Apple Picking is a wonder non-fiction children's book with wonderful pictures and it tells about picking apples, how they are grown, different kinds of apples and what we can make from apples. It is a wonderful book to read on apple tasting day that I often do with the preschool class by visiting the local market and getting as many kinds of apples as I can find and giving each child a slice to taste. They then pick favorites and ones they don't like and we chart their choices to extend the science lesson.
