Charming #3

Charming As Hell: Library Edition

Rate this book
Hells never been hotter with the long-lost spawn of Satan firmly where she belongs. With a shiny new corporeal body and deep desperation for adventure, Mara is ready to paint the town red.

After nearly a decade of possessing humans to survive, Mara is looking for answers and she won’t stop until she has the full picture. Despite her paranoia, she manages the loyalty of three very attractive demons. Whether she’ll use this army for war or for her own personal pleasure is yet to be seen.

The one thing for certain is that there’s no stopping this formidable demon from getting what she wants, even if she doesn’t seem to know what her own end game is.

This is the third book in the Charming series. It’s recommended to read in release order, however, this can be read as a standalone.

Uhh what?

I’ve loved everything Sarah Blue has published so far, but this one is making it straight to my top 5 of 2023.

I don’t know what happened but Blue definitely leveled up and found her niche in the dark romantic comedy sub genre.

The way this book made me go through all the array of emotions is insane. Absolutely wonkers. I laughed out loud like a lunatic. I ugly snorted. I fucking swooned like a school girl. I got emotional and choked up more than once. I got so hot and bothered by a character, I made several memes about him. This book was filled with crack, that’s the only logical explanation.

Blue’s use of the language to emphasize how utterly unhinged these characters were is so masterfully done. Every line is delivered like a punch, every word is precise and used with a clear purpose. You know that feeling you get sometimes when you read a book and it just makes sense? IYKYK. This one was like that. Every small detail was mentioned because it had a relevance somehow. Characters were well rounded and defined. Each with their unique personalities, agency and purposes. They just felt real. And they were demons in Hell. That’s how well crafted this book was.

Mara was an incredible main character. She started very unstable mentally, as a direct consequence of all those years without a corporeal body. The way this was explained and tied back to the first book was so good. She was unsure of her place in Hell and who she could trust. And behind all of her crazy violence, she turned out to be just an insecure girl, trying to find acceptance, who believed no one would ever love her.

That mix of unhinged energy, unchecked violence and sweet vulnerability created an incredible main character. And on top of that, her character development is so masterfully done, it made me emotional.

Her obsession with getting her men’s undying devotion and loyalty could’ve seemed odd at first but it links back to the plot so beautifully, I was mind blown by that little twist. Just wait and see, y’all. It’s so good. Every single aspect of this book has a reason to be. It’s so fucking well done.

Then there’s silent fae warrior Elvor. He knew Mara was his from the moment he knew about her and nothing stopped him from getting what was his. Not that Mara resisted him one bit lol

Elvor wouldn’t say much, but every one of his lines is worth a mention. He has some of the best quotes and the way he showed Mara she belonged to him and Judd was one of the best scenes in the whole series. Forever living rent free in my mind.

Judd was a sad lil demon, lonely and lost until he met Mara and Elvor. The three together were amazing. Their connection felt so effortless, genuine and fun.

Judd is the sensible one in the group, the less chaotic demon. He’s all in from the start, he knows he belongs to Mara and he’ll do anything she asks of him. He’s such a sweetheart, I loved how he balanced things out and how he was the glue keeping the group together.

And lastly there’s Cunty McCunt Toth, aka the love of my life, future husband and father of my children. I’m so obsessed with this asshole, I’m convinced he’s making it to my #1 favorite character of 2023.

He’s crazy paranoid, has zero fucks to give, he’s rude and sarcastic and an absolute cunt most of the time. And I mean all of this in the best way possible. I’m literally swooning as I type this.

His dynamic with Mara was so incredible, like nothing I’ve read before. Their first scene made me giggle like a crazy person. Toth was so obsessed with Mara, and he hated it so much. His struggle to control his emotions were delicious 😮‍💨

Their banter made me wonder if it was foreplay or if they were bullying each other. And the usual conclusion was that it was both. Always both.

Their romance is one of the best slow burns I’ve read this year. The angst killed me so fucking much. There’s this insane twist about them that literally made me gasp and catapulted him and their ship to my top of the year.

This book is insane because it has an incredible done battle scene, lots of gore moments, unhinged, violent characters. And then it also has the most fucking romantic scenes ever. The contrast is amazing and so well done. There are some swoon worthy moments for sure.

Same as with the humor. Sarah Blue always makes me laugh but this one was taken to another level.

