What an explosive, entertaining, and delicious rockstar romance that hits ALL the right notes….especially the spectacular audio production! If you’re a fan of enemies-to-lovers, hate to love vibe romances packed with banter, heat, and all that rockstar backstage drama, Lauren Rowe’s Love Hate duet (comprised of books Falling Out of Hate With You and Falling Into Love With You) is a fantastic read, and an even better listen. Lauren has fast become my queen of all things rockstar here, this impeccable audio and mesmerizing story is lots of fun. With two unforgettable leads, palpable love-hate tension, and the beloved fake dating trope that quickly spirals into something very real, this story is pure rock out entertainment from start to finish.
This is the story of Laila Fitzgerald and Adrian Savage—two rival rockstars who pretend to despise each other while secretly harboring a combustible attraction. From their first charged encounter filled with biting banter, it’s clear that their "hatred" is masking something far more volatile: luscious longing. Savage is hopelessly drawn to the alluring Laila, and though she acts unimpressed by him, she’s just as intrigued. Their chemistry doesn’t just simmer—it scores the pages. And that tension is forced to explodes when they are forced in a fake relationship while filming a reality TV show. What begins as a publicity stunt turns quickly into a slow-burning (then hella spicy) unraveling as they both confront their attraction… their complicated pasts. Their romance is messy, magnetic, and impossible not to root for.
But the true ROCK star? The dual narrated audiobook experience. Narrated by Jacob Morgan (aka Zachary Webber) and Andi Arndt, the duet performance elevates the story to another level. Their vocal chemistry is as sharp and steamy as the characters they portray. Jacob has an unmatched ability to voice brooding, cocky men while also unfurling their soft, swoon-worthy side—so he’s perfect as Savage. He nails both the emotional content and the sassy sarcasm, while also all the swagger of our leading man. And’s performance is a perfect balance of fierce and flirty as Laila. Her portrayal captures the rock goddess queen energy while giving us mesmerizing moments of vulnerability that ground the story and deepen the connection to the character.
What really makes this audio so special t is the inclusion of original music written for the characters. Yes Lauren actually had original songs created and the actual full songs are performed, making this a uniquely immersive listening experience. The music brings the emotional arcs to life in a way that’s visceral and beautiful. You feel every lyric. Every note. It’s not just a romance; it’s a soundtrack to a love story in progress. A romance concert. It was so cool. This audiobook isn’t just a good time—it’s a full-on festival for your ears experience. Highly recommend Story: 4 stars Audio: 5+ stars
What to expect -Rockstar romance -Forced proximity -Enemies to Lovers/Hate to love -Fake dating -Banter
I was able to read and listen to this duet. And let me tell you, the audiobook was so good. I feel the narration of Jacob and Andi elevated what was a super enjoyable story to wow this story slayed. There is just something about how the performers take on the roles of the characters. It could make or break a story and they definitely made this story shine. The angst hurt. The chemistry was fire. The banter was spot on. Overall, I recommend this story whether you decide to read or listen to it. But if you get a chance grab the audiobook. Its chefs kiss good.
🎧AUDIO & ARC REVIEW🎧 📚The Hate Love Duet by Lauren Rowe 🎤Andi Arndt & Jacob Morgan
DUAL NARRATION 4.5 ⭐
My weekend was consumed with binging these two books & I totally LOVED every minute of it!🙌 This duet is made up of: Falling Out of Hate With You & Falling Into Love With You. It follows the story of two dueling rockstars, Laila Fitzgerald & Adrian Savage & their relationship going from total hate to feral lust and genuine love.
I was totally consumed with this audio & the performances from Jacob & Andi. Wow! They were so fun to listen to. Their snarky banter & feral fighting had me giddy. Just non-stop crazy chemistry that had me smiling & devouring this audio.
Laila & Savage are messy & hot. Despite acting like they can't stand each other, these two want nothing more than to just jump into bed together. Their initial meeting is fraught with snide remarks & unsavory looks but in reality Savage is pining over this woman something fierce and Laila is just as smitten. There is literally so much chemistry between these two, totally palpable. The more they poke & prod one another, the thicker the tension gets.
When a situation forces them to pretend to date & sends them off to stay in the Hollywood Hills together, there's no question that things are about to heat up. 🔥
What makes this audiobook so unique are the original songs that Lauren has written to go along with the story. They are performed & added into the book for a very unique & immersive experience. Totally awesome & cool!
