In the past, many sādhanas were needed to purify the human mind, body and intense study of the Vedas, extreme austerities, and long periods of meditative absorption. On 8 April, 2020, an extraordinary event took place. On this day, Paramahamsa Vishwananda received the mantra, śrī viṭṭhala giridhāri parabrahmaṇe namaḥ, as it was revealed by Bhagavān Himself. This mantra has now become the mūla-mantra, the main mantra, of the Hari Bhakta Sampradāya.
