I've always been touch-starved, craving the feeling of another body against mine. Now I'm snowed in with my gorgeous best friend… And there's only one bed.

Oliver

When I agreed to hike a snowy trail with my best friend during winter break, I never thought we’d end up in a romantic couples cabin and sharing a bed. We’re supposed to stay for one night, but when a storm hits, we’re snowed in together for three days.

We’ve always been close, ever since our first year at Harper College when we got so drunk we fell asleep on a rooftop together. Three years later, we know each other’s deepest secrets. Except one.

I’ve always been touch-starved, especially when it comes to him. He makes my heart flutter, but I have to keep my feelings in check. I can’t let him know that his touch ignites me, or I’ll push him away and ruin our three years of friendship forever. Somehow, I have to keep my hands to myself. But sharing a bed is going to test me.

Snow Angel is a complete 16,000-word MM romance novella featuring friends to lovers, only one bed, and plenty of heart to melt the winter snow.

cute and cozy

This was a cute, steamy little novella, I really liked Ollie and Wes from the little bit of time we got with them. I feel like the little tiff in the end was a little out of the blue and not needed but it didn’t ruin anything for me. I still had a great time reading this story ❤️

Many thanks to the author Sierra Bennett for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Snow Angel is a short novella about two best friends stuck in a cabin during a snowstorm. There’s lots of pining, miscommunication, and spice. The writing didn’t quite catch me and Oliver was a bit too needy for my liking, but I still enjoyed this.

Tropes: friends to lovers, horse proximity
Feels: 3.5/5
Steam*: 2.5/5
Kinks: n/a
Angst: low
HEA: more of a hfn given the book spans 3 days and they've only been together two and a half days.
Pairing: MM
Triggers/potential icks/content warnings: awkwardly naive character, emotionally abusive ex, some pining, unsafe sex (they used aloe vera for lube, they certainly didn't have condoms if they didn't have lube)

Ollie and Wesley have been friends for 3 years. They met in freshman year after Ali had broken up with his boyfriend and was very vulnerable. They are 21 years old now and nearing the end of college. They go on a winter hiking trip as friends. Other friends were supposed to join but it ends up just being them. And they end up in a one-bedroom cabin due to a misunderstanding when booking. They have to share a bed because of the cold. They both obviously secretly been pining for the other person. And the sexual tension explodes and they hook up.

I'm a hard person to win over with novellas. To me, it's hard to have a story told well in a novella length book. This book was also a debut for this author. So I feel like I have to judge this book according to newbie and novella standards. With that in mind it was probably 3.5 stars but I'll round up.

This was a sweet friends to lovers short story. The physicality was well written. The physical awareness and the tension between them was good. The little touches, the movements, the significant glances and the abrupt movements conveyed the tension well. The smut was pretty well written.

The worst thing about this book was the awkward and unbelievably naive way that they questioned each other about their sexual pasts. 21-year-old men asking each other have you done more than kiss - for real?! And after Wesley tells Oliver that yes he's had sex, mostly guys, some girls, Ollie asks him, what about on your own, do you touch yourself? I was just facepalming at the awkwardness and naivety. It was painful - unless you're asexual, if you have a dick, you're going to touch it.

To me, this book sounded like it was about 17-year-olds rather than 21-year-olds. Just based on the mentality of the characters, particularly Ollie. The characters were juvenile but I'm blaming this on creative choices the author made about who these characters are as people.

Some notable moments:

I liked the physical awareness here. "I watch him in the dim light as I undress. First my jacket, then the undershirt, and finally the vest I wore on Wesley’s request. Lifting my hips, I’m unbuckling my belt when I hear a sharp inhale, and a large hand slams over mine, stopping me. I blink up at Wesley. “What are you doing?” His eyes are wide, disheveled hair falling over his forehead."

There's something about impulsively straddling someone and gently pushing up their shirt. Ollie is so innocently horny. Yum. "I want nothing more than for him to feel as good as I did. Without thinking, I force myself to sit up despite the lethargy coating my limbs and straddle his thighs. Absently, I use my clean hand to push up his sleep shirt to expose his tight stomach, watching his abs flex with each thrust. He looks good spread out like this. “What— what are you doing?” Wesley says. “Watching,” I say. “You look amazing.”"

*FYI about steam: I rate steam based on a combination of quality & quantity. I note kink separate from steam because I don't want to underrate steamy reads that don't have much kink.