Mara’s relationship with Lucifer and Blair were so precious in this book. Even with Lilith. I got emotional several times with this family and how much they love each other. It still blows my mind how Lucifer is one of the best fictional fathers I’ve ever read 🤣

The ending left me ready for Stevie, Kas and Asmo. Their book is going to be amazing 😩❤️

I don’t know, I’m just so obsessed.

You can read this book as a standalone but I highly recommend you read them in order. They are all a masterpiece and knowing these characters before hand will make the reading experience so much better!

Some of my favorite quotes without context:

”See ya around, slut.” – Mara to Toth.

”Fine. No more nice.” – Elvor to Mara.

Somewhere between 3-3.5 stars

I thought this one was much better than the book before in the series but not nearly as good as the first. I really liked Mara and all the guys. Their relationships were fun and I liked their dynamic. This is completely a person taste thing but I found Mara too much for me in the beginning. She got better and I actually ended up really enjoying her in the end. I liked getting to see her vulnerable side and seeing her come into her new self. It was hard to get through the first bit though.

It is also very, very insta love. Probably the quickest I’ve ever read honestly. Making their relationships happen so soon leaves them without any foundation. It’s hard to be invested in their relationship when there is no depth to it. Especially because of one of the biggest plot points surrounding Mara. They really needed to prove they truly like her for her and I just didn’t see it.

This is a fun read though. I don’t take this entire series too seriously and just enjoy the books for what they are. The plot was a bit shaky and too many things seemed to just work out perfectly but again, who’s here for the plot? Love that there is one, just not the strongest out there.

Pleasantly surprised by book #3.
I have to admit, I didn't pay book #2 & #3 the same attention I did to book #1, mostly because I've been ill these last few days, and couldn't stand looking at any light... Which is why I've listened and not read the books.

Book 3 was everything I wished for book #2 to be.This wasn't sappy, there was more gore which goes well in hell. We also have a RH situationship, an element I've been a little obsessed with this year 🙊 and that is actually well situated in this environment. I find multiple relationships to be more believable in this world than the eternal monogamous love of Lucifer (I might be still a bit unconvinced by his celibacy in the 10+years Lilith stayed on Hearth).
I also appreciated all 3 boyfriends, Mara sure has good taste. To think I kind of disliked her and didn't want to read this.

¡¡ BUT BUT BUT !!
The best thing is in the epilogue we see Stevie's (Blair's cousin) arrival to Hell... We'll soon have another book with her, Asmodeus and Kas! Fu**ing finally!! This was what I had pictured book #2 to be about while reading #1. I want to know everything. I hoped for this to be Kas-centric, but I guess I'm okay with this too.

3.5 ⭐️

We finally got Mara's story, and I was ready for this sassy minx!! And she delievered!!! New body new family and confusing feelings on what she should do when she's in hell. Her father gives her some info that she has to stay inside and learn the workings of hell and that's when she meets Toth he's cranky and bossy she just loves getting under his skin and he's there to train and guide her. They have a rocky start since he rejects her. She's not butt hurt 😔 but she meets Elvor next and he's already smitten he wants to show his princess what he can do it's so cute how this big guy can be such a kitten to Mara. And not be jealous of Judd when they go and meet him and bring him into their little group. It takes Judd a moment because he's very soft and a drug dealer for hell, so who wants him. But them 3 are so perfect for each other that teasing the sexual tension was perfect. Even when Mara takes a hit when she finds out who her birth mother is and feels like it wasn't all real, no one likes her or cares for her. Because of her powers. My heart broke for her and what she did to Toth when he tried to help. It didn't hurt him, but it sure hurt her, thinking he never wanted her.

I'm glad her boys fought to show her what they have is real. The spicy was so delicious with each guy and when they did the group one. I do wish there were more group scenes.

We got hints for the next couple!!

i adored mara, elvor and judd's relationship, they were the cutest together and perfectly matched each other with how unhinged but sweet they were together 🥹. toth on the other hand... he didn't win me over and mara, elvor and judd (the loml ♡) would've been fine without him imo 😒.

i, in general, love how addictive the books in this series are. yes, the writing (especially in this one) and the development of the fantasy plot are very goofy, but whenever i start one i can't stop reading it. they're a good time, and perfect as a palette cleanser in between more serious reads.

Why choose one when you can have all three?!? Seriously - it's cute and I love all the characters. This starts at the end of book 1 when Mara and Blair first arrived in Hell.

