A great guide on running. Perfect for beginners (like me) and great tips on how to move from a novice to a 5K runner, to a 10K runner and maybe beyond. The author has spent 25 years running and uses all those years of experience to distill what works, and what doesn’t
Not an on the edge of your seat thriller in any way, but it keeps what it promises: to be an informative and at times entertaining book full of great running tips. Just what I was looking for.
Wow what a fantastic and motivational book. Marie Bean explains everything in a really easy to read way that makes sense, irrespective of where you are in your running journey.
I bought myself a heart rate monitor during the reading of this book, and Marie's book helped me to understand all the data collected by this minute little tool. I am so proud that because of a lot of the tips in this book, I not only increased my pace, my enjoyment, my Vo2 max but my knowledge of running.
I most enjoyed that you even found a marathon in Las Vegas where you can get a "run through" marriage......what a cracker.
I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone thinking of starting out your running journey, or part way through your running journey.....I can guarantee you will learn at least a couple of new things.