**Note about spoilers: I like to comment on the plot of a book in reviews, so I almost always mark my reviews as containing spoilers. But I try to avoid spoiling the big dramatic moments! As a reader, I personally like to know what I'm getting into before I read a book so I know more about the content and if it's to my taste/mood, so I try to give that information in my reviews for myself when I'm considering rereading and also for other readers.

This was a really sweet and quick friends to lovers novella! I have to say it didn’t really caught me right away since I read the one bed trope countless of time but I like they setting and the characters just fine! I just wished for a bit more deepness.

Snowed In-Only One Bed

DNF @ 49%

I promised myself I was only going to read books on my top TBR or most anticipated shelves for the rest of the year and then I get this free and pick it up instead. 🙄🙄🙄 Honestly I am my own worst enemy. Turns out this was the author’s debut and sadly it shows.

This is only from one POV and he annoyed the hell out of me being so damn oblivious. This is about best friends who go hiking and have rented a cabin but there’s a mix up and they get the honeymoon suite. I can’t remember either of their names 🤷🏻‍♀️ but the one whose POV we are in is super awkward and even though he’s supposedly 21, he comes across like he’s 16 and it just makes this kind of cringy when he’s hot for his bestie. He keeps doing things by accident that are turning his friend on and his friend is trying to be polite about it but I can tell he’s about to break.

There’s something just too cringe about it for me and I’m going to save myself now. This is most likely a me problem and not the book so I’m not rating it.

I received an ARC and I gobbled this shit up in 40 mins tops😭
Very short and cute story with elements of pining from both characters except both are so fucking clueless I fought the urge to roll my eyes.
For a debut Novella, I had fun and I’m so freaking excited to read more from this author hopefully with the other characters we met here.

Oliver & Wesley
Rating: 3.5 ⭐

- Snowed-In
- Best Friends-to-Lovers
- Only One Bed
- Size Difference
- Close Proximity
- First Times
- Bisexual MC

This a short story with an oblivious Oliver going on a hiking trip with his best friend Wesley. Oliver didn't quite pay attention when he did the cabin booking and they ended up getting a honeymoon cabin, with only one bed. Oliver is freaking out about telling his friend and Wesley is acting weird. The trip is three days long and Oliver being touch starved, especially wanting Wesley's touch, is going to have make it work with them in the same bed.

These two have been friends for three years and met at a party for a mutual friend. The same day they met, Oliver's abusive ex broke up with him and he hasn't really gotten over the trauma yet, although he thought he did. Since this is a short story, you don't get to see the pining that occurred over that time but you get a vague sense based on their actions. I know it's a novella but it would've helped to get Wesley's POV during their trip because he had been holding himself back for years just waiting for Oliver to finally be ready for him. It's a sweet friends-to-lovers story with a little tension and some heat.
"Looking back on it, we've practically been together for three years, never leaving each other's side. I feel safe around him like I do with nobody else, I was just too scared to see it before. Being near him feels right and I want to chase that for as long as I can."

4.0 🌟 LIGHT, QUICK READ.

Snow Angel is a refreshing quick read, filled with fuzzy feelings, cute “tension” moments, oblivious MC, and bottled up feelings. It was a breeze through my April reads, as I welcome my very first ARC ❤️
The story is about our dear, very oblivious and clumsy Oliver, who accidentally books a cabin with only one bed for his hiking trip with his best friend, Wesley. Oh, and it’s snowing!
I personally think the snow brought so much warmth to the story, making snow angels is truly a core memory. Wesley, even though sometimes blunt, always made sure to take care of Oliver. Despite the mini-trip being the plot, the connection that formed between them was very clear, and sweet.
I’m afraid the feelings came through as a tad bit rushed. Seems like their relationship developed quite quick, in the three-day trip. Nonetheless, it was an amazing light read.
I am delighted that this is my first ARC received, and I’m happy to share my honest review! ❤️

I'm not really sure where to start with this, so I'll dive right in.

I received Snow Angel as an ARC, which I was very excited about because the tropes and synopsis sounded right up my alley. I'm usually not a fan of novellas, due to the lack of character development that inherently comes with them. However, I was willing to give it a shot and see how I liked it.

The writing was decent, definitely inline with what you'd expect from a debut author. Lots of good imagery, and I was really able to put myself in the world of Oliver and Wesley. However, about 20 pages in, I found myself thinking, "I swear I've read this exact story before." I wrote it off as similar tropes being paired together, and I pressed on with the rest of the book. However, as the story got closer to the climax, I realized that I already knew exactly what was going to happen next. Snow Angel's plot runs parallel with another novella that I read a few months ago called "A Tent for Two" by Milana Spencer.

