Pills, Thrills and Property Development: The role of pop-cultural entrepreneurs in the regeneration of Manchester City Centre

Rate this book
This short study undertakes an analysis of the changing role of cultural entrepreneurs in the design- and culture-led regeneration of Manchester City Centre. It looks at the role of key actors and the activities they undertook to provoke change in the cultural (and physical) makeup of the city. It is my contention that this analysis provides information on events that has largely gone unrecorded. To quote one ‘Somebody needs to document this at some stage’.
