29 year-old, Sebastian Booker, did a seven year bid in one of the toughest prisons in Texas. At the lowest point of his life, he learns who’s truly in his corner. With only his elderly mother to lean on, his so call friends disappear and his child’s mother abandons him – leaving their infant at her doorstep just one month into his sentence.
Finally released, Sebastian, gets a job as a maintenance man for a luxury townhome complex; where he meets the stunning Crimson Porter. Determined to make a better life for himself and his baby girl, he tries to stay focused and away from another man’s woman. Unfortunately, the temptation becomes too great to resist.
Crimson Porter is a third grade teacher and unhappy wife. Her husband, Casmir, has more love in the streets than the mayor and is feared just as much. However, with great power comes great sacrifice. Though Crimson has the world at her fingertips and can write a check to make the bank bounce, she has to fight for time with the man she loves.
When the townhome community hires a new maintenance man with a shady past, Crimson is intrigued by him. As a married woman, she sticks to the vows of her marriage and avoids this perfect stranger. However, when she’s betrayed by Casmir and a close acquaintance, all bets are off.
In this heart throbbing standalone of crazy first encounters and second chances, past sins turn into present burdens. Sebastian and Crimson have both committed shady acts – you’ll find yourself wondering if they deserve love, karma, or a little bit a both. When deception is overflowing like a broken faucet, the answer isn’t always a quick fix – some leaks are just beyond repair.

This book was wild and the stuff with her brother was weird. I still don’t understand why her brother set her up. Plus what happened to the side chick. So many questions with this book.
I could not put this page turner down!! I’m shocked at all the deception that Crimson encountered from her husband, brother, and that so called crooked friend of hers!! But read this banger because the plot twist is chef’s kiss!!
Dragged and dragged and dragged…just skip to the last 5 minutes of the book. All the drama unfolds. Crim was annoying because she was slow. How can you not tell that Z was suspect. Crim got way too friendly with her too fast. I don’t get why her brother was written as a villain against her when he really wasn’t messing with Cas. I thought they were in a Poly to be honest. I wasted my time on this. I skimmed after it continued to drag and still wasted time.
4.5⭐️With a title of “Creepin With The Maintenance Man” I knew going into this read that it was going to be a crazy ride. I was thoroughly entertained from the beginning to end.
I’m a sucker for characters who are down on their luck and trying to do right. That was the case with Sebastian- he spent seven years in prison and now has to find his way, on the right side of the law. He was such a likable character who was confident and oozed BDE AND he was a great father - we Stan!
Crimson was in a marriage with Casmir that was doomed from the start. If “how you get ‘em, is how you lose ‘em” needed a poster child - she was it!! Part of me felt bad for Crimson and the other part wanted her to wake up! It was so clear that Casmir had checked out of the marriage, like the signs were there.
The way Sebastian and Crimson met was really funny and quite frankly, I too would have been intrigued with the maintenance man. The flirting and chemistry was written well and what Bash lacked, financially he made up with in different ways.
With this author, I know to expect a plot twist and listen, I was not prepared!! I was literally reading with my jaw on the ground at some of the twists!! I knew something was off with Zay’Mo - anytime someone is eager to be friends and is super friendly, it is a red flag. And with Sebastian, mama always knows best! I understood why he felt like he had to resort to his former life and friends, but they really meant him no good!
Overall, I felt there was a good balance of drama and spice and there was a part that made me emotional. The prologue definitely captured my attention and I was waiting to see how it would tie into the story. I truly was glad to see Crimson fight back at the end because Casmir was the devil incarnate. I would have liked to have seen Zay’Mo get the same treatment as the others. The epilogue was sweet, Sebastian was always the “clean up man” and the “pipe layer” and he deserved an HEA! Good job on this one! ❤️
This is another one of those stories that I will say just because I didn't enjoy it doesn't mean someone else won't. (For me) it was very predictable and I just didn't understand the actions of several characters in this story. Some of my questions may give hint at the storyline. Come back and read my questions later if you want to read the story for yourself and then see what my questions are...
Why did Crimson tell Zay'Mo all her business? Was she THAT starved for friendship that she latched on to the first person she met?
Why did Crimson let some random chicks peer pressure her into drug use at her big age?