Now, I want to give the benefit of the doubt to the author and just say the overlapping tropes were the cause for this, as the setting and character names were different in each novella. Unfortunately, the plot and even the idiosyncrasies of each MC had direct overlap between the two stories in a way I haven't experienced before as an avid MM romance reader.

I won't go into the details of the specific similarities between the two, as it would just be a major spoiler for both novellas. I'll just say that I've read the same tropes over and over again in different novels from a multitude of authors and have never experienced this level of uncanny similarity. I don't want to come out and say this was an instance of the "p-word" because I can't be certain in that claim and it's not my place, really.

I usually wouldn't go out of my way to write a review for something that I didn't love, but since I received this novella as an ARC, I felt obligated to give my unbridled thoughts and opinion. With all the negatives aside, I do feel that Sierra Bennett certainly has promise in her writing, and I hope that she continues forward in her journey.

This started out kind of cute but then it tapered off and the characters feel unbearably young. They're supposed to be in college but Ollie's POV "voice" makes him sound like he's 15 and it's just too strange. It's a super short read that I probably could have just finished, but I have so many other things on my TBR right now.

Tropes and content warnings at the bottom of this review.

Snow Angel is Sierra Bennett's debut novella and what a debut it is!

Snow Angel is an MM friends to lovers, forced proximity, only one bed romance with a smidgen of hurt/comfort vibes thrown in there.

Our MC's Oliver and Wesley are college best friends going on a hiking trip and there's a mistake with their lodge, there's only one bed, whoops, whatever will happen? 😏👀 This novella is short, oh so tooth rottingly sweet and a little bit spicy too 🥵

I listed one of the tropes as "oblivious idiots in love" from when I used to see that tag a lot in my fanfic days, because it's oh so accurate and quite funny to say.

This is a fantastic debut novella by Sierra Bennett, I can't wait to see what she gives us next. This will be a great read for everyone wanting to give MM romance a go for the first time, as a palette cleanser between heavy reads or just as a quick and easy read. It's relatively light hearted with just a few minor content warnings, that I've listed below:
Depictions of an MC with anxiety
Mentions of an ex cheating, past
Mentions of emotional manipulation by an ex, past
On page sexual scenes
between two consenting adults; unprotected sex.

Tropes:
Friends to lovers
Oblivious idiots in love
Virgin MC
Snowed in
Forced proximity
Minor hurt/comfort
Touch starved
Only one bed
Strict roles

Happy and safe reading folks ✨

Debut novella for Sierra Bennett and it was a nice light reading.
I genuinely liked the story and the characters, I think the author had some good ideas; unfortunately my rating is low because of the execution, I feel like there were too much things unsaid or not fully explained.
I don't condemn the author's choice to have only Oliver's POV, I quite enjoyed it actually, but it was difficult to connect with some aspects of Wesley's personality, especially because he's a very private person and it's not clear why he always kept a certain distance from Oliver, despite they've been best friends since they met. I didn't get exactly why he thought Oliver wasn't ready for him and why he waited years to make a move.

There are some other aspects that should have been deepened, like Oliver's relationship with his ex and the scars he left, for example. It seemed that there were too many tropes (forced proximity, only one bed, miscommunication, it's always been you), but the story remained superficial.

I'm confident this author will improve her style and I'm surely going to read the next stories of this series.

I received an ARC of this book from the authors and this is my honest review.

Going in blind.

Decided to read some short LOW STARRED erotic stories to freshen up things. Been so busy with work that it’s kinda hard to finish and focus on long 200+page books.

Also I wouldn't feel guilty reading like 5 -10 pages on a low rated short story.

Sidenote: I'm gonna finish these short stories much longer, these stories are meant to just be read when I get tired of reading the long novel I’m currently reading or when the current long book I'm reading isn't really engaging me.
I just want to be clear that these novellas aren't a priority read and just meant to freshen my mind up.

I’m also not expecting much from these novellas, that's why I'm picking low starred ones, although it'd be a good surprise if I actually find good ones.

---

Stupid that he's not telling his friend Wesley about the one bedroom cabin he accidentally rented.

Also I gotta say I love this vibe, hiking up a snowy trail in Oregon to get to a cabin. Also love this last stop convenience store they're at. They should buy lots of snacks.

So cute how close they are, Wesley just randomly gifting our guy a box of fresh drawing supplies. Oliver hugging Wesley too long. Adorable.

