An angel’s fall was only half of the story… After witnessing a green meteor plummet into Toccova Mountain during a snowstorm, The Devereaux sisters become irrevocably entangled in Tourmaline's secret paranormal underworld. The phosphorescent crash acts as a catalyst, setting off both new and familiar chains of events. A demon imprisoned for centuries is set loose. An otherworldly being, found without his memories, remembers only that he must hide—but not from whom. The loss of a close friend reveals there is more beyond the veil. All the while, an unseen force is waiting to emerge from the shadows. Return to the beginning with the Devereaux sisters, where passions are immortal but devotion can be hopeless.

Anyways- the soap opera continues, focusing on the Devereaux sisters. The title is super reflective of the relationships we see blooming here, and I thought that was pretty clever.
I enjoyed this installment a lot. there was a lot going on and multiple POV's, but it was still easy to follow and thoroughly entertaining. Maybe next time I'll try doing the tandem read!
Nomi Palmer has written a story that is a definite, engaging of storytelling. Soap opera , like no other, centuries timeline ,three spectacular Devereaux sisters ,Holly , Silver , and December. Lots of love and hate , for characters, alongside mayhem.! Another definite page turner.
“I saw something fall from the sky.” “Did you make a wish.?” “No” December said with a little laugh .”Should I ?”
Hopeless Devotion is the third book and another great instalment in the Passions series. It's a spicy paranormal romance and is my new favorite of the series. The story is told in multi pov and follows the three Devereaux sisters, Holly, December, and Silver as well as their men. The Devereaux sisters each have their distinctive traits. I still don't know which one I like most. I luv them all for different reasons. Additionally, their men are great matches and keep things interesting. This series is such a fun time with several great themes and elements.
It features a variety of magical creatures including ghosts, demons, witches, vampires, and aliens. It has drama, angst, spice, gothic vibes, and great world building. This book provides some great history and insight into the world and certain characters. The writing just draws you in and holds you captive! I'm manifesting the audiobooks for this series because omg this will be a whole production!
If you haven't read this series yet, make sure to start at the beginning and come deep dive into this chaotic world of darkness.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♾️
First off, thank you so much Nomi, for trusting me to Alpha, BETA, and ARC read again for you!!
I was so excited to head back to Tourmaline for the 3rd book in the Passions Series. Full transparency, this is not my normal genre for reading, nor am I a huge fan of longer books with a lot of characters. However, Nomi Palmer changed that for me BIG time! 'Hopeless Devotion' is my favorite book in the Passions Series and a 2025 6 star read!!
Without spoilers....
This book is full of magic, drama, love, SPICE and pure chaos and I was here for every second! Characters I absolutely hated, Nomi somehow redeemed in my eyes. Characters coupled together, I was unsure of but Nomi seemed to make it absolutely work. I will forever ship Silver & Cade.
The Devereaux sisters, December, Silver, and Holly are all so different but all equally loveable. I promise you will immediately fall for Adam as well. The way Nomi is able to write descriptively without it being overly descriptive and create these multiple universes so creatively is truly beyond me!
I personally would LOVE seeing this series turned into a Netflix MULTIPLE season show.
Hopeless Devotion (The Passions Series #3) Author: Nomi Palmer Published: 2025 Spice: 🌶️🌶️ Genre: Paranormal Soap Opera Multiple POV - Multiple Couples Summary: Gods, Demons, ghosts, a mystery man, lost memories, Lost Love, New Love, Confusing Love….all the love.
Thank you Nomi Palmer for a copy of this book to read in prepping for Endless Desire
This is a paranormal soap opera…if you’ve never seen a soap opera there are multiple story lines, lots of characters and lots of drama. This newest book in the series takes a sharp turn into sci-fantasy.
This story runs parallel to the events of Immortal Passions…the Deveraux Sisters will bring you some mild frustrations..a la' "What are you doing?" but stick around…it just may all work out
The spice factor in book 3 was amped up with as was the angst.
✨Welcome back to Tourmaline! Hopeless Devotion is the third installment in the Passions series, a paranormal soap opera by Naomi Palmer, and my new favorite out of the series. Book 3 is on the same timeline as book 2, only in book 3. We're following the three Devereaux sisters, December, Silver, and Holly. I don't want to say too much and spoil the story for you but each one has a different relationship dynamic going on and I'm not sure which one's my favorite because they're all delicious.
Not only does the story have romance, but it has paranormal elements and characters too like ghosts, vampires, and demons. This one we even get aliens! On top of that, we get to learn some of the magical history of tourmaline, the way that Nomi wrote this was absolutely chef's kiss. I truly felt like I was being taken back into time and experiencing that history. While book one and two was more of a paranormal romance vibes, book 3 gave us more of the romantacy vibes.
