strongly recommend an editor or a diligent proofreader to help with grammar and punctuation. The story has some interesting twists, and the ending lends itself to a sequel.

too many words

It took quite a few words to describe how to change a tire and a lot of the story was very repetitive. This book would have been a good short story. Not impressed with this book or the author. The ending was very disappointing.

Kept me reading, for sure!

I liked the story from the beginning. There were slot of people in it so sometimes I got confused about who they were but figured it out lol.