Really good gift for any artist. NO JOKE! ALL ARTIST GET SO FUCKING GIDDY IN HAVING A NEW FRESH PENCIL SET.

Love how much they're blushing at each other.

Ah! There's a snowstorm coming. I hope they have hot chocolate.

---

Really too bad their friends aren't here to be with them.

I like how much Olivier admires Wesley's dream of climbing the political ladder and changing the world.

Funny how these short stories always have the MCs obvious crush on each other.
Wesely obviously being silently jealous of what Oliver did in his past relationships.

I like how naturally touchy Oliver is with all his friends. Reminds him that he's not alone.

So dumb that he's using efficiency and to conserve body heat as an excuse so that they can share bed… JUST BE HONEST AND TELL THAT YOU FUCKED UP!

I like their size difference. Oliver wondering what it's like to be completely wrapped in Wesley's arms. MUST FEELS SO LOVED AND SAFE.

I love these small flashbacks of times they had together in the past.
Their time at the beach, Oliver really admiring. Wesley's body as he swims, as he lays in the shade. His sketchbook filled with doodles of Wesley.

Aww, Wesley holding Oliver's hand leading him up towards their cabin. Cute.

---

Cabin looks okay.
Love the classic couch in front of the fireplace.

HOLY SHIT! THEY HAVE HOT CHOCOLATE! Pretty sweet!

Haha, Wesley's so like cautious towards Oliver. Stopping him when he was about to taking off his pants to change to warm dry clothes.

Lmao, Wesley surprised with the little moan Oliver let out with how delicious the hot choco is.
HE'S DOWN BAD!

So adorable that head rubbing is like a thing for them. Although they don't really do it. They both still remember that Wesely did it for him the night they met when Oliver was messed up after breaking up with his shot boyfriend.

LMFAOOO! BOTH GETTING CARRIED AWAY.
Wesely going too far and rubbing Ollie's face.
And Oliver HAHA just letting Wesley's fingers slip in his mouth.
They're so ridiculous.

Nice that Wesley's fine with sharing a bed.

So they're staying up here for 3 days.
I hope they have board games or other things to play together.

I personally would plan a DND campaign for this trip NOW THAT WOULD BE SO MUCH FUN!

So adorable how Oliver really wants to make a snow angel. Although I personally would since the sun is setting. Best time to play with snow is in the mornings.

Cute how they're just playing in the snow and throwing snowballs at each other.

Really loving this quiet attraction between them. Having these extreme close contact with each other. AND I'M TELLING YOU, WESELY IS READY TO POUNCE!!!

I really like their view of the side of the mountain covered with snow dotted with tall green pine trees.
Oliver can't wait to use Wesley's gift to draw the scenery.

Love that they're eating shitty canned pasta.haha.

Jesus! Oliver feeling hot in the belly getting ready for bed. CALM DOWN!

Wow, a blizzard is raging outside as they get ready for bed. LOVE THIS VIBE.

Pretty nice that Wesley keeps assuring him how he doesn't mind sharing a bed with him and that he should've just told him that he got the cabin wrong.

Haha, Wesley suggesting to face each other for heat…sure.
Lmao, straight up cuddling Oliver. AHHH MUST BE SUPER COZY.

LMFAOO!!! I'm sorry but the way Oliver just can't stop himself from moaning as Wesley squeezee his hip is funny.
AND EVEN ADMITTING IT TURNED HIM ON! Lmao

They're actually talking about whether Wesley's had sex or not, AS WESELY IS CUDDLING HIM WITH THE LIGHTS TURNED ON.
Funny how he desperately want to know this.

Hahaha weird ass question. Wanting to know if he ever touched himself alone. He's an adult Oliver…

OH SHIT THEY'RE GOING AT IT!
Hahaha Oliver's so adorable blurting out how big Wesely is, then saying sorry and doesn't know why he said it hahaha. He's cute.

I like how ready and eager they are for each other. And already kissing! Okay.

Pretty cozy they fell asleep cuddling together.

Ahhhh! Them under the covers in bed while a blizzard is raging outside. Really reminds me of a time in Japan where I was cozied up in a futon and I tell you THE THICK ASS BLANKET WAS OTHERWORLDLY! IT WAS SO FUCKING WARM!

