This book hits close to home. I am a good friend of the author, Megan Shertzer. We attended Lancaster Bible College together and share the same tightly-nit friend group. I remember the weight of this tragedy even just as a part of the Lancaster County community. I never asked many direct questions or probed as it was an understandably raw time for Megan and her family.
This book is a gift. It is not only a great representation of the Amish community and their kindness to the world, but also a wonderful reflection of the undeserving and inexplicable grace that God provides.
