Knot Her Reality

Rate this book
Season three of Heated is starting out with a bang—public outcry, protests, and boycotts—all before we’ve even begun filming.
I know you have to be wondering how a reality dating show could cause this kind of reaction. That would be because of me. My name’s Evangeline, and I'm this season’s omega. Did I mention that I'm a proud bisexual woman? Being bisexual in this day and age isn’t a big deal… unless you’re a woman. Then it’s selfish and an absolute travesty, according to my parents, who disowned me years ago. Apparently, because there are fewer women born every year, I shouldn’t be allowed to fall in love with them. Just like the first two seasons, I have twenty suitors this season—both men and women; alphas, betas, and even omegas—who are contending for my love and a spot in my pack. Even though chaos encompasses this season, I still only have eight weeks to choose who I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. No pressure or anything. As much as I want to find my pack and love who I want to love, I can't help wondering if this will all be worth it in the end.

I really struggled believing in the relationships in this book. I felt like I didn’t understand or get to see special moments that helped me feel the connection between them.

Sadly Repetitive & Super Shallow

This story could have been so good had it not been executed so poorly. This book has next to zero character development and there was a severe lack of meaningful dialogue.

This book has one of the most egregious examples of failure to "show, don't tell" that I have ever seen. There are entire conversations between the MCs that we are told happened, but we as a reader are not privy to. We don't know the specifics of anything that was said as they continued to get to know one another leaving many of the love interests as the wrong kind of mysterious. As in it's a complete mystery how they all fell for each other and that's a real shame.

The rest of the book I noticed, developed a bit of an echo.

You know the low effort raps that just repeat words instead of finding other words that rhyme? Well this book was like that (sans rhyming of course).

The issue got so bad that I would consistently find paragraphs in which the next to last sentence would be repeated in a slightly different way using the same key words in the sentence after, or identical verbiage would be repeated multiple times throughout. There were also a lot of back to back sentences that ended in the exact same manner.

A couple examples:

“Yeah, I bet we can find some clothes in the bedroom. Evangeline’s pants might be too long for you, but I’m sure she has something that’ll fit. I know Koda has some clothes in her room as well, and I’m sure those will fit.”

“I do. That’s why I said it.” When she focuses on me again, she’s grinning. “Sorry, it’s a lot of fun giving them a hard time, but they really do have sex all the time. They don’t even seem to care where we are or if it’s an appropriate time.

I have a recommendation for the author's TBR list, it's a magical book called a thesaurus.

The representation, the characters (most of them), the story, the pace literally almost everything about this book was enjoyable. Its hard to choose a favorite character or even a favorite part of the book just bc everything was amazing.

Even when there was drama I loved how Evangeline handled everything. She was super mature, understanding, sweet and funny. She knows exactly who she is and isn't ashamed about it. She's not afraid of speaking out and I love that about her. One of the reasons why I really love the pack that she chose is that they were real and true to themselves. They never changed who they were to try and get her to like them, even if they were uncomfortable about something or unsure they say and spoke about it like mature adults.

Even though all of them have very different personalities they all just fit perfectly with each other. I liked how the author gave not only Evangeline time to get to know people but also the readers to actually form a connection with the characters. Bc of the amount of characters there was in this book I was a bit worried I was gonna feel overwhelmed a little in trying to remember everyone but the author wrote it in a way that I didn't. There was time to actually get to know the characters without being rushed.

I love the bi representation. 💜💜 I thought it was amazing how this book was different than the other ones bc the suitors were a mix of men and women.

I don't know what else to say besides I truly enjoyed and loved this book. Theres nothing I would have liked to be done differently or even added it was perfect from the beginning to end.

Fun and light RH Series

This is the third book in the series I’ve read, and I still really like the concept. It was cool that this time it featured a bisexual omega who was a woman. I also have a soft spot for the format of the story in the fact that it’s a supernatural bachelorette. And overall, I find this series fun to read.

I have a few nitpicks, I find that some relationships really get glossed over. I’m guessing this is due to the fact that the pack is so giant but I do wish sometimes a bit more time was spent on the development of certain romances. And I could do with a bit less time spent on drama, althoughalthough the setting is a reality TV show, so maybe that’s super unrealistic on my part.

