There's No Place Like Home is a light, easy read that takes place in the fictional community of Fawn Creek, Kansas. Think cozy Hallmark vibes, lots of banter, closed door romance and everything there is to enjoy about a small town. When Tyler Burris turned eighteen and left her hometown of Fawn Creek, Kansas, she insisted she would never be back for anything more than a short visit; and for ten years, she held true to that promise.
That is until her long-term boyfriend drops a bomb on their relationship, leaving her blindsided, as well as homeless. With no other choice, Tyler returns home to Fawn Creek with one goal in to get her life back in order and to get back to the city as quickly as possible. Thanks to a pet snake, a displaced rooster, gossipy townsfolk and a run in with a grumpy neighbor, it seems that she would have no problem getting back out of town without looking back. That is, until she finds out that the grumpy neighbor isn’t so bad after all… or is he?
There’s No Place Like Home is a story about realizing your dreams, learning to not settle for less than you deserve, and a reminder that it’s never too late to go back home.
I'm so proud of Michelle for making her dream come true! Her debut novel, There's No Place Like Home was AMAZING! I grew up on Hallmark movies so this small town romance brought me back to my roots. It was fun, sweet, and entertaining. I adored the relationship between Tyler and Andrew. I attended high school in a small town and can say Ross captured the feeling of a quaint small town perfectly! I can't wait for book two and it better be about her best friend, Avery.
This book was very a cute comfort read. The storyline drew me in, and it was very easy to read. There were parts that I felt could’ve been worked out a bit more, but it was still a decent book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Home Sweet Home 🏡📚🤍🐓 My friend wrote a book!! And it’s genuinely so good!! Congratulations, Michelle! 🤍 It was so fun to read a book inspired by the town we grew up in, and a great book at that! Tyler + Andrew Tyler had dreams to get out and stay out of the small town she grew up in. When life throws her an unexpected curve ball she’s back and quickly meeting the new town asshole, and assuring everyone (including herself) the move is only temporary. But sometimes you don’t realize what you’ve been missing out on until it’s right in front of you. Can’t wait for the next book in this series! Check this one out on Kindle Unlimited now! Or paperback (which I’ll definitely be ordering!) available 4/24!
Steaminess rating - 💋 (1 out of 5 - closed door romance)
Ross’ debut novel doesn’t feel like a debut. She captures the small town feel of Southeast Kansas perfectly, down to the quirky chili and cinnamon roll delicacy known only by true locals (you weirdos 😉).
Ross builds an idilic Kansas backdrop for her rom-com complete with a quirky rooster and small town festival (which is based on a real Mayfest weekend).
I really enjoyed the sweet relationship between Tyler (a small town girl determined to leave) and her hunky, tool-belt wearing neighbor Andrew.
I can’t wait for the next in Ross’ Fawn Creek series. I hope it’s Avery and hot cop Derek! 😍
I loved book. It was so sweet and I think all us women secretly dream of finding our very own Andrew, AKA Prince Charming. Being raised in a small town the authors hit the nail on the head with how small towns work and how close knit the community really is. So happy I added this to my little library
This book had everything I love! Relatable characters, humor and a happy ending. I have read so many romance books over the years and I did not miss the bedroom scenes at all. It flowed so well it was hard to put down and did not read like a first time author. Can't wait for more of this series!
This book is a feel good romcom that will lighten you day. It is everything that makes me binge watch Hallmark movies... small town, flannel shirts, etc... Definitely worth the read.
Light read perfect for my beach vacation. It felt like a Hallmark movie in the sense that the book felt emotionally safe even when there were downs. This is the book I choose for relaxing, for cozy coffee reads, and will absolutely be buying book 2
This book was so warm and cozy. A great story filled with lots of fun hometown references! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick, lighthearted read.
Super cute small town closed door romance! It gives Hallmark movie vibes in a setting that's relatable. A very easy read that I enjoyed enough to buy the second book the day it released.
