Tycoons Gabriele Sabino, Antonio Russo, and Wren Costa were closer than family. They had practically everything in their lives handed to them on a platter. The trio had everything they could ask for, but the one thing that eluded them. With nothing to lose, they decided to shake things up.
What would happen when the foursome connects? Would there be sparks? Or would it be another failed relationship?
This is a standalone why choose MMFM romance. It contains mature subject that may not be suitable for all readers.
Teal Rose is a why choose paranormal romance addictive that took her wild ideas from her hippocampus and placed them into her writings. My main goal is to share my vision of seeing Black females being loved, heavy on the love, in these spaces.
I’m Pro-Queer and everything I write will have a representation of the LGBTIQA+ community. Hence my tagline, “Smut for EVERYONE.”
When I’m not writing or hoarding books to read, you can find me watching movies about witches, vampires, and things that go bump in the night.
Ok so the beginning of this book is like a long erotica prologue. And Jasmine and her momma work my nerves like the entire book but Tony, Wren, and Gabe make it so worth it. While the beginning is spicy spicy, which is very enjoyable. It’s around the 34% mark that I really start to love this book. It’s funny, a little absurd, quirky, and so smexy. Watching the guys lost their minds over Jasmine is just so good. It’s that level of obsession you get in dark romances but in more of a romcom style. If you’re a why choose fan I think you’ll appreciate that Teal does good group stuff, I think the relationship development in the beginning could have been more established if there was a little less attention to the smex, since there isn’t time for it later. But she does come in with snippets that expresses how they got close in the beginning later through the guy’s recollections. All in all I very much enjoyed the book and seeing the progression of a new author is a really rewarding experience as a reader. So if you haven’t read Ruined her first book, I recommend giving it a try.
I really enjoyed this book but it took a bit to start getting into it. It’s a cute semi slow burn (relationship wise). It was really great to read about the FMc slowly become more sure of who she is and what she needs to do.
It follows our FMC Jasmine a retired rockstar, she has got some issues revolving her mother, self esteem/worth, and not being in control of her own life. After paying a fee for elusive Smex club she meet her guys Tony, Gabe and Wren. Something happens and they are reunited after six years.
The beginning of the book really focuses on some of the trauma Jasmine and her mom sustained and in turn is the reason she found the guys. Their relationship seemed a little insta-love/lust at the beginning but reading the guys pinning for her throughout the book really helps you love their relationship. Read TW as there is some physical and emotional abuse, light bdsm, and accidentally pregnancy (the pregnancy is focus on though, the kids are six when we meet them).
Wow this book was so amazing. I’m so happy that the guys got to have their happy ending and so did Jassie. Teal did such an amazing job on this that I couldn’t stop. I love how she helped them get through all the obstacles. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
I went into this book completely blind! I just thought it was the typical love chase story! Completely threw me for a loop ! It’s unfortunate how some people have to hide their true feelings and sense of self . Now in the beginning my girl was working my nerves! I wanted her to put her mama in her place a lot sooner than she did . But I felt like it was needed and she had to truly hit that breaking point to stand her ground ! I loved how the story came together! I think it would be too much for me not the way she described it and worded everything it definitely makes you curious and want to give it a go

I just loved this book. Jasmine is awesome trying to please everyone around her but herself. I love how she stands her ground as the story develops. Gabe, Tony and Wren are amazing men who loves Jasmine with everything in them. It’s wonderful to see their journey progress through out the book. This is the second book I’ve read from the author and I love it just as much as her other book. I will definitely be reading more books from Teal Rose.
I feel like the book has potential but could have used some more editing. The story line of the super rich guys and billionaire rockstar girl who go to a sex club and fall in lust/love hit some pretty fun tropes. But the spicy scenes in the first half of the book feel a bit hurried and also have her finishing every few seconds, so the timing seems off. I also feel we get a lot of unnecessary fluff paragraphs (for example, one super detailed one about the office paint color that is irrelevant to plot or current situation, or a whole paragraph about the girl choking on water that fades out) plus a few typos, spacing issues, and continuity errors throughout the book.
The second half of the book picked up and the storyline locked in better (as well as the editing). I enjoyed seeing Jasmine finally set boundaries and improve all the relationships in her life.
Interesting read, but overall not really the book for me. Fist half of the book is one to two stars, second half of the book is two to four stars.