Why did Chuckie betray his sister? Why was he willing to cover up Cass' betrayals and trade Crim's life? For what? ...to drive her car and be a glorified side kick?
What was the purpose of Zay'Mo sleeping with Crimson?
What happened to Zay'Mo? Did she just disappear with no consequences to her actions?
So, there was no investigation for the fire at a building that was randomly in Crimson's name that was housing two dead bodies and was likely filled with evidence of past crimes? A burning building would not completely incinerate two bodies.
And what was with the random paranormal angel thing at the end? That definitely didn't seem like it fit with the storyline.
And Crimson was extremely selfish. She only wanted Sebastian when it was convenient for her. When she wanted someone to make her feel good about herself. She was only worried about being spoiled and wearing designer clothes, bags, and taking trips. She started out as a side piece. Did she really think her spot wasn't going to be open when she became the main squeeze?
Again, although this wasn't my cup of tea...someone else will surely enjoy it.
Star level: 4.5 stars Spice level: 🌶️ Trope: black love, cheating, strangers to lovers Trigger warnings: murder, kidnapping, drug use, death of family member Fav quotes: “I’m sorry I fucked your wife bro, you know I’m the maintenance man and I was just laying pipe,” About the book: We all knew from the title that cheating was going to be involved and this book brought the drama I needed. Crimson was in a unhappy marriage she barely seen her man and to make matters worse he was with her brother more than he was with her. She was truly dedicated to her man until she discovered the unforgivable things he was doing. When she met the new maintenance man in her building she was instantly attracted but tried to deny it since she was married. Sebastian was all about her the moment he met her. Then when he seen how Cass was treating Crimson Sebastian was ready to give her the world and held nothing back he was BDE. Cass, Chuckie, and Zay’mo were no good and I knew it from the jump and that’s your sister like how could you do her like that. I’m glad they got the happy ending and justice with Cass and Chuckie I just wish Zay’mo got her karma.
I'm pretty sure this is my first him by the author, but I promise it's not my last! The author pulls you in from the first page and takes you in so many turns throughout that you can't put it down. Bash deserved everything he got in the end. He was the man every chick wants and needs in their life. Him and Crimson got together in a messed up way, but I'm glad they did. She deserved the happiness that Bash was trying to give her. Crim had nothing but snakes around her. Her husband wasn't ish, and her brother wasn't either. I think something should've happened to ZayMo because she played in her face. I was kinda mad at Crim because why are you talking this bihh all your business when you just met her. She did a whole lot of suspicious stuff around Crim, and I just wanted her to pick up on it. Now, I have to go back and read more from this author.
From the beginning there were so many signs regarding thus relationships that Crimson ignored. They say Karma don't play and she didn't with Crimson.
The way you get, is the way you lose them. Money make some lose whatever morals they have.
I was happy that Sabastain came home with a new mindset of starting his life over and staying away from that street life, but life happened.
Being betrayed by the husband wasn't enough, because she was also betrayed by her brother and so-called friend. Two out of three got dealt with. I hated Z-Mo didn't get her Karma.
This had me on the edge of my sit because I literally wasn’t sure how this would play out. O’Sharra definitely delivered big time.
Cass, Chuckie and Zay Mo are the true definition of keep your friends close and anemones closer. Like wow, no loyalty at all
Crimson was the devoted to Cass until she wasn’t.
Imagine needing a maintenance man named Sebastian and you get a handsome man who serves all of the BDE. What do you do??? Baby he delivered it all on a platter, he stood on business and wasn’t about to play with anyone.
