Basics before Buzz

Of course you're busy!

As a Manager or a Business Owner or an Entrepreneur, you may say you have enough problems at the moment making ends meet without investing valuable time and money in a book. The question is can you afford not to read it?

Maybe you won't be impressed by the amount of recent research and the in-depth studies I have collected to support the information between these pages? Maybe you don't care that Great Places to Work Ireland interviewed over 30,000 employees and have shared the insights gleaned from that body of work with me?
Maybe you don't think you've anything to learn?

But get this:
The 'Boss' no longer exists
The 'Job' no longer exists
'Business as usual' no longer exists

Every business is fundamentally about people - your customers, your employees and you. This book explores those three key areas and tells you how best to maximise the potential of each.
The first section will reveal how predictable your customers are and how you can use this knowledge to deliver an exceptional service. Exceptional service is a necessary pre-requisite for customer retention in the current environment.
The next section deals with your employees – your internal customers – and shows you how to unleash their natural creativity, keep them motivated in uncertain times and help them reach their full potential.
And the third section is about where it all begins, with you.
Of course, whatever applies to your customers equally applies to your employees and to you; so the insights you glean from each section can be used in every interaction.
Stanford Business School Advisory Board, reports that self-awareness has been recognised as the most important capability for leaders to develop.
Until you know yourself, and what motivates and inspires you, you cannot motivate or inspire anybody else.
And let's face it, if you're not motivating and inspiring your staff, how can you expect them to motivate or inspire your customers to buy your product or service?
And if your staff is not enticing your customers to buy your product or service again and again, you don't have a business!
So, forget all the buzz and hype you've ever heard about what makes business work well, and get right back to basics!
