This was an outstanding book on Nebraska state and local government.

The authors explained how Nebraska's political culture led to the United States only one house non-partison state legislature.

The book explained in detail how the executive and legislative branches work together to produce the biennial state balanced budget. Statistics and trends in revenue and expenditures suggest challenges for the state in the future.

The local governments in Nebraska were explained in detail.

The 210 pages is well worth the time to read for anyone wanting to learn about Nebraska's state and local governments.
