This sturdy, colorful board book introduces youngsters to patterns through six different ones, including flowers, ducks, and fish in an accessible way. A large version of the object is found on the left-hand page, and then youngsters need to find that same object within an array of other, similar ones on the facing page. Clearly, one of those objects is the odd one out, giving youngsters a chance to distinguish patterns through shape, size, color, and direction. This is yet another important early literacy skill that can be honed through similar activities. This is one of four books in the series.