I also really didn’t like the fact that that one of the side FMC’s experienced assault, which was basically glossed over. In fact, the main FMC was kind of shitty about it which turned me off, it made me like the main FMC a lot less. Also, if you’re going to include assault in your books, like just please handle the aftermath well. I find this happens a lot in RH. this type of thing just gets tossed in and really mishandled. This example wasn’t that bad compared to some of the other RH I have read, but it still really threw me for a bit of a loop and did impact my enjoyment.

Love this series.

I love this series. The setting is great. I have not watched a reality show but I have to assume they are kinda similar. The personalities of each of the 20 contestants, the behind the scenes people and all of the help both on the compound and in the various spaces for the dates are just phenomenal. The first two books I kept score cards on who Evie kicks out and who I would kick out. Keep writing Miranda May and I will keep reading.

There are no words to describe how much I adore this series of standalones! Every single time, I get completely sucked into the story, struggling against the desire to go check at the back who will ultimately become part of the omega's pack. Seriously, the moment the pre order for this book came back online, I almost screamed from joy. And "Knot Her Reality" absolutely did not disappoint. This might not be the book for everyone because it's a complete poly story with MM and FF, but I sincerely believe you're missing out on something amazing. I truly loved it, and I believe I'll be smiling the entire day because of the satisfying HEA.

Did not finish this one, I just don’t think I can survive though it.

I don’t love the need for pictures of the main characters, I don’t necessarily need to have an exact photo, just describe them to me.

Speaking of characters, I felt there was far too many, and we spent no actual time getting to know them.

Honestly, the main reason I’m not finishing this one, Pack Reyes. Paisley clearly is being groomed, and it’s honestly just not a worthy arc. Like the fact that Evangeline is even considering her is enough for me to be done, regardless of how it ends.

I don't think omegaverse books are my thing overall, but I also felt the pacing on this book was wildly off. It felt like not a lot happened for the first third (spicy or plot wise) and then a lot was shoved into the end. The CFA subplot would have been really interesting if it had been fleshed out and introduced sooner (if this appeared in an earlier book, I didn't read those).

Knot Her Reality is book 3 in Miranda May's Heated series. These are interconnected stand-alones that do have some characters from the other books present. Each book is a completed storyline and a why choose omegaverse romance. KHR includes MM, FF and poly scenes.

I absolutely devour these books. If you love Competition Reality TV Shows, this series is one for you. Think 'The Bachelorette' meets 'Survivor' with the added bonus of Omegaverse. Book 1 is season 1, book 2 is season 2 and so forth. In these books, the show 'Heated' takes 1 omega and 20 suitors, living together under 1 roof. The omega of the season picks her packmates from the 20 suitors that applied to be on their season. She's allowed to pick as many or as little as she wants until her pack feels complete. Each week, a rose ceremony is held and each suitor is given a colored rose depending on what the omega chooses. At the end of the show, the omega will have her pack chosen and bonds with them if she hasn't already.

Knot Her Reality has 1 female omega and a mixture of 20 different men and women in all designations. This season/book was way different than the first 2. The drama was intense and seemed to take over. Mixing that with the protesters, it was a nnerve-wracking book to read. But once Evangeline knew who she wanted, it was exciting to read who she would choose to be in her pack.

The detail for the characters is thorough and the plot/spice ratio is pretty even. Some of those spicy scenes though? Hot damn.

If you want to feel like you're reading a TV Show, like you're right there with them, read this series!

okay

I was confused with this story.
My understanding at first was that the main character Evangeline can be with an omega, a beta, or an alpha independently by having one mate or multiple if she decides.

This seems to be inaccurate in the end, it appears to me an omega will always need to be knotted/locked during their heat. Can an omega really choose one mate let’s say a beta and be happy for the rest of their lives? You know, could she really choose 4 beta and 1 omega? I don’t think so. In this scenario there really isn’t any complications with an omega being bisexual then, so why the protest plot? She will always need an alpha! I didn’t realize specific designation would matter for her to be satiated.