Mara (Devil's daughter, sister to Blair) has just been given a permanent body by her dad - now she's out to learn who her mother is while also dealing with her abandonment issues (after having grown up in an orphanage). She's also ready to start exploring what it's like to be "human-ish". She collects her first lover, Elvor (shy, giant fae), who runs the torture chamber in Hell. That place is a lot of fun. Then Elvor and Mara go on their first date where they meeting sweet little Judd (self-esteem issues), and both Mara and Elvor want him. They provide some YUMMY times and both Elvor and Judd are the absolutely most precious demons you can imagine!!!! I love them. Finally - there's Toth (jerk, Devil's soldier). He's the crabbiest of them all - she calls him Daddy and even though he's not willing to be with the other guys, he's willing to participate in the sexual twister they've got going on.

They head out into the world to search for Mara's mom, and figure out exactly which powers Mara has. Then there's this war with the angels.

This is open-ended with the battle between the demons and the angels still raging on. Plus, Blair is still trying to get Stevie into hell and match her up with Kas and Asmo.

The reason this didn't get 5 stars is mainly because the amount of self-esteem issues was a little annoying at times.

Overall - I really did like this.

2, maybe 3⭐️ I’m obsessed with the first two books in the Charming series.

This one though follows Mara and her three love interests.

The two biggest reasons why I didn’t enjoy this book is because it’s a polyamorous love story and it rotates between the FOUR characters point of views. It was too many people minds to be inside of for me, and I prefer why choose stories over polyamory.

The story also wasn’t as interesting as the first two in my opinion. But I still love the world and Sarah Blue’s writing style.

this book is trying to dethrone CYD as my favorite book in the series😩

this was such a good time! wild, hot, and deranged makes for great books, i don’t make the rules🙂‍↕️

mara was such a little menace and I LOVED IT, she’s so unhinged and really owns it, she was everything (only she would rank her boyfriends Dance Mom’s pyramid style💀

as for our MMCs, my loves😭they were so down bad for mara (toth took a little work but we got there) and i ate it up, from the jump they were so ready to be loyal and be at mara’s side, and that’s what i like to see!

i got a chance to listen to the audiobook and i really enjoyed it! i can say though, i was not prepared for elvor’s narrator, talk about deep voices omg

big thank you to sarah for the free audiobook🖤

4.5 stars.
This book was a great time.
Mara is unhinged but I also related to her a ton. She's understandably salty about being abandoned her entire life and has some damage to work through.
I love that she got a why choose, and I loved her men.
Sweet baby Judd, hells depressed drug dealer. Elvor, massive fae torturer who speaks to no one but her. And grumpy Toth, right hand man to the devil, who is all worried about fucking the bosses daughter for some reason.
Are they all immediately obsessed with her? Yes, and it was great.
The spice was spicing in this one, for sure. I really enjoyed the way the dynamic with Mara, Judd, and Elvor played out. The guys are obviously into each other but its also clear that she's their whole world and I love that.
And the will they/wont they with Toth was a fun contrast to the way she fell into a relationship with the other two super quickly.

Honestly, no notes, this was the kind of read that I really am just here for the vibes, and they were great.

Some books just hit, and Sarah Blue’s always do. I’ve been rationing her books as little treats, knowing they’ll be the perfect mix of fun, spice, and heart—enough depth to be engaging but never tipping into too much angst or darkness. Charming as Hell delivered exactly that.

💘 Super Specific Tropes & Highlights:
    •    Villain FMC redemption arc (but she’s still a menace 😈)
    •    MMFM with wildly different dynamics
    •    Set in Hell...but it's the “good” kind of Hell—fighting the good fight, but also clubbing, dirty dancing, and torturing the wicked (they deserve it - you'll understand when you read it!)
    •    A carnival of suffering as a love language (piranha dunk tank included)
    •    A Dance Moms obsession that carries into the afterlife (with a pyramid ranking system for her 3 men - I DIED 💀)

Mara was introduced as a villain earlier in the series, so I wasn’t sure how I would feel about her. But from the very beginning, she stole the show. She’s sharp, funny, and fully embraces her power without ever trying to be sweet or soft. She isn’t likable in the traditional sense, but that’s what makes her so compelling. The book slowly reveals the trauma that shaped her, but it never drags her down. She’s a force to be reckoned with, and her why choose setup makes the story even more fun.

