I swore to tear up the evil experimental a chosen human and a drugged wolf...
Amelia My life has changed since I was kidnapped by FRIS, where I met my fated mate. I was forced to reject and betray him, losing my baby forever. Eight years... Endless experiments that turned me into an inhuman killing monster... Until my mate opened my shackles. I re-found my heartbeat.
Julius My life was meaningless until she gave me a Julius. Her love was a miracle that reshaped 006 into a man, with sense, love, and dreams. We escaped from the lab together, but at the last minute, her knife pierced my body with the cruelest rejection. Enlightening me to the final aspect of being a heartbroken. ... Eight years later, I survived outside perfectly... Until she reappeared... As the auction item of the lab!
This book is all over the place, and not in a good way. Literally the day after rescuing her from 8 years of captvity and torture, she is taken into some sort of competition because of her abilites from 8 years ago? I"m happy she's functioning, but dude... give her time to recover. And it is just a competition, so just bow out.
OK, I had to toss this into my DNF pile at 57%. It just felt like the author was all over the place and didn't know which direction she wants to go. Starting in the lab where they are held, it wasn't bad and had potential, but instead of expanding on that, she kept it very shallow and then moved on. They sare supposed mates, which I don't feel anything between them at all. This is where more info would have helped. Suddenly, we are 8 years later, and they are supposed to be in love, even though, yet again, I don't get any emotion between them at all, and there hasn't really been anything that I could see that would spark these emotions.
We get to this point and only now find out that there are ghosts, demons, banshees, and all sorts of other paranormal beings, which wasn't even mentioned until it becomes part of the plot. Like, it comes out of nowhere. I got to the part with a demon, and I just had to stop. I don't care about any characters, and that includes the main characters. By this point, I should at least not want them to die. I'm abandoning the series, too. I just can't bring myself to read the last one.
This is a very different type of werewolf rejection and betrayal book. It involves a scientific project…. a very cruel scheme where endless experiments are performed on their captives to reshape them into abnormalities… such as killing machines.
An organization called FRIS cares little about right and wrong. They use torture, human trafficking, breeding programs, electrical shock… you name it they will use it if it accomplishes their agenda. They must be stopped, but how? Ahhh, never underestimate a ‘wolf’ with a purpose. Let’s just say FRIS isn’t the only one who knows how to scheme.
You’ll read about kidnapping, heartbreak, cruelty to human’s, wolves, and other supernaturals… but also second chances. Could you forgive your mate if she stabbed you viciously with a knife , the very one you ‘unshackled’? Let’s just say love doesn’t die easily, even if it’s years later.

Julius is a wolf shifter and has been in captivity all of his life. He is part of illegal experiments carried out on shifters by FRIS. Amelia is a human and is abducted off the streets and taken to the same facility and placed in an observation cell with Julius. Amelia is then subjected to injections and tests. Julius helps Amelia and they become close. But something happens which pulls them apart but 8 years down the line their paths cross again.
Can Julius trust Amelia after what she did? Can Amelia adjust to the outside world after all she has been through in captivity. Can they ever be free of their past?
A great read. Both have so much emotional and physical trauma to deal with at the hands of FRIS and they channel that to make sure that they can hurt FRIS and save others still be held captive.
An action packed shifter / supernatural romance; full of drama, action, captivity, escape and love.
Amelia and Julius meet when they are put together in the FRIS labatories. Julius has been there since he was a pup and Amilia was kidnapped to be paired with him. Though he's not wanted to interact with other females who have been put with him he feels protective of Amelia and when the full moon comes, he realises she's his mate.
But, as well as being experimented on, they are both trained to fight and Amelia turns on Julius in a hope of escape. After escaping the facility himself, he makes a new life, until he finds her again and they start to work together to bring down FRIS with others.

Lab Experiment Love. Kidnapped young females. Supernatural. Humans playing god by experimenting when they shouldn’t and those creatures rebelling and causing mayhem. Only one kidnapped female finds love with a lab grown wolf shifter but their story split as they embark on different adventures only fate determines they reunite to battle the evil caused by a morally-questionable organization. Story of strange, disturbing and vengeance while one couple (Amelia Bush & Julius Bush) finds love through trauma, torture and unethical morals. A remarkable story that leaves an impression.

This book is kind of sad at first, with the two main characters trying to survive in a facility that experiments on them and tortures them.
When Julius and Amelia reunite, I thought Amelia’s recovery was a bit too abrupt. I felt like the book would have had more emotional bang if the story had lingered on that.
Likewise, the ending after they meet Ethan doesn’t really give us much detail about his background or recovery. I think it would have been better if we’d gotten a bit more story there.
Julius has never known freedom. He's basically been a lab rat all of his life. All because she's a shifter. Amelia is a human that gets abducted and placed with Julius. She's also experimented on. There's some proceed betrayal. All in all this is a good read.

I loved this story. It was one of the better werewolf books I've read in a while. I hated the fact that Amelia didn't have anyone looking for her. I thought she and Julius were the perfect match. I enjoyed the camaraderie between the shifters and the differences. Great work, Jasmine Fox.
Julius and Amelia's story. An action packed shifter romance full of drama, action, captivity, escape and love. There are some very interesting twists and turns that keep the reader glued. This book is well written and engaging. A remarkable story that leaves an impression.
I read a lot of Shifter fantasy and this was all over the place. Way too many majestic creatures thrown in with no real development. I would’ve preferred the main storyline only.
This book suffers from “everyone in it being perfectly aware of their inner motivations and feelings and also is able to communicate them perfectly to the people around them” disease. It’s boring and unrealistic. Like, people don’t talk like this irl! People say things and react to things and a lot of times don’t even know why they feel how they feel, or why they reacted badly. At least not until later. And feelings are complicated!
I feel like every writer should be given a challenge to write an entire scene where no one is allowed to say what they really mean. Like if you’re mad at someone, you don’t usually say “I’m mad at you.” You shrug a comforting hand off your shoulder, you turn away when they walk in a room. When you feel overwhelmed you don’t always say “I feel overwhelmed” like our protagonist basically does. You might lash out, or start crying, or dissociating, or all of the above! Guilt can be expressed as poorly directed anger! Shame as avoidance and shutting down! God just give me something interesting!
