Masters of Discourse

Rate this book
Welcome to the new world order, where mass media, a fully integrated public-opinion-forming machine of mind control had rendered the Left and Right obsolete and subservient to Zionism. Who are the people who own and operate this machine? Are they actually the Jewish Lobby? No, says Shamir. The formidable Jewish Lobby is just the visible tip of the iceberg, while below there are miles and miles of solid ice: media lords, chief editors, their favourite university pundits in short, the Masters of Discourse. In this third volume of his writing, Israel Shamir travels around the world to find the reason for their captive hold over our thinking.

Shamir is a highly entertaining contrarian. His witty polemics led me to reconsider a lot of my political presuppositions, including several I previously did not know I possessed! If I remain unconvinced by some of his arguments––particularly those involving women's rights and the value of christianity--I found reading this vast collection of essays both enjoyable and refreshing. Particularly recommended to those who have already been softened up a little by reading Chomsky, Gilad Atzmon, Max Blumenthal, and the like.

I disagree with much of Shamirs writing but I respect and applaud his opposition to supremacism, globalisation and suppression of discourse.
