Who was this willful, fair-haired female who dared to defy Sheikh Karim El Hareembi? The widowed father had expected a male tutor to arrive at Shalima Palace—not a beguiling beauty who was only too happy to give him a piece of her mind! A one-month trial period with his fearsome foursome was all he'd give the tempting teacher....
Lindsay won over her mischievous pupils, and a permanent position was hers. But she wondered if she'd ever accomplish as much with their handsome father. With each passing night, Lindsay longed to learn the lessons of love that only Karim could teach her, but the proud sheikh kept his heart hidden away. Could Lindsay ever hope to break through his barriers and unite them forever?

This book is an interracial book (Arabian man/White woman). The heroine is 24 years old. The book doesn't state how old the hero is, but the hero - Lindsay figures him to be in his forties. Sheikh Karim El Hareembi is a widower, with 3 children(2 boys and a girl: He has a set of twins: boy/girl) and a nephew, who is basically, being raised as his child too.
The Sheikh's wife died a horrible death and he blames himself for it, because they had an arguement and she left on her horse and the next thing the Sheikh knew, he was getting the news that she was dead.
What I like about this story is that, although the Sheikh is a busy man, he makes time for his children. We get to see him interact with his children. That's something we don't see much in a lot of books, where there are children involved. I think that if children are mentioned in the story, we should see family time as well.
If you are a sheikh fan, then you'll probably like this book. IMHO, this book could have had more "Lights" in it.
I don't want to spoil anything, all I am going to say is, this book is sweet. By the time, you finish this book, you will know what I've meant by sweet.
Despite the 10 year difference in age and the East meets West romance theme, the hero and heroine treat each other as equals and circumvent the typical pitfalls these themes usually present. This is even more surprising given the book was published 21 years ago.