Her three men each bring something completely different to the table:
🔥 Elvor – The silent fae warrior. He doesn’t say much, but when he does, it counts. His devotion to Mara and his scene with Judd were some of the best moments in the book.
🖤 Judd – A lonely little demon who finally finds his place with Mara and Elvor. He’s the sweet one, the steady presence that holds everything together, and his love for Mara is unwavering.
🗡️ Toth – Paranoid, rude, and unapologetically chaotic. He has no filter and no patience for anyone but Mara. He’s the definition of an absolute menace, and it works so well.

The humor throughout the book made it even better. At one point, Mara’s grand romantic gesture involves a carnival where she gets to watch terrible people suffer, including dunking them into a piranha tank. It’s the kind of thing that could only happen in this series, and it’s done perfectly.

I’d call this dark-ish romance. There are heavier themes, but the tone stays entertaining and light enough that it never feels overwhelming. It’s exactly what I was hoping for—fun, spicy, and a little unhinged in the best possible way. Highly recommend.

YES. Holy shit yes. This was unhinged, funny, emotional, SPICY, everything I wanted! This book is my favorite in the series so far, taking the top spot from Blair and Dax (Charming Your Dad).

Mara is new to Hell after discovering she's Lucifer's daughter and getting her new demon body. She's not sure who to trust, after she's abandoned at birth by her mother and used by the angels. She just wants to be adored, and she meets Judd and Elvor, who immediately worship her and every dark, depraved and unhinged personality trait she has. Toth, who is her fathers second in command and is tasked with teaching Mara the workings of Hell, is not so easily pursuaded to her side. The fighting and banter and hate is like foreplay for them. Meanwhile the angels prepare for war and Mara is trying to figure out what her heritage is.

Mara is that character all women have inside of them. The girl we would be if we caved to our intrusive and impulsive thoughts. I loved her. All she wanted was to be loved. But she's so unhinged and unapologetic, violent but also sweet. She sees Elvor, Judd and Toth for what they are and what they need. Plus she's switch perfection and that is HOT. I seriously can't pick a favorite guy. Elvor is a silent giant and I love him. He's so sweet and devoted but can take charge when necessary. The paralysis scene was one of the hottest things I have read in a long time and that will live rent free in my mind forever. Judd is a sad boy, but he's so in touch with what Mara needs and I loved him overcoming his insecurities. He's such a good boy, subbing for both Elvor and Mara. And with the pierced goods, he's perfection. Toth is all passion and fire when it comes to Mara and I just loved their fighting. They get under each others skin and we love a man who can handle a strong woman. Mara can fully lash out because Toth can take it. I just loved all of them so much. The plot was actually a fun mix of character development and worldbuilding with everything going on with the angels. The spice was HOT, but we all know Sarah Blue is a queen in the spice department. I had the time of my life reading this.

Hell has a new Princess

| paranormal romance | demon | hell vs heaven | MFMM | SPICY | charming series | spooky reads | female villain | anti-hero | unhinged | humorous | dark humor | little psycho | adventure | insta love | dark MMC | secrets | unknown parentage | quest |

This was an absolutely unhinged conclusion to the charming series, and I am not mad about it at all. It took me a little longer to read this one, however it was a really great story. The FMC is absolutely unhinged in the best way. She is very much morally grey to black, which as a reader, I actually love reading characters like this.

The humor and content of this story are of a darker nature, so definitely be sure to read your trigger and content warnings. If you have ever read the cat and mouse duet and enjoyed the short story that went with it titled Satan's Affair, you will really enjoy this story. The FMC has very similar vibes to Sibby in many ways.

I also did not expect this story to have numerous love interests; however, as an RH lover, I was so down for it. Although this story was darker than the previous installments, there were still a lot of relatable feelings such as self-doubt and the journey we all embark on for self-discovery.

I have had so much fun reading the charming series. I think you might enjoy it too if you like dark romance, revenge, and absolutely unhinged characters. If you are down for morally grey to black FMC's and MMC's you will thoroughly enjoy this series.

