Decent introduction to investing in real estate in Canada. Provides a systematic approach to investing that attempts to remove the emotions and help investors make decisions on facts and due diligence. Overall a good read, but it didn't hit some key topics I was specifically looking for.

This is a wonderful book to get anyone started in the real estate investing world. It shows you the specific steps to take from day one. Don has done all the hard work and put it on paper to pass on. His method works and you feel like it is worth 4 years of university education after you've read it! It made me feel like I could change my course in life and move to real estate investing and I did!

One of the only well-known and detailed resources available for the Canadian real estate investor. The checklists provided are very useful, and good reasons are given for why each step must be followed carefully. It could have easily done without the cheesy, artificial narrative, which would have cut the book's length in half and delivered the important information in a more streamlined fashion.

Sad to see a book filled up with words that it could have been just with more white space or bigger characters. This could have been ten pages, the remaining is like a story that could be a completely different book.

Deserves to be read.
The read is easy and smooth via the story of richard and emma that face so many of the hurdles that the typical canadian household faces.

Read estate investing in Canada is very simple. You don't need to read an 8-hour book on it. Plus, there's many great 10-min videos on it on Youtube which are more up-to-date. Especially with the rise of airbnb. On top of that, the "Acre System" is just marketing gimmick.