🔧🚪 When you open ‘Creepin’ with the Maintenance Man,’ brace yourself this book doesn’t just creep, it leaps! I dove into this juicy tale and found myself on a thrill ride of emotions, plot twists, and oh-so-delicious drama. Fast-paced? More like hyper-speed. The connection between the characters had me more tangled than earphones in a pocket! Imagine my shock when the plot threw a curveball about her brother jaw meet floor! I had to keep flipping the pages like a madperson to see how Sebastian’s and Crimson’s tangled web would unravel. And unravel it did, into a masterpiece of chaos and romance that kept me hooked till the wee hours. Author O’Sharra, you’ve done it again! From a not-so-simple maintenance man to a teacher with a heart yearning for more than what her high-roller husband could offer this book packs a punch that’ll leave you reeling and cheering at the same time. This is my second read from O’Sharra, and she hasn’t just met my expectations; she’s bulldozed them with a wrecking ball of literary flair. In a plot where deception flows more freely than water from a busted pipe, and past sins are as heavy as lead, Sebastian and Crimson navigate their messy, fated map. It’s a whirlwind of first encounters, seedy pasts, and the desperate clutch at a second chance. Will they find love, face karma, or maybe a mix of both? One thing’s for sure: in the world of luxury townhomes and love triangles, some leaks are too big to fix, and O’Sharra handles them with the finesse of a seasoned plumber. 🌪️💔 #MustRead #PageTurner #LiteraryMaintenance
That maintenance man could have had me when my ass hit the floor naked😂 I knew that girl Zo was with Cass and not Chuckie. Honey when Bash mommy was in his car as an Angel touched my heart. Crimson should have suspected something long before she did. I'm happy she Bash survived so the could be there for baby girl.
The betrayal of not only Crimson’s husband but her blood brother is crazy ! ! ! Did Chuckie secretly envy his sister ? ? ? I knew Zay’Mo was the mistress once she photobombed Crimson picture ! ! ! Bash momma’s passing was heartbreaking but for her to still guide him was endearing ! ! ! Cass and Chuckie arrogance caused them to meet their fate ! ! !
I think the plot was a good idea but it turned to be too much honestly. I already knew Z was a snake and I didn’t like how they made her brother out to be. I thought he would come to his senses for her but they just made him to be a weirdo. I mean I’m thankful Sebby, Bash, and Crim got their happy ending but it could’ve been written out better
This was a good read overall although I don’t know how the girl crimson could not peep the gameher husband and homegirl was running on her. She had absolutely no common sense.
And Even Bash was playing a little naïve how did he think they were going to just let him go like that??
Definitely a page turner you are going to want to see what happens next.

Sebastian is the man every woman needs. He's a good listener, romantic, & he runs the bedroom. Crimson did not deserve the way that Cass treated her. Her brother wasn't worthy a nickel smh how could you betray your big sis. I knew Zay'Mo couldn't be trusted. She had a sneaky way of speaking & asking questions.
This was an ok story. I didn’t really like the views of cheating that were described in this story. The FMC was kinda annoying, but she grew on me a little while I continued reading, but she tested my patience at times. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow. This book wasn’t for me, but I think others should give it a chance.
Picked up with a friend at an indie book fair. Read in one sitting as the story was insanely wild and I had to see where it was going. Ultimately, it left me with several questions, the main one being how could crimson be that naive? There were several parts of the story that were hilarious but the plot holes & rushed ending just made it fall flat for me.
This is definitely a page turner and worth reading I figured something was up with the devil's children Cass, Chuckie and Zaymo. Bash is the ultimate man and he and Crimson both deserve their happily ever after.
I wouldn’t mind it being a bit longer I still felt like I there was missing information. I wish she would’ve elaborated more on the affair and their lives afterwards
Excellent story. Great writing and characters. Bash and Crimson both got a second chance at life and love. The daughter knew she found a person to be a good mother to her.
Wow! Another amazing book. Casimir was ruthless and I had a feeling Zay'Mo wasn't who she claimed to be. It was sad that her own brother turned his back on Crimson. I felt bad for Bash and Sebby when momma passed but I'm so glad that Crimson was there for them. Good read.
I clutched my pearls since page 1! This was a wild ride! But I still wanted to know what happened to Zay'Mo?! And thank God Crim was pretty and book smart because Ms. Girl had some dumb moments! And we just love the Bookers.
Is it me, or was Crisom naive? I mean, you just met this chic, and now you trust her. All the signs were there...smh.. Casmir and Chuckie were sick. Why would Chuckie not care about his sister? Anyway, this was a decent read.
Too many confusing decisions, too many dumb characters and it left you with too many questions. I started to DNF but ended up just skimming through to the end. To top it all off… they never got Zay’mo back for what she did! 🙄
This book was so good I didn’t put it down. Funny how one maintenance request can turn your whole life around. So many surprises with these characters. But I would recommend anyone to read this book
This is the first book that I've read from O'Sharra, and baby, when I tell you my mouth hit the floor so many times, it's still there. What a wild and crazy ride this was. It was so good...
