A bit of a scoundrel...
Mrs Wellington is sure her husband is up to his old tricks... 20 years, she's accepted his inability to keep his hands off his employers money, but with a gift of the gab, he's always managed to talk himself into a new job... this time, he appears to be shamelessly taking another woman around as his wife... Mrs Wellington has a chance to start again with her daughters in Scotland and could Clara just help her decision by finding out what he's really up to...
Poor Mrs Wellington has a shock coming when the case becomes rather more "where is Emily Potter" than "has Mr Wellington been cheating"
Can Clara, O'Harris, and Tommy help the Inspector find Emily Potter and catch the guilty party... all in time for Clara's nuptials...

Better than the previous book.
I quite enjoyed this one! It had a good storyline. However, there were many mistakes by the police! As Mr Wellington had no right to Emily's cottage( she owned it NOT him and he wasn't married to her or even related) why would they need his permission to enter it when she went missing? They wouldn't! Also why didn't they stop her bank account so he couldn't keep forging cheques in her name? Furthermore, surely when he admitted to cutting up her body the police would NOT let him go free even if they had no evidence of him killing her! Sadly these mistakes and more let the book down. The author needs to do some research in police procedures.

This seems somewhat different from the usual Clara Fitzgerald story. This is because of two things. One: Clara is somewhat slow in solving certain parts of the mystery and two: other parts are rather more graphic than is normal in one of these stories. It was still good but it did feel different.

I cried at the end!
This was possibly one of the more gruesome Clara mysteries but there was enough going on to make me doubt who did it. Love these books hope there are more to come.

Disturbing
I have enjoyed the Clara Fitzgerald series. However I found the graphic detail contained in this book disgusting and unnecessary. I wouldn't recommend the book to anyone.

Another good one
I thought this was another very good story in this series. I have read all 32 of the Clara Fitzgerald mysteries and have not been disappointed. I cannot wait to see how the story continues after this installment. Read them....all of them. You'll be happy you did.

Another great book
Familiar characters who still delight and a very good good story even if a little gruesome, but with a very satisfactory ending.