Trigger warnings for mommy issues, self worth issues, post partum depression, mentions of alcohol abuse, mentions of suicide, verbal and physical abusive/controlling relationship (not with the MMFM group), surprise pregnancy, complicated-toxic parent relationship, cheating (not between MMFM)
Ending on a good note: LGBTQIA+ positive, strong family ties, mended relationships, boundary setting, strong relationship bonds, running theme of relationships between parent and child, fun tropes, body positivity, strong female character(s), HEA

This is a new author for me and an author I will keep following. Intense, the FMC was very weak constantly folding to be what everyone else wanted her to be. THis changes as the story moves along untiul she is exactly who she needs to be.
I loved all of the flawed characters, especially Jasmine. I wouldn't like her as a person, but I LOVED her as a character. 😂 Healing and healthy coping mechanisms aren't linear and though it was frustrating I understood it. A lot of aspects of her relationship with her mom resonated with me, but not that kind of control, thankfully. Relationships can be messy, back and forth with family.
The guys were also incredibly forgiving, though I think a lot also had to do with their sexual compatibility. All four of the MCs have high sex drives and I did certainly enjoy almost every scene. Couldn't help side eye Jasmine when she didn't close the door before opening another. 🤨
I overlooked my anti-capitalist sentiments to enjoy this book, but I did wonder why Jasmine felt the need to have even MORE money lol 😂
Overall, I enjoyed the characters. Jasmine was especially consistent with her passiveness, passive aggression when she didn't stand up for herself, and bottling up her feelings. The stints between therapy at least told me she'd be working things out for herself over the years. And now with all her partners, and therapy, the HEA truly is one of hard fought love, patience, and prosperity. 🖤🤌🏾
"Running from Love" is a contemporary why choose standalone, where the scale between plot and spice flips over a little to the spicy side. I have to admit, when I read stories I tend to prefer them more focused on plot development. Especially the scenes where people get overwhelmed by thoughts of the other person, and where the intense need arises to drop everything they're doing to get some relief, are not my cup of tea. As a result, I have to admit I started skipping certain parts of the story, because I still wanted to find out how the dynamic between Jasmine and her men would evolve.
I think a lot of your reading enjoyment with this standalone, depends on how you feel about Jasmine. She's a woman who let's herself be influenced by the people around her. While that makes her relatable (let's be honest: many people are followers by heart), it doesn't always make her likable. The men she left behind are quite forgiving, and while I'm totally okay with them finding their happily ever after, I can't imagine I would be this understanding.
So yeah, I can understand people giving this book five stars, but it just wasn't for me.
A story of a forlorn soul trying to find solace in the most unique of places. Retired singer Jasmine Grant is someone who from the outside looks like she has everything, but inside yearns for something more—something real. After a spontaneous decision to spend a night at an adult club, Jasmine meets the three men that’ll will change the course of her life forever!
The story is broken up into three stages that I thought was truly masterfully done; we get the background of Jasmine’s life and how she came to be who she is, the meeting of her and the guys, then finally the journey back together. One thing I’ve really noticed with Teal Rose’s writing is that you’re in for quite the redemption story! In the nature of avoided spoilers, all I’ll say is that you get the beautifully imperfections of the human experience and are met with how easy they are to love. There were some moments I loved, some that pulled my heart strings, and others I wanted to flip a table for. Overall, it’s a read you won’t forget!
Running From Love is a stand alone contemporary romance written by Teal Rose.
💜 famous FMC 💜 second chance love 💜 found family 💜 why choose 💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice spice
Jasmine’s life has never been boring. From the time she was young just trying to stay under the radar, her best friend, Samantha, insisted she try out for the talent show at school. Well, insisted is one way to put it, tricked her into it is another. Either way, that moment launched her into a career at a young age. But what happens when she wants to do something for herself? Something that others may judge her for, but she can’t help but want?
This was such a good book. I loved how you saw genuine struggles with the characters as they faced difficult decisions and desires. The decisions that Jasmine also felt like she needed to make happen all of the time with women thinking they were doing the right thing. I’m glad this book showed how you don’t have to put yourself and true desires on the back burner, but you really can have it all.
It took me a long time to even kind of like the FMC. She was weak, and let others control her actions and opinions. When she meets the MMCs in an anonymous club, she's still timid and shy and doesn't have much of an opinion. Her mom gaslights her into stopping the secret hookups, and she disappears for 6 years and doesn't even try to find them when she finds out she's pregnant. It takes them buying out her record label to make her face her past, but she's still letting herself be controlled by her mother and now fiancee. When she finally snapped, I was ecstatic. A backbone, at last! There was little to do with the group as a whole despite some rushed scenes and then a lot of time separated. Even the reunite wasn't screaming fireworks. It just fell flat for me. The silver lining was the descriptive spice scenes.