🎧Let's talk audio: As usual, Jacob & Andi are OUTSTANDING & their performance skills continue to amaze me. Jacob's unique ability to voice a character that's kind of a jerk but at time you're swooning hard over, is always a treat for me! Deep down Savage is sweet, charming & sensitive, then throw in his snarky & cocky ways and it's utterly addictive. He's always so fun to listen to when he voices other characters, especially women. You're left cracking up & giggling the whole time. Andi is equally delightful performing the bombshell, sex kitten, Laila's got the girl next door charm on the outside but a sassy vixen attitude inside. She's the perfect combination of sassy & sweet and Andi NAILS it. The narrators amazing chemistry just makes this audio a MUST!
The angst & pining along with some past trauma from these characters makes for a WONDERFUL book written by Lauren. I recommend the AUDIO on this one so much, especially if you're an audiobook lover. The interactive experience was so fun to listen to. I just ate this up & LOVED the chemistry & banter between these two.
Thanks to Lauren Rowe and Hambright PR for copies of E-ARC and audio to review. All thoughts are my own.
🎶 Rockstar Romance 💘 Forced Proximity 🎶 Hate to Love 💘Fake Dating 🎶Spicy Chemistry 💘Witty Banter 🎶 Loads of original music
I absolutely devoured this duet!
Laila and Savage embark on a tour together, their animosity towards each other turning into a love-hate dynamic that’s both epic and entertaining. Narrated in dual by Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt, their voices complement each other perfectly. Adrian Savage, a renowned rock star, teams up with the rising star Laila Fitzgerald. Despite his genuine affection for her, Savage can’t help but project sarcastic disdain. Their banter is flawless, and Jacob Morgan excels at capturing Savage’s dry, sarcastic humor and quick wit.
As Savage’s family life takes a heartbreaking turn, Jacob Morgan voices Savage’s sadness, regret, and a moment that brought me to tears was the gratitude he had for the teenage childhood he was gifted. Andi Arndt also shines as Laila, capturing her confidences while also conveying her hesitation when it comes to her true feelings towards Savage.
At the end of the day, both characters play a significant role in irritating each other, but when it comes to being there for each other, they step up in remarkable ways.
This review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the incredible music by Lauren Rowe throughout the book. It’s rare to find audiobooks with characters singing, and each song contributes significantly to the story, evoking chills and tears. Check out my highlights of past stories to confirm my reaction.
🫶🏼Thank You @hambright_pr for the opportunity to listen and review.
What. A. Ride. I just finished this duet and wow, it completely blew me away! I should’ve known after Spark how much I’d fall for this one too, but it still managed to exceed my expectations.
This book follows Laila and Savage (Adrian) as they hit the road and step into the spotlight on a TV show. I was lucky enough to ARC read it while also listening to the ALC and let me just say, the narrators nailed it. Every emotion hit perfectly, bringing the story to life.
The story is packed with heart, heat, and laugh-out-loud moments. The chemistry between Adrian and Fitzy? Off the charts. I was cheering for them from the start their secret pining, emotional vulnerability, and eventual fall into love was just chef’s kiss. I especially adored Adrian’s bond with Mimi. She was so proud of him!
I flew through this today and I couldn’t put it down! Beautifully written, emotionally rich, and deeply satisfying. If you love your romances with music, spice, tension, and heart? This duet is a must.
The Hate Love Duet is a bundle of two consecutive books:
Book 1 - Falling Out of Hate With You Book 2 - Falling Into Love With You
🎸 Rockstar 🤣 Witty banter 💏 Enemies to lovers 🤏 Forced proximity ❤️ Spicy sizzling chemistry 🎶 Loads of original music
4.5 stars This is my second rockstar romance I’ve read in a week or so and I am absolutely here for it. Give me ALL the rockstar romance. This duet was just so dang entertaining and so much fun. The chemistry, banter and sarcasm between Savage and Laila was INSANE and Jacob and Andi narrated all of it perfectly. These two never miss when narrating together!
I especially liked the singing competition storyline and the ins and outs of that business and how toxic it can be. I found it so intriguing and added another layer to an already fun story! It had laugh out loud moments, lots of miscommunication, some angst, character growth, a few tender and heartbreaking moments, and plenty of spice! I didn’t find it as toxic (even though they were quite a bit toxic ) as some other rockstar romances and I think that’s one of the reasons I enjoyed it so much! It kept me engaged throughout!!
In addition to the amazing talent from Jacob and Andi narrating, the audiobook included original songs which brought the story to a whole different level! I highly recommend!
Laila and Adrian, aka Savage, are fun and messy and hot and everything in between!