Happy Reading, Friends xx

MARA FOR PRESIDENT!
Okay, not really her for president, BUT my god I love how unhinged she is!
Mara is now a demon with her own body and the heir to the throne of hell.
Can she trust dear old dad or is she being manipulated again?
Mara is testing out her new powers AND her new body as she explores hell and what it has to offer.
Toth is Lucifer’s number 2 man and the push and pull between him and Mara is DELICIOUS! Ordered to train her, but can he resist the pull to her?
Judd, our sweetheart of a drug dealer to Hell. He’s never felt wanted or felt he had a purpose until he meets Mara.
Elvor, big, silent, torture daddy. Mara finds him while wandering the pits and he knows irrevocably that she is his. 😈
While her harem grows and relationships blossom, the angels are starting a war that Hell plans to finish.
Can Mara trust Lucifer? Will she find out who her mom is?
Well, read the book cause the plot is great and the spice is even better!
Sarah is incredible and I will read anything she publishes!

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you so much Sarah Blue!

It's time for the princess of Hell to tell her story.

Charming As Hell is the third book in the Charming series, it's not necessary to read them in order, but it is recommended. Each book features different main characters and they have their own storylines, however, there is an overall plot that has been developed since Charming Your Dad. Also, the events of each book do not necessarily happen in chronological order. Oftentimes, the timelines overlap each other.

There's a "Previously on the Charming series" section which was an absolutely amazing summary of the series. I wish every series had one of those.

We've known Mara from the previous book. For a decade, she had been hopping from one human body to another, possessing them, but none could truly hold her power long enough. She's Lucifer's daughter, after all. Now she finally has a corporeal body of her own, and she's living in Hell as Lucifer's heir apparent. But being groomed by Beelzebub to take over Hell, Mara doesn't really know what she really wants or who to trust in her new home. So Mara begins her personal quest to understand the dynamics of Hell and discover for herself what she wants to be and do from then on. But she also wants to put into use her new smoking-hot body.

“It’s time to finally embrace being the Princess of Hell and wreak havoc on anyone who thought they could take advantage of me.”

Toth, Lucifer's right hand, is responsible for training Mara. While he was trying his best to deny his attraction to Mara, who, in her turn, is doing her best to push all his buttons.

Elvor, though, the beast of a fae and torturer of the pit, is more than happy to indulge Mara and make her his.

Judd is Hell's resident drug dealer. He's as insecure as he's sweet and in deep need of some TLC. He's so self-deprecating it hurts, but Mara is having none of that.

It's an unusual combination and they couldn't be more different if they tried, but the Princess of Hell wants what she wants, and she wants the three of them to pledge allegiance to her.

Mara is confident and sure of herself, but she has some lingering daddy issues, understandably. And saying she's magnetic is an understatement. She surprised and scared me in equal measure. She really had me fooled in the previous book, but I loved her unhingedness. We don't have enough morally grey FMCs, so I'm always glad when I find one.

The romance is very insta-lusty, so if you don't enjoy this trope, just trust the process. They love so fiercely and were so devoted to Mara and Mara for them, I liked a lot how their relationships developed.

However, I have this nagging feeling that something is missing when I'm reading this series but I really can't put my finger on what that is. The same happened with the other two books. I picked them up with high hopes, and while they took a slightly different direction than I expected, there were still many moments I enjoyed. That might just come down to personal taste. This book isn’t bad by ANY means—I truly had a great time reading it—even if, by the end, it didn’t resonate with me as deeply as I thought it would.

I can't excited for the next book, though! I've been waiting for Stevie, Asmo, and Kas since the first book. And I'm always ready for some FFM.

“I bow for no man… let me know when you’re ready to get on your knees for me.”

Charming as Hell is the third standalone novel in the interconnected Charming series. It is an enjoyable and spicy read, perfect for the witchy season with has a cast of demons who inhabit hell: the Princess of Hell, heir to the throne, Mara; the head torturer, Elvor; the sweet and needy, Judd; and the hold-out, second hand to Lucifer, Toth. This book contains some darker elements, but I would not classify it as a dark read.

Mara is a complicated character. Abandoned on earth, she is forced to jump from body to body until her father, Lucifer, discovers her and creates her corporal form. She is harboring anger and deep-seated feelings of not belonging and rejection. She wants to claim her independence - a move that drives her behavior and interactions with others. She needs love. She needs acceptance.

Thank goodness for the demons who fall for her and teach her she is worth so much more than she has come to expect. Elvor and Judd are as all-in as you can get, almost loving her from their first meetings. I loved their mix of tenderness and possession. Judd is an absolute sweetheart of a character, giving me total golden retriever vibes. Toth, on the other hand, is abrasive and controlling. Qualities that make having a relationship complicated.

