The final pages of history are being written. Recent global upheavals, exponential technological advances, collapsing morality, and calls for a one-world government are all preparing the way for the Antichrist's reign. Gathering fascinating insights from biblical prophecy, authors Jimmy Evans and Mark Hitchcock encourage readers
Recognize the "signs of the times" heralding the approach of earth's final days.Withstand coming persecution, deception, and spiritual warfare as global rebellion intensifies.Stand confidently in Christ's victory over the forces of darkness until Jesus returns. We are witnessing an astonishing acceleration of events paving the way for this satanically-empowered dictator. But fear not, because on the horizon is the glorious appearing of our Savior. It's time to embrace Him. Jesus is the only hope who will see us through the coming storm.
Jimmie and Mark have put together an excellent book to guide anyone through to the end of the church age and the downfall of the antichrist. Using solid, expertly presented Biblical reasoning, the book offers a time of rest and confirmation for those like myself who have been teaching on these things for over five decades, as well as easy to understand explanations for those new to the faith. Read it.
If you are looking for a very basic and one-sided view of the tribulation period the Bible talks about, this is a good book. It reads more like a track than a deep study and even moderately disparages the millions of Christians who differ on specific texts. Perhaps the worst offense of this is the authors misinterpretation of 2 Thessalonians 2 (an interpretation that even many who agree with their overall time-table would differ). They add insult to injury by employing low-ball rhetorical techniques. They state that all “reputable scholars” believe… I suppose this means anyone who disagrees with their particular eschatological interpretation is not reputable.
Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot of good teaching here. But it would be better. Had they been a little more open to other valid views, especially in light of their admonition that people needed to keep an open mind about the interpretation of Scripture.
My biggest frustration, however, is the use of “AI” in the title. It serves for little more than marketing to get people like me to buy the book. There is very little information about AI in the book and what is there is extremely generic.
Finally, and this critique is given elsewhere, they overstate their case about the use of AI as a technology of the antichrist. While, this may in fact be an accurate prediction, I have been reading these kinds of books, long enough to know that many similar predictions have gone by the wayside. The authors also seem to ignore the potential for how new technologies may be positively used for the gospel of Christ.
There is value in this book to those who desire a “Left Behind” view of eschatology but the title is misleading at best and there is not a lot new here for those who are already familiar with the topic.
I thought this might be kookie but I need to read a book about AI for a library challenge & I’m SO glad I did! This was not kookie at all! It was amazing & inspiring. I feel like every Christian needs to read it!!! It really opened my eyes, but also gave me hope & peace & a stronger desire to become even more rooted in Jesus Christ, the only Savior. I’m grateful I came across this book & gave it a chance.
This book was "okay". I was expecting more discussion on new technology and how that is paving the way for the antichrist. Instead, the book is mostly about the antichrist--who he is and isn't, how he will deceive, etc. Nothing I hadn't already read. There were some nuggets to take away from the book, but overall, I was disappointed.
This book Is an excellent overview of pertinent passages of,the,Bible every one, should know about. Well organized, easy, reading, it is,a road map of things,to come. It,will equip you for the future. I highly recommend this book!
