The title lends itself to many jokes, like eventually he'll get to the story and eventually, I'll finish reading this. An intriguing idea suffers from the author tripping over words. Points of view change in the same paragraphs. I do appreciate seeing everyone's thoughts and reactions, but it leads to mild confusion. A good editor would have polished this story that explores a lot of possibilities of the human mind and potential. I found most of it interesting. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a thriller. It plodded at first with more background than was necessary for the story. A thriller wouldn't have had so much information in the first chapters. It is worth the time to read it. I found it thought provoking, especially during the main character's interview on a national TV show. The James Bond style rescue of government held citizens with like gifting of mind control seemed clichéd, but added action. I support local authors. I found this one at the book store that carries my novels. Ironic this one costs fifteen dollars more than the best seller from at least twenty years ago that I also bought that day. Now, I am rewarding myself by reading Angela's Ashes.