---

46 pages in.
Wonderful morning to wake up to. Oliver making fluffy pancakes for them, coffee for Wesley and sweet hotchoco for him. All that's left is peanut butter for their pancakes and lil marshmallows for his hot choco.
I like the satisfied and settled face that Wesley's giving Oliver. He finally got with him after so long and just to be able to do these kinds of things in bed with Oliver. Cute.
It's obvious that Wesley's crush is Oliver and of course Oliver is too dense and stupid to realize.
Oh no shit! Wesley saelying that he needs a shower and that he feels disgusting...Oliver misunderstanding this as what Wesley felt a out last night... WESLEY SAID HE LIKED IT VERY MUCH YOU GOTTA UNDERSTAND THAT BEING COVERED IN YOUR CUM ALL NIGHT FEELS DISGUSTING.
---
Pretty chill they're thoroughly exploring the cabin.
Adorable how he's so hyper aware now of Wesley's touch as they search the cabin.
They found an old geetar. Nice.
Oliver's sketching Wesley cleaning the guitar.
I like this moment of them just making out on the rug beside the warm hearth.
Wow, Oliver's brave for letting Wesley flip through sketchbook dedicated only for drawings of Wesley.
HE EVEN HAS DRAWINGS OF WESLEY DEEP IN ECSTACY! oh my...
Of course Wesley would like them. Saying how Oliver made him look like an underwear model.
Uuhhh....here we go, Wesley's describing his crush again, how his kissed them 3 times and is his new fave thing.
Oliver being dumb and oblivious.
Lmao! Wesley can't believe that Oliver didn't get that he was his crush.
So Wesley wanted to kiss him the first time they met at that party and realized he has feelings for him a few months later.
OHMYFUCKINGGOD!!! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS OLIVER???!!!!!!
SAYING THAT HE ONLY LIKES HIM AS A FRIEND BECAUSE HE'S PUSSY THAT WESLEY MIGHT LEAVE HIM WHEN HE GETS TOO MUCH FOR THEM!
FUUUUCK YOU OLIVER! You have been best friends for years WESELY KNOWS HOW YOU GET AND STILL HE LIKES YOU FOR IT!
---
SHIT! I'm really worried something bad happened to Wesley.
He's still not back as Oliver eats and actually think about their relationship with new light.
Remembering how they met at that party and how Wesley was so focused on him and interested on every word he was saying.
Hmmm, okay! He's realized that he likes Wesley more than just a friend and he's gonna go after him on the sowy trails.
---
I love this end of the trail hike view they got. Mountains covered with snows filled with tall pines as the setting sun paints them orange.
OOOHH!!!!! I WOULD BE FUCKING PISSED IF I WAS WESLEY!!!!
Of course Wesley's too nice to say shit to him.
WEAK EXCUSE USING HOW YOUR EX BOYFRIEND TREATED YOU FOR REJECTING WESLEY.
YOU GOTTA FUCKING KNOW BY NOW THAT WESLEY'S SOOO FUCKING DIFFERENT THAN YOUR SHITTY EX. YOU WATCH AND EVEN SKETCHED HIM FOR YEARS AND YOU STILL DON'T GET THIS??!!
Disappointed with Oliver.
AGAIN, WESLEY'S TOO NICE! Just accepting the apology and everything's good.
I think would have pretended to think about it then walk back alone to the cabin and just stay quiet for the last day we're here AND THEN ACCEPT HIS LOVE AT THE END OF THE LAST DAY AT THE CABIN.
THAT WOULD BE FUNNY AND SATISFYING ngl...

---

That was ok.
Oliver pissed me off a bit but I'm glad they got together in the end.

Oliver was in a bad relationship and was broken up with the same night he met Wesley. They became best friends and go on hiking trips once a year.

Ollie accidentally books a cabin with only one bed. He finds Wes attractive but is trying to tamper it down and feels bad about his mistake.

Wes has been in love with Oliver for a long time. He was just waiting until Ollie was in a better place after his bad relationship.

Being snowed in the cabin results in them having to spend a lot of time together and neither of them can hide their attraction anymore!

I usually avoid novellas because it's really hard to write a short story that doesn't end up rushed in some way but this one was done well enough! It was a cute, low angst read and perfect if you want something short!

"Being near him feels right and I want to chase that for as long as I can." - Oliver

This novella is all in Oliver's POV, I think this novella was repeating the same information, again and again. For a 60 page novella that was very annoying. If this book had POV's with Wesley or if there were different activities or feeling this could have been better. I'm just disappointed. I couldn't really get into it or be interested.