I liked the last half of this book, but for the first half I really just didn’t like Jasmine much. She let her mother- and everyone else- run her life. She even admitted that she lets them do it because she backs down instead of standing up for herself. She admits she prefers to run rather than sort her problems out. Those kind of characters really annoy me and make it hard to continue reading.
I’m glad I kept reading though. She does run from the three men who love and adore her, who want to spend the rest of their lives with her. Even so, I enjoyed the rest of the story.
I want to start by saying, I'm a girls girl in reality and in reality only. That being said, Jasmine didn't deserve this HEA, she for dog on sure had no character development in my opinion. She ground my gears from beginning to end. And her mom needs to get upper cutted for all her wrongdoings. I'm also not a forgiving woman and don't think she should've even been around as much after Jas retirement. Had it not been for Gabe, Wren, and Tony, this book would've been DNF 'd for irritating me.
Jasmine is a child star who grew up lacking self confidence after having much of her life directed and managed by her overbearing mother. In an attempt to reclaim her life, she takes a chance and that leads her to meeting who will be her men.
This book is emotional, the hot scenes are HAWT and the story moves quickly. This is the first time reading a book by this author but it definitely won’t be the last! I need a Tony, Gabriele and Wren in my life! Those men are HOT and perfect choices for anyone’s harem!
Running From Love is the story of Jasmine, a young, retired singer looking to satisfy her hidden desires. When she meets Tony, Gabe and Wren in a delicious lustful encounter at Club Celeste, sparks fly and feelings develop quickly. When her secret is discovered, she runs, but eventually, life brings them together, with new challenges and confusing feelings. The story started a bit slow for my taste but the second half was really good. The spice is there from the beginning but I was a bit frustrated at having a twenty something year old constantly living her life by what her mother says, and not what she wants, even when she’s an independent billionaire and a mother herself. In the second half of the book the story picks up the pace and I had a hard time putting it down. I loved the boys’ reaction to having Jasmine back in their lives, and how despite everything that happened, the could put their past behind them for love.
I really really hated the guilt trip, religious bs, and honestly why would she forgive her mother immediately? Should’ve said peace out sooner. I also think the female lead didn’t fully explain how freaking crazy her mom became about everything, like seriously she stalked her cameras, and gps on her car? And then continuously played games about Greg and tricking her into showing up to a party for her marriage. Talk about being so wrapped up in an abusive parent.
This is my first time reading a MMFM romance and I love it! It was so hot and very enlightening. I actually relished the experience of reading about Jasmine, Gabe, Tony and Wren. I found this to be an interesting and exciting read – and a great introduction to the why choose genre. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Can one night of fantasy fulfilling fun, turn into forever? Not if you're a track star.
Quick Thoughts -The hold that her momma has on her is too much. Break them chains, girl. - A great gift can come in unexpected packages -A mask can't hide all this
A little slow paced in beginning. A good read overall. I enjoyed the story.
I loved the guys in this book, but this chick had me really wanted to slap the sh-t out of her. If the cowardly lion was a person it would be HeR, she has no backbone, she a liar. I kinda felt like she didn’t deserve the guys but they loved her I guess, not even sure why.. but like I said, I really loved the guys and the sex was freaken hot so I finished it.
I really did want to like this book. However, I don't think I ever want to hear the word cock again ever in life. Its one thing to use it once or twice. But 20 times in one scene??!! Over kill. Weak willed women?? Annoying. I read the synopsis for the other book. But after reading this? I'll pass
Jasmine is a retired singer that has always done what her mother says until one night she goes to a club and runs into her boys. The chemistry is there and things get heated. This book has you hooked and reading from start to finished.
Just WOW… this story was absolutely incredible. The connection these characters have from the beginning was so strong m. They loved, lost and had to find their way back to the woman who captivated their soul.
Teal Rose story telling and intimate scenes design makes a why choose story delicious to read and emotionally gripping. The story of Jasmine, Wren, Theo, and Gabe is fantastical and believable. I definitely recommend.
Oh wow what can I say this was fantastic, the plot was written well, I wished the FMC wasn't so gullible but I know that was part of the plot.. Those men were 🔥🔥
It gave me more than I bargained for!! Very spicy things going on. Go in with an open mind!! It was a little confusing in some parts but I made it thru.
