Christmas in July! I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the stories in this anthology, but my review is based solely on E.L. Koslo’s story: Best Laid Plans.
This story takes place before Foreplay on Words, and I loved all the little nods towards it.
Their banter was great. I found myself constantly grinning at their back and forth.
I wish there was so much more, but I’m also pretty satisfied with what was there. The story was sweet and spicy (seriously, E.L. Koslo deserves all the awards for the dirty talk she writes). The ending felt a little short without a more solid resolution, but that’s honestly mostly me wishing for yet another book by her. They do get their HEA and my brain is good with that.
A fantastic holiday anthology with a great variety of authors!
I love an anthology when written by many different authors. Cinnamon and Spice gave me an entertaining introduction to a bunch of new authors to me and I am pleasantly surprised to find many here I can’t to explore more of!
Cruise by Nat Logan Enjoyable with a little taste of the holidays. There are so many characters here and I think this novella is an update of sorts about the characters from the Bluff Creek Brotherhood MC series while giving a drama filled story revolving around two interesting main characters. I think I need to start at the beginning and check out more of the Bluff Creek men and their strong and sassy women!
Best Laid Plans by E.L. Koslo This novella is hot, Hot, HOT with a whole lot of holiday spice, humor and a clever forced proximity style story. The attraction between these two characters is off the charts and I definitely want to check out more of E. L. Koslo’s books. I liked her writing style!
Christmas Calendar by Rachel Parks Super cute holiday themed tale about two lonely people who have pined for each other for years. This is a brother’s best friend story with a lot of holiday cheer!
Fix My Lights by Amber Warden Candy cane sweet! This is an older woman/younger man Christmas story about two lonely and a bit broken souls who find their happy holiday ever after!
Jingle Jollies by Indie Sparks I have never laughed so hard while reading! Jingle Jollies is a holiday treat with the most magical meet-cute! A little mishap, a little fate and a little kinky with a whole lot of fun!
Sleighing the Game by Lauren Fraser Sleighing the Game is a heartwarming story featuring a strong sparkling heroine with compassion and a sunshiny attitude. Our hero is a grump with a broken spirit but I loved his growth. There are some intriguing side characters here (his friends) that I would love read more about!
Slopeside Love by Sandra Martorano I love this cheery holiday girl’s trip! Snow, hot chocolate, Santa, and a whole bunch of fun and games (wink, wink) Every single character was interesting in their own unique way and I cannot wait to read more! I believe this is going to be the first book in a new series. I can’t wait!
High Rise Holiday by April Gaisford And what a holiday it is! These are fun characters with a little kinky side and the cutest pup ever. Old friends reunite, he is a total cinnamon roll and she is sassy and knows what she wants with lots of Christmas magic!
Cruise by Nat Logan Cruise & Willa get a second chance at love with the shenanigans of the Bluff Creek Beauties & the MC. With their support they right a wrong & we get so much fun as we read!
Best laid Plans by E.L. Kosol Hot & steamy Ethan & Elle give each other as good as they get. We get the banter with sizzling chemistry. A quick hot read.
Christmas Calander by Rachel Parks A cute sweetheart love that finds it way back to each other.
Fix my Lights by Amber Warden Age gap done nicely to heal a broken heart. Cute
Jingle Jollies by Indie Sparks A Christmas themed laugh out loud sexy time. You just have to laugh.
Sleighing the game by Lauren Fraser Small town charm done with with a second shot at life. Lot of good laughter.
Slopeside Love by Sandra Martorano A cute snowy love that is filled with family & friends.
High Rise Holiday by April Gaisford A whole lot of sexy times with Christmas cheers
I'm a huge Nat Logan and Bluff Creek Brotherhood fan. Her portion of the anthology is the reason I bought this book. All of the other authors in the anthology are new to me, but I've now added to my TBR list! All the stories were fabulous!
I always love a taste of Christmas in July! Nat Logan's Cruise didn't disappoint! I loved the chemistry between Cruise and Willa. Even though this was a novella, there was so much packed into this story and Nat Logan still manages to create drama for the characters to work through. I enjoyed catching up with everyone, as well as getting to know Cruise, Willa, and Slice. Sometimes with novellas, I feel a little short changed in the story but not with this one!
