Ex-SAS Colonel, Nigel Warne, learns of a plot to rob a bank. His private security company has been seconded by a shadowy Home Office department to find a particularly successful armed gang which has been carrying out robberies in the south of England. Government Intelligence has it that the gang intends to considerably up the ante and are in the market for some extra muscle and the services of an expert planner. Warne forms a unit to infiltrate the gang. Bonding the group is difficult - specials are competitive - but innate professionalism and common cause kicks in and the team is deployed. The raid is successful, but there are others who would like a share - or all - of the proceeds. Warne's company has itself been infiltrated. A deadly game of cat and mouse sees Warne's soldiers win the day - but some of the casualties are just that - his soldiers. He swears revenge.