This is an insta-lust and high-steam read with little initial relationship building. The friendships come second, with the characters eventually forming strong bonds outside their initial attraction. There are LOADS of claimings and declarations of “mine” throughout, plus a memorable “make it fit” moment. Some of the MMCs have perfected the art of dirty talk (always a favorite in my eyes). There are MF, MFM, MMF scenes, and more.

We end with hints of the next book, finally getting Stevie’s story.

Genre: Paranormal Romance
Tropes/Features: Some darker elements, demons, Hell, grumpy/sunshine, age gap, all in MMCs, stabby princess of Hell FMC, war between angels and demons, sword crossing, make-it-fit, group scenes
Narrator: Multiple 1st Person POV
Relationship Type: Why Choose MMFM, fast burn (insta-lust), spicy
Book Type/Ending: Book three in the Charming series, HEA for FMC and her men; overall story arc continues in the next book

Thank you Sarah for the arc of this book!

I’m really enjoying these books! The idea of the Devil and his demons wreaking havoc in every world out there is a lot of fun and I love the overall plot that has been developed since the first book in this series. And this plot could be the clash of the titans kind of epic, which I’m so excited about.

“It’s time to finally embrace being the princess of Hell and wreak havoc on anyone who thought they could take advantage of me.”

I love the unhingedness and the morally gray aspects of the characters and what is considered good and evil. And Mara incorporates everything unhinged, devious and menacing- which is a treat. She’s the daughter, Princess of Hell, and heir apparent for the throne, what do you expect? What I didn’t expect what just how deeply emotional this would get. Mara’s struggles with knowing who she is, her abandonment issues and Daddy issues were all profoundly depicted. It all made sense for how she has been acting. She was putting on a mask of confidence but underneath she was a bit insecure and in need of love. My heart hurt for her and how she was thinking how unworthy she was of love. It was reassuring to follow her journey of accepting herself and getting to know just who she is. It was heartwarming to see how her relationship with Lucifer got mended throughout the book, and how much Elvor, Judd and Toth played a part in Mara’s healing.

“I want to kill him, slap him in the face, and then ride it.”

Speaking of, these characters are complicated and well rounded. Elvor, the warrior fae of few words, was such an immovable rock. He just oozed safety which is a contrast to his place in Hell as the torturer in the pit. I don’t know, he was just such a big beast that I wanted to snuggle- precious! Judd, the sad, lonely and sweetest guy ever, also brought a safety for Mara. An emotionally reassuring kind, which made Mara bloom. He was so adorably sweet. Toth on the other hand, the right hand man to the Devil, was something else. The bickering and clash between him and Mara was deliciously entertaining. He was stubborn and grumpy and Mara knew every single one of his buttons to push that made him loose his mind. The sexual tension between them was palpable. I don’t know what it was with Toth, aka Daddy, but I was swooning! Who am I kidding? It was totally the Daddy kink and the bully element of the banter between him and Mara. Not to mention his obsession with Mara. Absolutely delicious!

“He ripped his soul apart to be with me, and it’s the type of devotion I never thought I would have.”

I loved how effortless and easy the dynamic between Elvor, Mara and Judd were. They made sense in an unexpected way. It felt natural and genuine. So so sweet. The incorporation of Toth in the mix was interesting, but inevitable.

This was a fun and exciting read, filled with hilarious banter, heartwarming moments, gut wrenching moments of doubts and deviously smutty, toe curling scenes- absolutely delicious!

I’m so excited for the next installment in this series!

4.5⭐️ I think this is my favorite yet of the series. These characters were bananas and violent, and I loved them. Plus the author sprinkles in so many hilarious elements (Dance Mom airing constantly in Hell? 🤣). Can't wait for Stevie's books! 🙏

They want me despite my faults.

I actually listened to the audiobook while highlighting in the e-book. Charming As Hell is funny, steamy, and emotional. There is a bit of war in this one, so it gets a bit more bloody and violent than the other books do, but if you enjoy supernatural stories, then I think a little bloodshed is par for the course. The voice actors did an amazing job in this one. I swear they are the most perfect people for this series and hopefully if more books come out, they narrate because they both knock it out of the park every time.

