Gavin is actually aware that Nyla is more than she appears to be, but he still agrees to be one of her bodyguards. Nyla and Gavin enter into a blood bond that will mark him not only as one of her guardian's but also as her servant, Gavin protects her with everything he has and everything he is from all the supernatural mercenaries who work for the fallen angel who is bound and determined to possess not only her body but also her soul.
Is the forbidden romance between Nyla and her loyal Hellhound Gavin save her from all the dangers of witchcraft and magic? Will Nyla's fate be her own undoing?
This book, what can I say about it, this is another one that I didn't want to ever put down or stop reading. K.A. Masterson just held my attention and didn't let it go till the end, and I can't wait till the next book.
You can tell that K.A. didn't rush in the world-building. She took her time and ensured that the entire world was built and developed fully. She didn't leave anything out. There isn't any single detail of the world left out.
The character development is amazing. I absolutely loved each and every characters personality, their sass, their strength, and even each of their weaknesses. The arc's that each of the characters walk through is brilliant. Each character is kind and unique in their own way.
And K.A. Masterson has perfectly crafted a plot for this first book that is going to have readers hooked with plots and sub-plots that are perfectly written. This is the perfect slow burn romantasy that readers should be talking about for months to come.
I honestly can't wait for book 2 in this series and find out what happens next. This series is definitely going to be going on my trophy shelf.

This paranormal romance was amazing and completely breathtaking. Nyla the amazing FMC was a woman that just wanted a wealthy stable life. Little did she know that life came with witchcraft and a blood bonded hellhound that would be eternally loyal. Gavin was a hellhound that knew Nyla was a special when he took the duty of being her bodyguard. He would protect her from any and everything that would harm Nyla. He entered a blood bonded with her. which would make him her forever servant but he don’t mind. I loved this paranormal romance so much K.A. Masterson is a the best with her characters and i love it. Witches, Hellhounds what more could a girl want. This was an easy read and i could not be more happier i found this book!!

A Paranormal Romance with Plenty of Surprises!
This was my first read by K.A. Masterson, and I was thoroughly impressed. Nyla's journey from the slums of London to becoming a central figure in a world of magic and danger was engrossing. The chemistry between her and Gavin, a hellhound Alpha, added an exciting layer to the plot, and the action sequences kept me on the edge of my seat. The world-building, with mages, fallen angels, and other paranormals, was solid and well-developed. Ugh, 😩 a cliffhanger and I would have loved more depth into some side characters, but overall, it's a captivating read! 4.5 stars.

I had the pleasure of reading this book, and I absolutely loved it. What made the experience even better was the option to listen to the audiobook while reading—it created a rich, immersive experience that drew me in from the very beginning. The plot was compelling and a refreshing change from my usual reads. The author’s descriptive writing brought the story vividly to life, and the accompanying audio was clear, well-paced, and easy to follow. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something both engaging and different.

Very enjoyable read.
This was an interesting and entertaining story. A young woman, plucked from obscurity and taken to the US as a 'stand I'm daughter to a wealthy man; find that said man has ulterior motives, and aims to use her for her supernatural powers.
Plenty of action, and the ubiquitous evil overlords, as well as a hellhound love interest, keeps the pages turning.
Worth reading.

What a fantastic read, I couldn't put it down once I picked it up. I was engrossed from start to finish. It's such a crazy journey. It's a quick read that's action packed.
Nylas world has changed and having will protect her at all costs. It's fill of twists and turns, it's spicy intriguing and interesting. It's got angst, banter, hellhounds, magic , dijinn, werewolves and more. Her and Gavin's chemistry is undeniable. I can't wait for the next book. Highly recommend!

This book is such a great read, especially for fantasy lovers. The storyline is phenomenal, it has quite some plowttwists and the charakter developement is really good as well. The slowburn with all the tension between the main charekters is amazing.

A great forbidden romance. A good quick read. The amount of world building was high but it seemed necessary. Good tension and banter. I got through it very quickly.