As always, with all of nomi's books that I have read so far, the world building and character development have been superb. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series! There's still two more books to go and when it's time for her to have audiobooks you bet I will be listening to those non-stop because I guarantee they're going to be phenomenal just like the books were.
Also, can we take a moment for the cover because this is gorgeous, absolutely beautiful and stunning just like the other two books. All three book babies look so beautiful. I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy! So if you haven't yet, add hopeless devotion to your TBR and go check it out then once you devour the book come back and let us know what you thought of it!
And before I go, I just want to say a huge thank you to know me for allowing me to be part of her alpha team and getting the chance to be on this journey with her and seeing these books develop. I know this is her dream and I am beyond happy for her!
Thank you to the author, Nomi Palmer, for letting me ARC read this book!
I have been anticipating this book ever since I finished the 2nd one, Immortal Passions. I could not get back to Tourmaline fast enough. This is book 3 in the Passions Series and my favorite so far!
The Passions Series is a paranormal soap opera with so much chaos, angst, rage, love, hate, drama...everything you could ever ask for in a book. With plenty of characters to keep you entertained, you will not want to put this book down.
We have seen vampires, demons, witches, fallen angels, and now...ALIENS! And we get a whole new group of couples to follow along with. The Devereaux sisters and their could be love interests. We also get to learn a lot more about the history of Tourmaline and why a certain demon has returned.
I can't recommend this series enough, and this book was a great addition to it!
I don’t know what to write but in a good way!? I thought book 1 was amazing, book 2 was better and book 3 was even better! You out do yourself Nomi. Just when you think that’s it! BAM you get another issue and drama.
I loved this the most because of Daesnomon and Adam. Daes: He’s wit, charm, arrogance just made it. And Adam: never giving up and protectiveness. I love a good wolf story and bringing that aspect into this made it for me. Something about an alpha wolf that makes me drool.
One of my favourite parts was when Jay, Devlin and Leif came back into the picture for a short chapter it was hilarious. Bringing back characters from books 1&2 is just divine. I can’t wait for Book 4!
“….. took a quick step forward and punched Desmond in the mouth. "F**k!" he swore, stumbling back-ward. Hahaha! So good!!
I went into this series completely blind and really didn’t know what to expect. I inhaled the first two books and this book was no different. This series has all the paranormal baddies and I loved how it reads like a soap opera.
This book picks up right after the meteor event in book 2, which releases a demon and takes place at the same time as Immortal Passions. This is the third book of the series and it was full of all the good stuff, the characters continue to be enjoyable and the spice was nice.
Definitely check out this series. It’s such a fun read and if you’re into paranormal soap operas.
Get in babes, we’re reading paranormal soap operas!
One of my top indie series released book 3 this week and you KNOW I had to get my hands on it and read it. 😍 It immediately picks up and is interwoven with book 2, so it was super cool to figure out the timelines (the author @nomipalmerauthor even made a tandem reading guide!) if you are down for M-E-S-S-Y multi POV romances with all the drama of gossip girl, this is a series I always recommend. I mean- fake engagement, love triangles, best friends to lovers, age gaps, ONLY ONE BED?! Sign me up! This series is also available on KU which is amazing. Thank you @nomipalmerauthor for writing this amazing story!!!
The Devereaux sisters; December, Holly, and Silver, learn there is more to their hometown than what meets the eye after they see a green meteorite fall from the sky. Their personal lives become more interesting when they meet a demon who was locked up for centuries, an otherworldly being who lost his memory, and losing a friend to a tragic accident.
With the cliffhanger in “Immortal Passions,” I absolutely could NOT wait for this book to come out. Nomi Palmer does an amazing job at keeping you engaged and wanting to read more. We have the perfect amount of tension, passion, and paranormal. A soap opera supernatural book at its finest. This book is in my top 10 books read this year!
Reasons why I love this book ✨ multi-pov ✨ open door spice ✨ best friends to lovers ✨ supernatural ✨ paranormal ✨ witches
Okay. So. I just finished Hopeless Devotion and I need someone to hold my hand (and possibly perform an exorcism because WHAT just happened?!).
This book is the third in Nomi Palmer’s Passions series and somehow, impossibly, it’s even more intense, more emotional, and more beautifully chaotic than the ones before it. I didn’t think I had anything left to give after Intense Feelings and Immortal Passions but Hopeless Devotion grabbed my heart, chewed it up, and said “we’re not done yet.”
Without spoiling anything: the stakes are higher. The feelings are messier. The Devereaux sisters are in it, and the way Nomi weaves together grief, love, magic, and trauma is just… unreal. Like how dare she?