Kodak and Evangeline were slaves to their omega characteristics so that doesn’t count for chemistry. Tess and her have chemistry and there was an actually choice to be in each other lives. The others, I don’t get anything from them which I’ll ask, why a big pack with so many people with no chemistry.

DNF.

With the repetitive nature of this series and the overwhelming number of characters in it, i'm starting to get more picky and I binge read this series.

Unfortunately for this book, I just did not care about the fmc and since it is her dating show I have no desire to continue and struggle learningall the suitors.

At this point i am willing to give book 4 a chance but only because I liked book 5. (Which I read first.) But knowing what I know about the rest of these books, I am not sure how much I would have enjoyed book five or if i would have even picked it up if I read any other one first. Or maybe I would still have enjoyed 5 since there are less people and an omega in a different situation. Both things still stand out to me compared to the other books.

Really well written, great universe, why choose

All of these are things that are important to me, and can be tough to find. The universe is fascinating, as are all of the the in icerses this author writes. Her take on Omegaverse may be my favorite. There is angst, but not to an agonizing level. There are same sex details, so if that is a deal killer, know there are MM and FF sex actions, and, while I’m not turned on by this, neither am I turned off. I really enjoyed this story, and getting the story on what happened in the prior book with a character who is important. No spoilers, but it was very satisfying.

I actually liked Koda and Tessa better than Evangeline. I wasn’t a fan of Tessa’s character and her decisions. So many things didn’t make sense. I didn’t agree with Lilian being part of their pack either. I did like having the bisexual theme though.

Format: 📱eBook 📱
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.75
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5

This is book 3 in the series, and I would highly recommend reading the first two books first - even though they are interconnected standalones as a whole. I didn't, and there are some spoilers for the previous books, but I know it won't impact my enjoyment of them when I do go back and read them.

What a read that was, though! Honestly, I think if this were our reality, this would be the one dating reality show I could get behind watching. May's OV world is beautifully set up, even if I really hate the biphobia regarding bisexual females in it (which shows that May has done amazingly with her writing to elicit such a reaction).

I loved Evangeline as an FMC. She's a strong, independent, career driven omega who's ready to find her pack, and I love that this is something that continues on through the book. Her past is heartbreaking, but I love that she's overcome it and grown into such a strong woman because of it. Nothing holds her back.

The suitors. I could ramble on about them for hours, but man, they were all great. There were some that kind of blended in - I think a creative choice by May that really paid off well, and some that had some distinct emotional reactions - I won't say more, cause spoilers. But I felt it was clear the ones who Evangeline would connect with most from the get-go, even if I was mildly surprised as the show went on and the rose ceremonies rolled on. Some of them have such amazing pasts, stories and professions, I honestly wanted to know more about them, but alas, the limits of a fiction novel.

I definitely have a favourite suitor, though. And I'm pretty sure they'll be everyone's favourite.

This book is full of emotion, twists and turns, some blush-worthy spice, and some incredibly sweet moments. I had so much fun reading it and I honestly cannot wait for the next installment in the series (and to go back and binge the prior books).

Made For Each Other

Gracious, from the very beginning we got the feeling that things were gonna be a bit more tense & stressful for our FMC, Evangeline, and all because she was bi & had both men AND women vying for her heart. Then we heard a little of Evangeline’s back story & I don’t know about y’all, but I wanted to reach through the pages & give her a mom-hug so bad. I loved how this story brought so many issues to light that people truly struggle with in society, even if it was all done in the midst of a contemporary Omegaverse backdrop. All of that just makes her strength & confidence that much more exemplary. Thennnnn we get to the fun parts…meeting our suitors for the 1st time, and y’all, things just got better & better with each new introduction. I was firmly all for not choosing 😂I’m not gonna name any names to try to keep the mystery alive, but I will say it was so nice to see some familiar faces 😍🙌🏻 As usual, there were also plenty of troublemakers (both good & bad) that made things EXTREMELY entertaining. One minute I was laughing, the next shaking my head, the next blushing, then before I knew it I’d find myself mad as heck. It was definitely a roller coaster ride 😂 I absolutely loved the dynamic of the pack that Evie finally chose, and I was totally on board with everyone who became a part of her pack. As usual, there were a couple of absolutely wonderful characters that didn’t make it into the final pack, so I’m really hoping to see them in the future 🤞🏼
Bottom line…if you love whychoose romance & reality dating/bachelorette type shows, then this is just what you’re looking for. I will also point out that while you can totally read this as a stand-alone, there are so many little details that won’t make as much of an impact if you haven’t read the 1st two books. Not to mention, they’re soooo amazing, so why wouldn’t you 😉😝 Can’t wait for more from this series ❤️

