As someone who loves Italy and Tuscany in particular, I could not wait to get into this book. The main character, Catherine has been working in the travel industry abroad for 10 years and has made her home in a small town outside of Florence with her ever present beloved labrador, Dante. I think every story I've read about Tuscany has a labrador called Dante in it. There is a lot of prosecco being drunk, name dropping of designer clothes, and a whole lot of fun going on. Due to a series of misfortunes she is forced to leave her beloved Tuscany. When she gains employment in Milan for an airline her life seems to turn a corner. However, she still pines for her beloved Tuscany. The first section of the book is a little flimsy to begin with, but bear with this story. In the beginning you'll focus on the descriptives of gorgeous Tuscany, but the story gets better and the writer pulls you in. It takes on a tasteful 50 Shades style during the second section in 'Milan'. She meets a gorgeous Pilot and things get very sexy. As can be expected the relationship ends, but I won't say how - you have to read it. Catherine returns to her beloved Tuscany in Section 3 and seems to find happiness. But there is a cliff hanger. Damn! I can't wait to find out what will happen.