And don’t even get me started on the reveals. Or the heartbreak. It’s all-consuming in the best possible way. Tourmaline feels more haunted than ever, and I am so here for it.
If you love books that feel like they might ruin you a little (in a good way), Hopeless Devotion should absolutely be on your list.
This book series has me in an absolute chokehold. This book tied everything up very nicely in anticipation for the next book! It has all the things you could want in a book and it’s nice to get all the povs from different characters. This book is action packed and has you on the edge of your seat the whole ride through. All the twists and turns makes this book and this series so spectacular and makes you want to keep reading and frothing at mouth for more!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The drama was absolutely insane. If you read the first two books, then you know what I’m talking about. This book is an actual soap opera entangled in a paranormal underworld. There is non-stop action. I loved the many POVs, the couples, and all the… DRAMA!! Can’t get enough of it. Can’t wait to read the next books in the series.
i thoroughly enjoyed all three books. i can honestly say i’ve never read anything like it. i LOVE the soap opera-esque style of writing. this book gave me alllllllll the emotions. if you liked the first two, this one will have you hooked in the universe!!
Ahh… Tourmaline… I missed you and all your drama 🥹
If you haven’t read “Intense Feelings” or “Immortal Passions” yet, now is the time to catch up! “Hopeless Devotion” is the third book in the Passions Series by Nomi Palmer, and I could not be more thrilled to be back in such a drama-filled town!
Taking place at the same time as the events happening in “Immortal Passions” (so 26 years after “Intense Feelings”), you are introduced to the Devereaux sister’s - December, Silver and Holly - and their friends, acquaintances and some soon to be lovers. With a dynamic cast of characters (some popping in from the previous books), mystical beings and a whole bunch of new drama taking place, there is never a dull moment - you will just devour this book.
The writing is superb, the world building is wonderful and how all the books are tying together is just incredible. Nomi has done a fantastic job of weaving all of these books together perfectly - I can’t wait for the next one to come out!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars - a super fun and drama filled must read!
There was so much happening in this! I wish I didn't wait so long after book 2 because of the overlapping timelines!! But I liked that I'd be reading and get to an "oh yeaaaah" part.
This is an eARC review so I'm sorry for being late! I just wanted to make sure I was in the right mood for my favourite soap opera 💚
My fave in this was Adam by a landslide.
Shocking my 2nd fave was Silver and her man.... because the way I got Buffy /Angel "It's not enough time" vibes had me near tears.
And not the best part but also kind of was.... my Ethan crumbs!! I hope that man stays on his villainous path for a while!
The first two books were amazing—but this third one? There has to be a word beyond "amazing" because Hopeless Devotion is absolutely that! I loved every single minute of it. It’s packed with back-to-back drama and nonstop tension that kept me on edge the entire time. I genuinely thought I might have a heart attack at some points—I was that nervous!
The plot was full of shocking twists. I literally gasped out loud more than once because I did not see things coming. The story picks up from the meteorite event, and it was so satisfying to finally get to the bottom of what it all meant—without ever feeling lost, even with such a big cast of characters.
Speaking of the characters, I loved (almost) all of them—okay, maybe not two, but no spoilers! The writing made it so easy to stay hooked, and honestly, I could fangirl for hours about this book.
In short: I absolutely loved it and cannot wait to read more! Huge thanks to Nomi for the ARC—I adore this series so much! <3
This is an ARC reader review and the opinions are my own.
I cannot say enough good things about this book. This story is told during the same timeframe as Immortal Passions. (Second book in the Passions series.). The story centers around the Devereaux sisters: December, Silver and Holly. There are plenty of characters from the first two books, but they play a lesser role in this story.
I love Nomi's world building. In each book she gives us a little more of the paranormal goings on of the towns. Although there are less vampires, there are more demons, witches, and some other things that I can't mention without spoilers.
There was definitely more action in Hopeless Devotion. There were plenty of gasps. So much tension, too. But, there was also a ton of romance.
I think Hopeless Devotion is Nomi's best book so far. I can't wait to get my hands on book four.
They just keep getting better and better! This series is unlike anything I’ve read. A soap opera in deed! but in the best way. You have Demons, witches, vampires, aliens , son of greed, yes actual greed and gods and humans. I can’t wait for the next book!
Oh and the author is Canadian 🇨🇦 which is just amazing and love supporting a fellow Canadian!
Hopeless Devotion is another great installment in the Passions series. This is a spicy paranormal romance and one of my fav reads of the year! The story follows the Devereaux sisters and their men. I highly recommend getting into this series and deep diving!