knot her reality

First things first, I'm not into reading anything related with more than one female in the act, no FF, no MFF, no FMF no nothing....But! This ride here was waaaaaaaaaaaay to good to get bothered by that! Honestly , though just a book that is been about a reality show and an omegaverse (alphaverse beta verse name it there is so much going on here 😂) , what is described and deals with , the struggle of being diffrend, of being something outside the norm, of trying to be accepted for who and what you are completly, is a society problem that we acctually deal with in real life, in our real world.

This book is book three of the series, I haven't read the other 2 unfortunately but I will! Heated is a reality show where our fmc enters to find her pack. Evangeline is s bi omega and she gets males and females vying for her hart. From the very beggining things are so stressfull for fmc and tense. She gets criticized and scrutinized for being who she is, but she is a strong omega with confidence and a purpose.

So off to the smexy and funny parts!Meeting the suitors and boy what a ride that was. Each introduction better than the previous...you will get the meaning of "why choose" here just splendid....we get our trouble makers, good and bad, we get our moments of laugh, of getting angry and frustrated and then back to laughing and back to losing our heads ! Just have in mind that amongst all these, Evangeline is an omega that though strong and confident, has a backstory that will make you want to go in there , hug her, squeeze her tight and tell her "alls gonna be ok, you are OK, you are perfect just the way you are"

This book is the 3rd book in the Heated Series. This one features Evangeline (Evie) and she has come to the reality show Heated to find her pack. Evie is an Omega and she has been busy building her career, but now feels like she is ready for a pack and a family. Since Evie is bisexual, there is a lot of backlash from those who don't feel like she should be able to love who she loves. (There are a lot of parallels to the things that are said to Evie in this book that are COMPLETELY relevant to women today, whether they are bisexual or not. It's so interesting that everyone feels like they are entitled to tell a woman what she is allowed to do with her body ).

Evie will have 20 suitors who come to meet with her and from them she hopes to be able to choose her forever pack. There are saboteurs, deceivers and true loves contained in those suitors. Will Evie be able to find the ones that she is meant to be with always? It was so interesting reading how Evie clicked with some of the suitors immediately (there are men and women and they are alphas, betas and omegas). I loved how in spite of all the different personalities, Evie was sure of what she wanted and while sometimes it was painful, she would let people go if they didn't fit perfectly. I also loved her and the descriptions of her favorite clothes and how she was always put together.

Knot Her Reality is book three in the Heated Series written by Miranda May.

💜 omegaverse style bachelorette
💜 alphas, omegas, and betas
💜 age gap
💜 why choose
💜 forced proximity
💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice

Evangeline can’t believe she’s here. She’s going to be The omega on Heated. After working so hard to become the fashion designer that she is, it’s finally time for her to start finding her pack. The problem? She’s bisexual and that’s not something that everyone is ok with. But, that’s not her problem now. She’s going on this show to find her pack. It doesn’t hurt that she’s also supplying her designs for those on the show to wear, free advertising, right? Who will she meet on this season? Who will she decide on to be in her pack? How many people will she invite to be part of her pack?

This was such a fun book. I loved the addition of Evangeline’s story to this series. Each season brings its own unique omega and a unique set of circumstances. There are also other factors that happen outside of the omegas that also add to the storyline. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoy reading this series and I can’t wait to see if there will be more to come.

