Johnathan Murray is Senior Lecturer in Film and Visual Culture at Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh. He is the author of The New Scottish Cinema (2015) and Discomfort and Joy: The Cinema of Bill Forsyth (2011), co-editor of several scholarly anthologies, including (with Nea Ehrlich) Drawn from Life: Issues and Themes in Animated Documentary Cinema (2019), a Contributing Writer on the permanent staff of Cineaste magazine and co-Principal Editor of Journal of British Cinema and Television.
