Life in a small town can be pretty bland, but for Alexander Tennet, life is more than just boring—it’s brutally depressing. He’s fifteen but still looks like he’s ten, he doesn’t have any friends, and the entire football team is determined to make his life hell. Without his twin sister and their awesome telepathic bond, Alex probably would have snapped ages ago. Why do they have this unusual bond? Who knows. Alex would love to ask his parents about it, but he’s never met his dad and his mother died the night she gave birth to the twins.
Despite all the difficulties, life is at least manageable. But when Alex discovers a new ability and accidentally puts a girl in a coma, he finds himself falling down a rabbit hole that may actually lead to something life-changing. Will a meeting with an enigmatic stranger finally get him the answers he’s been chasing his entire life? Or will the mysteries of his past turn out to be even less fun than fighting boredom, running from bullies, or going stag to Homecoming?
