Before Chloe was an adult and met her BFF Amber, she was a typical thirteen year old girl except one small thing. She was a powerful witch with visions. Chloe is taken by a stranger who wants answers to the prophecy, yet her visions are protected by a force.

Like Marcus, Chloe has a bigger part in the Queen's prophecy than what we get to read about in the first two books of the blood prophecy. In this one we get to learn that each race has their own part of the prophecy and whether they want to believe what the other's races part is or not, it's still bound to come to fruition.
Chloe may eventually become one of the strongest witches in the world and her coven. But before she came into all her powers, she was a just a young teenage witch trying to embrace each new power that keeps coming to her.
This novella gives a lot of history of Chloe and how she came into her powers. It helps us to understand her part in the prophecy and how she is intertwined with the other characters. Each group is important but the witches seem to hold the most power. Each race holds part of the prophecy and they are slowly coming together.
This book like Marcus's provides us with more information on chloe and her role in the prophecy. This book also explained more of the role each race plays in the prophecy. Although this isnt the first book in the series it is the first one I read and is the reason why I read all the other ones.
Astounding!!! I have never read a book that has kept my attention, reading without rest. Just when you think you can compare this story to another, in an instant you will be deemed wrong. Barb Jones takes this vampire/ witch story to knew heights. It begins with a story of a young girl trying to figure out her life while constantly being bullied. Like most kids, they try to endure it on their own and keep going. She is brave, but hurting at the same time. It is known from the beginning that Chloe is a witch and gaining new powers as time goes on. She gains the power of sight and yes the story keeps getting better. Her mother’s other half tends to love her as his own daughter and protects her as much as he can. His love for her mother is what he most desires, will they all become a family, well in this novella you really don’t know, but it’s fun to be patient to see. There were a few things that stood out to me, like misspelled words, and a few sentences that had to be re-read to understand. I also did think in some parts could have been expanded on a bit. I know it’s a short story, but don’t hand me a plate with no cake. I love this story and can’t wait to see more from this author. I give “Chloe” a 5 out 5 stars. I absolutely adored this and will recommend to others.
It was short and showed a rushed overview of what happened to Chloe. It never mentioned her age in this that I recall but she sounded very young. I personally couldn't connect with the story or characters as it felt rushed and lacked depth. I'd definitely recommend reading the other books in the series before picking this one up as it enhances the series as a whole and gives some background on Chloe's beginning so to speak.
