About the author

عبد العزيز بن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن عبد الله آل باز، قاض وفقيه سعودي. شغل منصب مفتي عام المملكة العربية السعودية منذ عام 1992 حتى وفاته. كان بصيرًا ثم أصابه مرض في عينيه عام 1927 وضعف بصره ثم فقده عام 1931. ولد في الرياض لأسرة يغلب على بعضها العناية بالزراعة، وعلى بعضها الآخر العمل في التجارة، وعلى كثير من فضلائها طلب العلم. ومن أعيان هذه الأسرة الشيخ عبدالمحسن بن أحمد آل باز، الذي تولى القضاء بالحلوة "الحوطة" والإرشاد في الهجرة الأرطاوية في قبيلة مطير. ومنهم كذلك الشيخ المبارك بن عبدالمحسن، تولى القضاء في بلدان كثيرة من المملكة ومنها الطائف وبيشة وحريملة والحلوة.

Alhamdu li Allāh, this was a really good review of the basics on Pillars of Islam and the Pillars of Faith. While not diving too deeply into Aqeedah, it is good for the new revert and for someone who is trying to turn back to Allāh (ﷻ). This book definitely helped me to learn how to phrase certain ideas more clearly and gave a general foundation for what to teach first. I also benefited greatly, Alhamdu li Allāh, from the review of fiqhi matters, such as manner of making wudhu, finger placement in Tashahhud, and the way to wash the body after passing. There is so much benefit in this book for those interested in relearning the basics or having a quick overview. I would have preferred deeper dives into Aqeedah, but I understand that such is not the point of the book. May Allāh (ﷻ) bless the Honorable Shaykh Bin Baz immensely and reward him with Jannatul Firdaws, Ameen.

Important and timeless reminders from Sheikh bin Baz (may Allah preserve him). The Sheikh has outlined important tafseer verses of the Quran, including lessons in tawheed, aqeedah and even fiqh in this book into one concise reference.
