Storm clouds gather in my mind My jealousy consumes me, so unkind I long to hold you close and near But you'll never be mine, it's crystal clear And in my heart, I fear it's true I'll never capture your attention, no matter what I do
A beauty so rare, a heart so kind, I envy the one who's always on your mind Her smile, her laugh, her every move I can't help but feel the jealous groove
I long for your gaze, your recognition But I fear I'll forever be in silent disposition I'll never be the one you desire, My jealousy burns like a raging fire.

Seven Rue is an international bestselling author. Born and raised in a small town by the Lake of Constance in Switzerland, she loves writing books that not only make hearts melt but also push limits. i think this will be my last Seven Rue read. Seven hypes up her books before release in a great way, she knows how to pull you in and make you want to read her books. she also has incredible ideas, ideas that no one would dare write and i love her braveness to do so. however, i’ve noticed a pattern with her books, i don’t like how she executes her ideas. for example, this book. the start was great, the overall idea pulled me in, i liked the main characters, but the turning point was weak. i wish she took her time with the change of feelings from the mmc, in my opinion, it felt more like (AND SPOILER) “one’s dead so on to the next” rather than seeing him actually change and fall in love with Caia, i also wish we saw more realization and action towards the way Sly (mmc) treated Caia (fmc) before and after “loving” her. i would have loved to see some more regret from the mmc for how he treated the fmc (even as a sister) or see him desperate and obsessed with her in the way he was with his other sister. i just wish we got more of his love for her so it made sense rather than what i read which made it seem like their relationship was an “only option” from his end. in other words, i felt like we didn’t get to see the change with Sly and why he started loving Caia aside from the fact that Wavel died.
this is something i’ve noticed in most of her books that i’ve read, and i admit i haven’t read many, but i don’t think it’s fair to the author (and my precious time) to continue reading her books and give low ratings if i don’t like how she goes about her own ideas.
I liked sevenrue because she’s ballsy and takes forbidden at its very definition and peak…in her past books and she never fails me with her mmc because they are as obsessed with their partner as the fmcs are.
But this book just wasn’t it. I hated Caia and wished him death 😭
Me dio mucho asco, no sé.
I don’t usually read Seven Rue for safety reasons, but I rolled the dice on this one- and I was pleasantly surprised! Just a fair warning, this book is EXTREMELY messy, dark and taboo
-Virgin h -Brother/ sister 🩸 - Enemies-to-Lovers -Obsessed h -Love triangle w/other sister -Hate-to-love
Trigger warning
-death of side character -Mentions of suicide
Caia is obsessed with her older brother but her older brother is obsessed with caia’s twin sister. Like I said, very messy

She really goes down the rabbit hole of trauma and mental health. Seriously disturbed main characters.
The more depraved, the better her writing gets. now what I find interesting is the fact so many of her readers are leaving bad reviews. Like, come on, this is probably one of her more realistic reads. and OK, this is her first time using the bully trope. But I’ve read a lot of bully romances in my day, and this is pretty much how they go. Also, for everyone complaining that she was second best, and that he didn’t really develop a true love for her by the end, that’s exactly the point! They are both sick in the head. They say it throughout the entire book.
Not to mention, she lists all these triggers very clearly at the beginning. So if you are dumb enough to read the book knowing well it’s going to offend you, then that’s your own problem.
The premise of this book is chefs freaking kiss. We have twin sisters Wavel and Caia, their big brother Sly, and this perfect little love/obsession triangle. Caia is in love/obsessed with Sly, but Sly treats Caia like she’s trash and he’s in love/obsessed with Wavel. Wavel doesn’t feel the same, so Sly uses Caia and she agrees to be his Wavel.
The following would have made this book a 5 star read:
- Wavel catches Sly and Caia while they’re having seggs and hears Sly calling Caia Wavel and is mortified.
- Caia murders Wavel out of jealousy and nobody ever knows it was her, perhaps she is able to make it look like it was the internet boyfriend.
- Sly continues to treat Caia as his Wavel and stays deluded, never falling in love with Caia herself, only ever seeing her as Wavel, and Caia goes along with it because she is just desperate while it kinda eats her soul over time.
- Refinement in the seggs scenes, as some of them were kinda worded cringe. It was almost enough to make me DNF but I was too obsessed with the premise.
Obviously I’m a dark romance reader though so that’s why I’d really prefer that the book had gone the above ways, but it was a good book nonetheless, just wish it was a bit more toxic and twisted.💚

Caia & Wavel are identical twins and they have a brother, Sly. You may think they all get treated fairly but that’s not the case. Caia has always been mistreated and Wavel has been the favorite child. And it bothers her the most coming from her brother, Sly. See.. Caia is obsessed with Sly. She wants him all for herself.. only one problem.. Sly is obsessed with Wavel. Caia will stop at nothing to get her brothers’ love.. in all ways…
If you’re not a taboo fan? DO NOT READ!! This book is EXTREMELY dark and taboo and even equal parts messy. It’s one really fcked up, depraved, love triangle. And the events that take place??? Oh god they’re just so dark and dirty. I’m not sure why I picked this book.. but I did read the whole thing and I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it either. Goodness I really have no boundaries.. lol
ehhh she was second best... literally ... nothing hidden also. He never lied to her face, she and everyone else knows who he truly wanted . Also making the sister go wasn't helping the matter either, i would've believed it more if she was still around he would find in his own way she wasn't it... but removing her completely from the picture didn't help. He wanted everything with the sister. a family too. to much for my liking.
Gostei do livro.
Seven rue is one of my auto buy authors and she did it again ! I went into the book completely blind and the second I started reading I was hooked, the characters and the story line is written perfectly and the plots HELL YEAH! Seven rue is the queen of taboo 🥵🥰🔥😈 Can’t wait to read her future releases
This book I went into blindly just because Seven Rue is the author. At first I felt like damn, the girl is not gonna get the man she wants and then he doesn't acknowledge her likes he does the other. But the turn of events, is something I can honestly say, I did not expect. It made me think about the story in the Bible where he want the other one but got her instead.
this is the first time i wanted a heroine to not end up with the guy she was ‘supposed to’ 🤦♀️🤦♀️ Sly’s sudden change of heart was just unbelievable. It was just not convincing enough that he got over wavel and went on to believe he was ‘mean to be’ with caia.. this book was a letdown
This book started off as a poem kind of book and then switched into a regular book??? I was really confused about the plot and there were some plot holes but overall this book isn’t so bad. It kinda reminds me of the song “Jealousy” by Olivia Rodrigo
This book is simply perfect. Taboo is just an accessory to development. I suffered for Caia as always feeling like a second option. Exciting in every detail. 💚
