I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried like a little bitch when I finished this one. "Tides of Fortune" didn't have as many "omg" rollercoaster moments as the first one, but still had its fair share of "whaaaaaat" and "no way" ones :) Thanks to the exquisite writing, I've become even more emotionally invested in the characters (hence crying like a little bitch) and I was left seething because I was annoyed that I'd devoured it all so quickly. The next book to read in the series is a novella: "Veils of Destiny." I was planning on flying through this one in order to get back to the main storyline (cliffhanger, much?!) but I'm unable to do so. Why, you might ask? I'll tell you. It's just as beautifully written as every single page in the first two books, and I'm completely engrossed. Again. Peyton Reynolds has a gift for lulling you into thinking you know what's going to happen, then surprising the heck out of you when you turn the next page. The ending of this one has left my heart hurting. I refuse to disclose any spoilers, but I will express my complete amazement at feeling so heartbroken for a fictional character. Why, Peyton. WHYYYYY. Miss Reynolds was kind enough to send me this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much; reading this was a pleasure. :)
Oh my! I absolutely love this series. What amazing story telling. I'm heartbroken though. No spoilers but this is an epic story, with complex and intriguing characters that will draw you in and leave you invested in their lives. I'm overjoyed at the length too. NEXT!!!!!