“Let me know when you’re ready to get on your knees for me.”
-Uhm… this is Mc Donalds. Jk, I LOVED IT.
I loved Mara’s story from previous books and now I feel like my life is complete. She was left on earth, all alone, jumping from body to body… No matter how strong someone can be, they still need love.
The way they showered her with spiciness and affection just made me flutter from the inside out.
Elvor, Judd and Toth just seem like the perfect combo for her brokenness, and don’t even get me started on the whole “mine” thing!
I’m such a sucker for claiming! 🤌🏻
Where can one order these four from? Asking for a friend.

Okay, I'm not gonna lie to you guys... I did not like Mara during the first 40% of this book. She just wasn't what I had expected, I personally wasn't vibing with her personality and inner thoughts, but she had some character development, her behaviour was explained and I grew to like her a little bit more in the end.

This book is very fast paced, easy to read and very much insta love. This book is mainly character driven which is why I think everything felt like it was going very fast.
And there were some very funny moments and scenes that had me laughing out loud!

I liked all of the mmc's (this is a 'why choose', there's 3) but my favourite was definitely Judd, he was just so sweet and reminded me of a little puppy half the time.

I'm more of a slow burn type of girl but this book is great as a spicy palette cleanser, very spicy!

I can't wait for the next book in this series with that ending, my jaw was on the floor!

Thank you so much to the author for providing me with an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

*ARC review i received a free copy, all thoughts are my own*

okay i’m going to be honest and say that i skimmed Blair’s book and SUPER skimmed Lucifer’s because i don’t like children with ow and Lucifer was slinging his thing ALL around and didn’t even know he had another daughter. and i KNOW that was like a big plot point for not only his book, but also the series, but i’m sensitive and don’t like it 😂 HOWEVER that daughter’s book is my favorite in the series! also to add that this can be read as a standalone even if there is a cliffhanger for the overall plot, it’s easy to piece everything together.

Mara just wants to be loved and adored and worshipped. same girl. she has been bouncing from body to body until Daddy Lucifer gave her her own as the Princess of Hell.

She’s super jealous of Blair’s relationship with their dad and can’t help but feel like she doesn’t really belong there. One thing i loved about Mara was just how badass she is. some of my favorite examples are:

•“accidentally” killing a bitch demon because she was upset and hated her voice and shoving her in a closet.

•killing a vampire for trying to flirt with one of her men

•she has shadows 😏😏😏 and boy does she use them

•making a Dance Mom type pyramid rating system for her boyfriends

now i will say i was a little weary to read this at first because i always fear ow drama so a little safety info:
Toth (Lucifer’s right hand and the grumpy grump of the group) it’s been months.
Elvor(torture pit master and sexy big fae) it’s been centuries and he knew Mara was his just from hearing stories about her
Judd(sweet baby drug dealer of Hell) like hardly ever, possible never in his demon form because he’s a shy sad boy

ZERO ow at all, ever.

These men were so gone for Mara and i loved that Judd and Elvor found comfort in each other 🥰 i love a good MMFM

can we just take a moment to talk about how much of a BITCH Mara’s mom was!??!? she wasn’t even in the story for long and i hated her so much. she deserved a bigger punishment.

3.5 ⭐️ first of all, this book is so funny. i have multiple paragraphs highlighted in my kindle that actually made me laugh out loud. especially the references to dance moms😂 mara is so unhinged, morally grey (skewing more on the bad side), and absolutely hilarious. i enjoyed this book for the most part, but i didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as the first two in the series. i didn’t feel as much love in this book. while i did enjoy reading mara’s POV, she is highly unlikable for most of the book. yes, she’s a demon, and yes, not having her own body for so many years has made her mentally unstable. but she is so selfish and it feels like she really lacks feelings for most of the book. i mean that’s probably the whole point, that she is supposed to develop as a character throughout the story…and she does grow and change a bit, but it was difficult for me to connect with her.

there are three love interests in this book. that’s right, three! if you are a fan of why choose and poly romances, you will probably love this. the three love interests are all unique and charming in their own way. i personally never enjoy poly romances as much for some reason. it is probably because i am super monogamous and don’t like sharing in real life lol. my favorite love interest was toth, and throughout the whole book i just wanted mara to be with him and only him. i did love judd though, he is such a sweetheart, but he isn’t my cup of tea. elvor is also great and all, but he felt kind of boring. maybe it is because he is so quiet. i also had trouble picturing him. the book kept saying he is massive and i kept unintentionally imagining him with kronk’s build from emperors new groove and i couldn’t get it out of my head. i don’t know why my brain does this to me lol. it got a little confusing, jumping between four different POVs. sarah does a great job giving each character their own unique voice, so it isn’t too hard to differentiate them. it just feels a little all over the place.

