When a vampire lives for as many centuries as Anastasia has, she knows a good thing when she sees her. So when she enters the Green Witch bar, she instantly decides to claim its delectable owner as her own. The closer she gets to enthralling Kaci, the more she realizes her new obsession is hiding something dangerous.
Chase has taken down her share of predators, having hunted monsters for most of her adult life. She also knows better than to get involved with a client, but when the Green Witch's gorgeous owner seeks Chase's help to stop the vampire stalking her, Kaci proves irresistible.
All three women harbor dark secrets, and Chase's hunt for Anastasia threatens to expose all of their past sins and destroy them.
She Comes at Night is a 35,000 word erotica novella full of vampires, lesbian sex, and dom/sub relationships
Alena Cerulean lives in Richmond, Virginia. When she isn’t writing something, she can often be found (if you know what she looks like), haunting various coffee shops and bars. She’s also worked in a call center for a company that shall go unnamed for the past decade.
I was barely halfway into the first chapter and the writing and story already had me under control. There was no way I could put the book down to go back to sleep tonight, and finished it as quickly as I could.
The presence of heavy mind control might put off some readers, but personally I loved it. It speaks to who I am in so many ways and this book was written so damned well that I truly fell under it's sway. The women were distinct and whole, characterization folded into erotic scenes and softer ones. Every chapter had something absolutely delectable in it and made for an absolutely erotic and sexy read.
It's beautiful enough I'm rambling again. Definitely worth a read if you want something beautifully written and sexy and can handle the heat.
I struggled quite a bit with this one. The entire plot and almost all of the spicy scenes revolve around NC MC. It feels very one-note, and I wanted so much for something to break out of this pattern to make the story feel a bit more vibrant.
By the end, I found that I just kind of shrugged. There wasn't much of a plot twist that you don't see coming.
I know other folks really enjoyed this one, and props to the author for leaning in and giving her audience what they'd enjoy, but this one wasn't for me.
Okay THIS one was right up my alley. Every scary dom should in fact have a bigger, scarier, blood-drinkingier dom behind her, thanks. In this house we love women’s wrongs and also explaining and excusing and forgiving every last one of them. 10/10 will read again.
I'm stunned. One of the best sapphic vampire erotica I've read so far and it even includes my favorite kink while also having a solid story with unexpected twists. I'm not used to content, but I actually didn't mind in this case as it was executed perfectly in my opinion. Great work, I'm really looking forward to read more by Cerulean!