🎶Rockstar romance 🎶Forced proximity 🎶Hate to love 🎶Fake dating 🎶So much chemistry 🎶Banter filled
Laila and Savage get off to a less than stellar start when Savage is being Savage and says some really unsavory things about Laila. So from there on out, there is no love lost between them.
But in reality, Savage is pining and sitting in unrequited (he thinks) tension. These two have so much chemistry it’s not even funny! So when things happen and they are forced to fake date, you just know that it’s about to heat up!
Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt are phenomenal as Savage and Laila. Their banter being narrated had me literally laughing out loud!
I can’t even tell you how much I loved this book and loved seeing all of the other musician couples from previous books.
Also, I literally cannot stop listening to Hate Sex High either.
This rockstar duet was so much fun! I loved Savage and Laila and their banter and OMG... their chemistry, the SPICE!!! 🥵 I'm also slightly obsessed with the music - highly recommend the audiobook for this one so you can listen to the full original songs.🎶 It made for such an immersive reading experience!
BLURB Adrian Savage: I'm obsessed with popstar Laila Fitzgerald, the opener on my band’s world tour. I tried to stay away when my bandmate said he was crushing on her. But in trying to do the right thing by my best friend, I've done the wrong thing by myself. I've pushed Laila away so hard, she hates my guts. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’m her sworn enemy by now. The kicker? For a sick f*ck like me, that only makes me want her even more.
Tropes: 🎸 Rockstar 🤣 Witty banter 💏 Enemies to lovers 🤏 Forced proximity ❤️ Spicy sizzling chemistry 🎶 Loads of original music
I’m riding on a hate-sex high! I thoroughly enjoy everything Lauren Rowe writes every time. In this book of rockstars, Adrian Savage and Laila Fitzgerald are automatically drawn to one another. But when his best friend calls dibs, Savage backs off , which causes a series of miscommunications and lies, so it ends up being an enemies to lovers story. Then, we get a little fake dating for publicity sprinkled in, and thus, their relationship grows as they’re forced into each other’s proximity and they get to really know each other. I listened to the audiobook in one sitting it was so good. There were actual songs in the audiobook which I always find neat and different. Great book. Definitely recommend.
My weekend was consumed by my immersive read of the ebook and audiobook for The Hate Love Duet. This duet is compiled of the books Falling Out of Hate With you and Falling Into Love With You.
This duet follows Adrian Savage and Laila Fitzgerald through the rocky but destined journey of their love story. This enemies to lovers story where neither character truly hates each other. They both are talented musicians who care deeply, but often put on a mask to protect their heart. It was a relatable story if you took out the fact that they were both famous rockstars.
They find themselves in a situation throughout the story that makes it impossible to not spend time with one another. Soon they find out that they have far more in common with one another than they thought and also realize that so much of their conflict was self induced.
The audiobook was presented in dual style narration. Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt were stellar with their performances. Both narrators do a perfect job of pulling in the humor, emotion and spice throughout this entire audiobook. While sometimes dual style isn’t my favorite when it comes to an audiobook, both narrators voices perfectly executed the various characters in their individual chapters. It was great. Give me all the audiobooks like that!
And the music- what can I say. This audiobook was almost like a concert experience. When the characters talked about a song or lyrics, the song was infused into the audiobook. It really pulled you into the story and made you even more invested in the characters as musicians.
Highly recommend checking this one out!

The Hate Love Duet is a bundle consisting of books, Falling out of Hate With You & Falling into Love with You.
Why you will love this book: -Rockstar romance (both the MMC & the FMC are rockstars) -Witty Banter -Enemies to Lovers -Force Proximity -Sizzling Chemistry -MUSIC AND SINGING!!!!!
I listened to this on audio performed in Duet style narration. Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan ar the voice actors. As per usual, they are OUTSTANDING. With Jacob's amazing ability to get you to laugh and of course Andi and her beautiful tone. Thses two narrators knocked it out of the park and had amazing chemistry. I loved their relationship progression through the story. The angst was there along with past trauma that we know Lauren can bring with each book. Her writing combined with the talent of Jacob and Andi makes this a winner in my book. A beautifully told story along with amazing original music and songs written specifically for this book. If you are an audio book lover and want that interactive experience...this is your book!
I listened to the audio of this book, and wow, I was blown away! Lauren Rowe had original songs made to go along with the story. Add to that Duet narration with Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt, and this audio was a work of art! The banter between characters, along with the missed opportunities of the main characters, made the whole story epic. You can't help but root for them to finally see each other and get that darn HEA! I totally would recommend I know it's long, but the narrators keep you listening.