4.5. My favourite type of RH books are ones where everyone is in love with everyone. And this books delivers that almost perfectly. Each character was fun, the sex was fun. The whole concept of Heated is interesting and exciting too. I really loved Koda and Ronan’s characters, I think partly because they were lucky to get a lot of the attention. I do wish we saw everyone in a domestic setting afterwards, either before or after the events of the epilogue, to show pack life after the show. I also probably would have enjoyed seeing the rest of the pack interacting since the whole point was everyone loves everyone, it felt a bit Evangeline central for it to do that as well as it could’ve. But overall a great book with fun drama

Also I think I’ve read the word ‘bisexual’ too many times and the whole ‘i’m bisexual and proud’ felt nice but it felt a quite overdone honestly (coming from someone who is bisexual)

[SPOILERS]
I didn’t like how long it took for Evie to kick Viktor out but then it took her a few days to trust Natalie again. That felt odd and unnecessary.

I’m conflicted about this book. I thought the main character was likable, but not as much as in the last two books. The writing was interesting. However, I did not like the repetitive use of phrases, like "she ducked her head" multiple times. Although I loved the commentary on love, I felt it detracted from the characters.

I loved Roman and her beta; they were an absolute joy. Victor was gross and disgusting. I don’t understand why the main character waited so long to cut him out. I liked Knox but also had mixed feelings about him.

I hope to love the next one even more. If you haven’t checked out the book before this, you should. Sophie and Chase are my absolute favorites, and I love Bree. I liked how they added Tessa, but her story felt underdeveloped. It was mentioned once and then everyone just moved on. Overall, it was a cute story. It was an interesting read. I'm rating it 3.5 stars.

Knot her Reality by Miranda May is an omegaverse paranormal romance novel. It is a why choose romance and trust me after you read it you will see why. I have been waiting for book 3 after reading the first 2. First I absolutely loved the world building in this book. The plot and story line are great and while it can be read as stand alone I definitely would read the first 2. There are so many characters, some love and some you despise.
Evangeline is an amazing omega. She is independent, capable, intelligent and is finally ready to find her home and pack. She has a very tragic past but is ready to overcome that. She loves men and women. Her suitors were amazing and I think she picked well. I do not want to give anything away. There are some I hope to see in another book though that were skipped and some I was glad to say bye to.
This book and series are amazing. I can not wait for more. Miranda May has done a great job!

This is the third book in the Heated series and I have to say this is my favorite so far. Don’t get me wrong, I loved all of them as well as Bree and Sophia, but this one just was fantastic. We meet Evangeline who is looking for her pack. By being bisexual she encounters some issues that Bree and Sophia didn’t. I really loved Evangeline and her personality. She didn’t make any compromises for her beliefs and who she is. The suitors were fantastic and played their part extremely, even the ones that have off vibes. The book is extremely well written and I loved that we get more of knowing the characters more first before jumping right in. I thought it was full of drama and a bit of suspense at times. It has humor that flows right into the story. This one is extremely well written and developed. I loved the storyline and it ends is beautiful. This is an excellent story and definitely a must read.

In this third installment of the Heated Series we follow Evangeline (Evie) as she goes on the Heated Reality Show! For those that don't know Heated is a Bachelorette reality show OV series!!!! In this book we have LGBTQ+ themes as we have the very first bisexual Omega! There are some definite haters but Evie doesn't let it affect her!!

Follow Evie as she chooses her Pack between 20 suitors as all of them want to be a part of her life in one way or another! There is plenty of smut all throughout the book! The love between Evie and her Pack is the kind that's the most beautiful thing in the world!

Miranda May has done it again with this amazing book! I cannot wait for the next series to come out! ❤️❤️❤️

Finding Her Pack

All Hale Miranda May and her Heated series. Knot Her Reality is the third season of Heated, an Omegaverse reality show based on the Bachelorette.
In this season Evangeline, our fierce, independent Omega fashion designer deals with controversy, due to her being bisexual, attempted sabotage, deception, and lots of steam, while she tries find her pack. There is a combination of Alpha, Beta, and also Omega suitors. Some are there looking for their forever, and others are there for nefarious reasons.
And we even get a wonderful surprise in the end.
Also, be on the look out for a few of our favorites from show.
You have to grab Knot Her Reality and fall in love with Evangeline and her soon to be pack.
