Katerina and her younger sister Sophia are half Italian and half Russian. Their father, Eduardo Mincetti, is one of the top Mafia Don’s in the New York Cosa Nostra. Katerina is being groomed to take over as the Don when her father retires. Their mother died a couple of years before Katerina goes to college. She uses the name Katerina Petrov when she goes to Harvard to hide her family connections. She was a freshman at Harvard when she meets Xander Steele who is a senior. Xander comes from a wealthy family in Washington DC. They date and are intimate. Their relationship crumbles when Xander’s father finds out who Katerina really is and throws her out of their house at Thanksgiving.

Katerina breaks it off with Xander even though it breaks her heart. She goes to Moscow for business and finds out she is pregnant. At 19, she gives birth to a baby boy in Moscow. To keep her baby boy safe from any enemies of the Mincetti family, she flies to Washington DC and leaves him in his carrier on Xander’s doorstep. She loves them both but needs to leave them alone to keep them both safe. She goes back to New York and doesn’t tell anyone about the baby not even her sister Sophia.

Katerina is now 28 and in charge of the Mincetti Family. Her sister Sophia is married to Anthony and they have a 2 year old daughter named Nova. Sophia has stepped away from being active in the Mafia. Playing with her niece makes Katerina miss her son.

Xander works for his father’s company and is striving to be the next CEO. His son Nate is now 9 and is Xander’s priority. Xander’s father is opening a branch of the company in New York and he sends Xander there. Katerina is involved with a rival company and Xander’s father wants him to handle her.

Katerina and Xander had such great chemistry and brought out the best in each other. I was rooting for them and loved that Nate got to meet his mom.

Kat & Xander ATE DOWNNN

What a perfect way to end the series. I’m not gonna spoil too much. But this story was so good, it had enemies to lovers, the dynamic of true loves always find their way back to each other, and who doesn’t love seeing a woman as a mafia Don. And the relationship we see blossom between Kat and her son is just a great way to tie it all up. Definitely a 10/10⭐️ read. But also read the other three in the series. They are just as good as this one. But, in my opinion, this one is just amazing.

This is Xander and Katerina’s story.
This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with family, dynamics, action, drama, regrets, twists, palpable chemistry, danger, suspense, intrigue, second chances, forgiveness, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and steamy dark mafia romance.

Love this series!

I was a little confused when I bought this book. I started this series, but when I read the description, it kept saying Alexander and I didn't know who that was, lol. I still can't put this series down. I'm totally invested in these characters. Katerina and Alexander was a good story, and I really enjoyed it. If you haven't started this series, you really need to get on it.

This was Xander and Katerina’s story. Her relationship with Xander was a rollercoaster destined to crash so, she saved them both the trouble and left. Her only regret is the one thing she had to do.

Is it a spoiler to say the FMC murders an innocent person that she cares about and has known since childhood 7% of the way into this story? Dark mafia or not, the sociopathic (and highly unnecessary) murder of someone loyal to you that you’re punishing for helping you is a bucket of ice water. Did not finish.

Cute

A very cute story with an unexpected storyline. I have to say I kept waiting for Xander to be revealed as a secret Don but I guess Kat being the Don is actually really fun and unique. A good story that would have been better if we had a little bit more development of the characters.

I loved this book. Xander and Katerina’s story was refreshingly different. I loved the characters who evolved right along with the story. As much as I like reading Ashlie Silas’ books I wish she would have someone proofread them. It’s irritating to be reading and then come to a sentence that doesn’t make sense because some arbitrary word is thrown in there.

This book was a great mafia romance. First it had a female Don, Kristina is in charge. She kills, she’s great with a weapon, she’s smart and she tough. Now Xander is a billionaire and at first he was sweet, handsome and confident. Years later he’s had to toughen up a little. Life hasn’t been easy, especially when raising a child by yourself. Xander is now forced to go to NY where Kristina lives and interact with her for the benefit of his company. This plot in this book was so unexpected for me. The title led me to think something completely different. I love when a book surprises me. I love the unexpected , its what makes reading my favorite pastime. Getting lost in a good story not knowing, where the author is going to take you. I enjoyed this divergence from the traditional mafia story. This was an excellent read from a great author.

She finds herself pregnant with the dangers in Russia, so she decides to leave the baby with Xander by leaving her son on his doorstep. Will Xander allow Katerina to ever see her son or allow her to part of their lives?.

Once they reconnect, it is a bumpy ride with drama and steam, suspense and danger, sexual tension and chemistry, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Xander and Katrina will have you glued to the pages of this thrilling story. Xander takes a chance and ask Katrina out and it will start their path, but Katrina has a past one that is going to come back full force having her lose everyone she holds dear including giving up her child. She and Xander reconnect, and he wants answers. Will she be able to explain everything and will it lead the to a second chance for love.

This mafia spicy romance was a good mix of background story and the present. Their chemistry is well described and is balanced with also living their own lives. I loved her position in the mafia world!! I liked how this story was about overcoming fears and trying to figure out how their lives and families could work. In my opinion this isn’t too dark, more emotional with a second chance that pushes them both to overcome painful things. This is a really nice spin that the FMC is in the mafia world and the MMC is not, but from a very wealthy family. I definitely recommend this book!

Wow, what a story, it definitely held my attention!!! This was a steamy intriguing story. The writing was captivating and the characters were believable and well-defined. The plot had many twists and turns dealing with suspense, excitement and some steamy romance. My only negative is the lack of good proofreading, it needed a good once-over. I definitely will be reading more of Ms. Silas' books!

Ten years ago, Katerina and Xander were in a committed and loving relationship. However, one day Katerina overheard Xander's dad telling him that he had to choose between his dad's company or Katerina, and Xander hesitated. As a result, Katerina left him. Later, she discovered that she was pregnant. Now, Xander hates Katerina for leaving him their son and disappearing. All is not as it seems though. This story has action, romance, and a LOT of steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Xander and Kat met at Harvard and when Xander's father didn't approve of Katerina Mincetti's Mafia family, she broke up with him and went to Moscow. Fast forward 10 years later, Kat is now Don of the Mincetti's and Xander is VP of Steele Industries, his family's business. A secret pregnancy; single parenthood; a second chance; and an old threat makes this a good edition to this Mafia series. I really like the use of the cross-over characters that are brought in to the current storyline.

What a POWERFUL and SUSPENSEFUL romance book that makes my heart ❤️ pound loudly in my chest due to Xander and Katerina’s relationship that is on and off and on again. When Xander tries to find Katerina I really started squirming in my chair not knowing what was going to happen. I did catch myself smiling with how the ending was worded. I thought it was romantic and sweet.

Will they now give them a chance and take the second chance or has too much happened and too many secrets and concealed pregnancy that they will no longer be able to manage it?

This book wasgreat. Xander and Katerina are perfect together. Their history goes back to college when they were so in love and then she up and left so he wouldn't find out who she really was. She didn't know she was pregnant. This book encompasses love, second chances, forgiveness and compromise. All the good things in life.
