Sensory Circuits: A Sensory Motor Skills Programme for Children by Jane Horwood

Rate this book
Participation in a short sensory motor circuit prepares children to engage effectively with the day ahead. Behavioural clues such as fidgeting, poor concentration, excessive physical contact or overall lethargy can indicate that a child is finding it difficult to connect with the learning process. "Sensory Circuits" are a great way to energise or settle children into the school day.

If you work in a school with children with sensory difficulties, this is the book for you. Easy to follow and set up physical activities to energise or settle children into a day of learning. Although the activities are for small groups with adult support, most could be adapted for P.E. lessons.

Useful for working with students with range of sensory needs and difficulties. Good supportive tool and strategies alongside direct OT input.