This is a great collection of stories by some wonderful authors. Admittedly, E.L. Koslo was the only author I had previously read, so this was a good opportunity for me to discover new-to-me authors through their story contributions.
While E.L.'s story Best Laid Plans did not disappoint and had me reading it TWICE (hello extra-delicious spice from Ethan and Elle, tying her story into the first book of her Words series), I genuinely enjoyed all of the other stories. I was partial to Rachel Park's Christmas Calendar (photographer-sports star romance, revisiting their teenage relationship years later), and Amber Warren's reverse age-gap Fix My Lights. Am looking forward to adding more of their books to my TBR.
But overall, Indie Spark's Jingle Jollies absolutely won the race to my heart with Sienna and Michael's story of airport meeting-turned romance involving a hilarious tale of holiday-themed sex-toys that had me cackling.
Absolutely recommend you adding this to your list, and no need to wait for the holidays to do it!
Note: I was gifted an advance copy of this book by one of the authors and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.
I really enjoyed this anthology full of short holiday stories with cinnamon roll heroes. Most of these authors were new to me so now I get to look for more from them. The ones I enjoyed the storyline and characters the most were Nat Logan's Cruise, High Rise Holiday by April Gaisford and Sleighing the Game by Lauren Frasier. Definitely a great anthology.
I was sent a free book and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
From a hot biker, to a business man, a pro athlete, a reverse age gap, and everything in between, this book has them all. With all the magic of falling in love at Christmas. Some of my favorite authors, and some new to me authors, have written a wonderful book full of quick, easy to read, easy to fall in love with, stories. Definitely a recommend, 5 star read.
My review is for Nat Logans Cruise. It's Jason "Cruise" Parker and Willa “Hurricane” Danvers, (aka Brave Heart) story. It's a great, quick, age gap, second chance, life after the military story that is definitely swoon-worthy. Cruise and Willa are utterly perfect for each other and the chemistry is explosive! Hopefully Slice will get his story too.
I love anthologies mostly because I get a variety of short stories and are introduced to some authors I hadn't heard of before. These are mostly Hallmark-esq stories with some spice thrown in. My favorites were by EL Koslo and Indie Sparks, the plot and character building were on point for those two.
I received an advance copy of this book and am leaving this review voluntarily
Jingle Jollies by Indie Spark is a laugh-out loud, fast burn rom-com, from a sisters’ Christmas sex toy business proposal to a dishy meet-cute in the airport, this short Christmas story knocks it out the park.
I can’t wait to read the other stories in the cinnamon roll hero, Christmas themed anthology.
I love Nat's series of Bluff Creek MC series. This story is about Cruise and how he and Slice ended up here after the military. Willa was their friend and helo pilot overseas. When he finds out she's in trouble, they rally around her. The only problem I saw, was she didn't ask her abuser if he killed her father instead of it listed as an accident. HEA.
I dove head first into this book because I absolutely adore Nat Logan and the guys of Bluff Creek. And, of course, her part of the book was spectacular but I got to be introduced to the other authors as well. Cinnamon and Spice was a great read and something I got great pleasure from reading.
I loved Nat Logan's story in this anthology as well as a couple stories by other authors, all of whom were new to me. The fun part of anthologies is they expose you to authors you might not otherwise have an opportunity to read and discover new favorites. A fun reason to enjoy Christmas in July!
The stories in this anthology had me binge reading! I don't think a better collection of cinnamon roll heros could've been compiled! I loved this anthology! I met some new to me authors & now I have to read anything else they've written!!!
Cruise and Willa's story was so beautiful! Short and sweet but absolutely perfect! To know that they both had feelings for each other all this time was like a chest punch. For them to finally get a chance at everything they dreamed of was pure sweetness. Loved every single word!!
This is a great anthology that got off to a good start with Cruise’s storyline…there is something magical about a determined biker with a soft heart when he realizes the second chance he thought he lost comes back around at the perfect time!
This is a delightful fit for readers who crave lighthearted, feel-good stories with a dash of spice, featuring swoony heroes, second chances, and small-town charm, perfect for getting into the holiday spirit.
