This is an awesome book for those beginning the spiritual walk. Father Williams speaks in clear, everyday language without losing the impact of the truths of the Catholic spiritual tradition. He offers a beautiful mix of practical strategies for spiritual growth and encouragement to the reluctant soul.

I am very disappointed that this book seems to have moved out of circulation. It filled a needed niche for simple, practical discipleship for the Catholic who is just beginning the spiritual journey and who is not able or willing to absorb deep theology.

finally!! A book that tells me how to apply the knowledge I've been accumulating. A lot of it is spiritual common sense, but I'm learning a lot too.

Also has a good chapter on spiritual direction, and formulating a plan for your spiritual progress.