i think one of the biggest reasons why i didn’t love this book as much as charming your dad and charming the devil is because i didn’t feel the romance very strongly. the connections between the characters feels purely sexual with little romantic development. judd and elvor just latch onto mara right away and it is kind of instalove which i found unconvincing. on the other hand, toth’s relationship with mara is a slower burn, and it takes time for their feelings to grow. their romance just felt more genuine to me, which is probably why i like them together the most.

charming as hell was still a super fun read overall, it just didn’t give me the romance i was looking for. i think i would have loved this more if i were into poly romance, but its just not my thing. but i love sarah blue’s work and i’m excited about reading anything she writes! i believe the next book is another poly romance, and i’m still going to read it because i just love her writing.

“Hell is my home, and I love the demons I have here. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to win this thing. “

Heaven and Hell are at war and Mara takes it personal with the Angels and takes a liking for the thrill of a kill.

Mara. The Princess of Hell. A second daughter of Lucifer’s and fresh to Hell herself… she’s a little nuts. And a lot to take in.

I gotta say. I didn’t like her. I thought she was awful. 🫣
Definitely my least favorite character which is hard because she’s the main character. She’s the meat of her delicious sandwich she’s got going on with demons Judd, Toth, and Elvor… I freaking loved these guys.

This is a MFMM.

Super Natural Powers

It’s very Insta-Lusty so little relationship build-up. Once these men saw Mara, that was it. They gave her 100% loyalty.
I did find myself slower to read this one. It was hard to stay engaged but I think it was because I couldn’t stand Mara.

This author is incredible and I absolutely love every book of hers that I’ve read, I just didn’t love this one. I still highly recommend this series! 3.5⭐️

I love Mara with my entire heart. She took the girl crush concept to the next level! Ugh, listen, I love a good take-no-bulldog FMC but i have a hard time because, sadly, more often than not they radiate pick me energy however that wasn’t the case with Mara. We start with her trying to find herself, who is she? Does she have anyone really supporting her? Is she worthy of love? Her journey was beautiful. A lot of questions got their respective answers, like regarding Maria’s mother (not a fan) and her role in Hell. I think it was quite obvious she was powerful however she surprised me because dang talk about being destructible, Terminator who ?! Lol.
Judd stole my heart. I didn’t get the impression of him being a shy guy, like, I was expecting him to be the troublemaker but it couldn’t have been more different! I wanted to hug him so bad, he deserves all the love and to feel appreciated. It was super cute to see Mara being soft with him, I get it girl I too would cuddle the efe out of him. Which bring me to Elvor… Elvor would you pleaaaase chase me too? Thank you. Anyways, lol, Elvor had me smirking quite a few times because that elf was hilarious without even trying. I support when men don’t talk more than necessary looool. He was so hot, his presence brought a perfect balance IMO to Mara & Judd, even to Toth. He was genuinely such a delight to read and omg so handsome too. Now Toth, I would have love to read more of him, although I understand the reasoning behind his demeanour I was surprised to see it took a lot of time and action to get him to admit his attraction (Mara too lol). Overall, Mara gets the best of both worlds as in I believe she gets to switch, if you know what I mean, and finally feels appreciated and loved. I loved the cameos omg the scene where Mara gets a pet, one of my favourites 💖.

Mara is the most unhinged, yet lovable fmc of the series! She was the unhinged mystery in the previous books, and I have never been more excited for a FMC’s story. Mara’s childhood was heartbreaking. Her distrust in Lucifer, her men, and even herself was gut wrenching. I was so shocked at the twist of who her mother was, but thoroughly enjoyed her end! I didn’t think I could love a demon more than I love Dax or even Lucifer, until I met Toth, Elvor, and Judd. Judd is by far the sweetest thing to ever be in hell and every woman’s dream. The push and pull between Mara and Toth kept me biting my nails down to nubs! I couldn’t get enough of these men and was heartbroken for it to end! Elvor was a man of few words in the series, until he meets Mara. I didn’t think a demon speaking to only me could be a turn on, until Elvor. This is by far my favorite story out of the series!