Hey I'm one of your arc readers. I have finished my arc for the book Snow Angel. I really loved the book, it was cozy, a little bit spicy because of the sexual tension. I love how clueless Oliver is and how they both loved each other for years. If I'm being honest I'm a little bit disappointed that Wesley wasn't a virgin anymore. He said he loved Oliver for years and waited until he was ready. In my opinion it would have been cute if he waited for his first time, that it is something special between them. That he waited for Oliver with his whole heart and body.
I loved this small story. I think the storyline is funny. Oliver booking a room for two but not knowing that it had one bed. Poor Oliver for having a heart stroke at this moment. Oliver thinking Wesley doesn’t want to go on their trip if he knew they would share a bed.
I also liked the fact that Wesley is bigger in size then Oliver. It is funny to read how Wesley looked above Oliver. Oliver is a little bit clueless but how he asked those little questions and with shame was adorable. Wesley being the quiet bestfriend but the one being dominant in the bedroom was hot to read.
I’m not a big fan of bestfriend to lovers trope, but this was a nice book.
I would recommend it to others, because it is such a sweet book for beginners.
A dark romance book what I also love to read isn’t a book to start with if you want to read MM.
I think your book is a nice book to start with. It gives a little bit spice, it is a cute story, no things to give triggers for. I think I’m not the only one liking this book.
A one bed trope is always funny. Most of the time I read it with enemies to lovers, because it is funny but this trope with bestfriends is also funny to read. How awkward they are around each other, how they go closer to each other for heat, I loved it.

I've been trying REALLY hard not to fall into the targeted adds and booktoks...I might have failed on this one. This one? Sierra Bennett's "Snow Angels." It's the first in her Close Quarters series.

This book was "inspired by" Milana Spencer's "A Tent For Two." It was just as cute and sweet and utterly clueless as the original, just set in the snowy mountains as opposed as the Australian beaches.

Just like with "A Tent For Two," Oliver's crush, confusion over his crush, and Wesley's feelings were all very obvious. Oliver's confusion and trepidation was a little frustrating, but in the end, they figured it out. ;)

Okay, off to TRY to get back on track with my ARCs and my TBRs, and NOT binge-read Sierra's other works...

This is such a wee angsty hot read! Sierra Bennett’s debut Novella was an amazing introduction into her future works of arts. Ollie and Wes are best friends and complete Idiots! But of course they are so cute! With a wee weekend hike and an unexpected snow storm. What ever could go wrong! With only one bed and a weekend on isolation some truths come to light for Wes and Ollie and they discover there may be more than just friendship between them. A few scenes had me kicking my feet and giggling.

This Novella is angsty, funny, sweet and swoon worthy. Ollie is a nerdy little golden retriever and Wes is a strong caring alpha wanting to look after and protect Ollie. These boys will capture your heart in this first chapter and not let go until the last sentence.

I hope to read more of these boys in the future and more of Sierras work.

Sierra Bennett dedicates her first novella ‘Snow Angel’ ‘To anyone looking for sunshine, even in the midst of snow’ and that really sums this book up. It’s a little sunshiny gem.

Oliver and Wesley are on their annual friends hike, but it’s only the two of them this time round. Oliver has booked the accommodations, it’s the romantic retreat cabin, but hey, it was an accident, Wesley will understand. Right?!

It’s a heartwarming story of two friends, snowed in with only each other and their feelings to keep them warm. There’s all the swoony tropes here. Friends to lovers, sexual awakening, only one bed (a personal favourite of mine). It has a little bump or two in the road to romance but the HEA is sweet and satisfying.

It’s a cute quick read, but the story doesn’t feel rushed, the character development is great for a novella, and the author has a great talent for descriptive writing. I love being able to imagine the details of a book, and I definitely got that with Sierra. I definitely want to read more from this author.

This is an ARC review and my honest opinion

this was a cute novella! i was interested due to the tropes and am grateful i received an arc. these are my honest thoughts. :)

i do not read novellas often but have been trying it out lately and have enjoyed the ones i’ve read. this is sierra’s debut novella and it is quite sweet!

oliver & wesley are going on a trip together. oliver is in charge of the hotel, which he somehow messes up the booking and they end up with a one bedroom cabin with no heat. oh no, what ever shall they do? 😏 snuggling, spicy times, and more ensue.

this was enjoyable. i felt it was rushed at times but i feel it is hard to make a novella seem NOT rushed. i did not totally love the miscommunication towards the end as i feel it took away from the ending of the story, but other than that this was done well.

thank you sierra! ☺️
